Return Of The Supreme Beast Tamer
Chapter 111: Why Me? Again?!!

Chapter 111: Why Me? Again?!!

"Leyla!!" Amara’s voice boomed through the room.

"Yes, Madam!!"

Leyla, appeared instantly, standing respectfully before Amara.

"Get ready," Amara instructed, her tone leaving no room for argument. "You and those lazy five outside will go and search for my son!"

Advika’s gaze flickered towards Adonis, Ethan, and Katherine. Despite their mother’s dramatic outburst, they remained completely unfazed, not even offering a word of protest.

’What kind of family is this?’ she wondered in utter bewilderment.

"Mum!!! Your handsome son has returned!!!" Christopher’s cheerful voice announced from the doorway.

Amara froze mid-sentence, her head snapping towards the entrance. Every eye in the sitting room followed suit, watching as Christopher strolled in, a relaxed smile on his face.

’Wow... Your house is even more breathtaking in person,’ Tiamat’s disembodied voice whispered beside him as she took in the opulent surroundings.

"Son?!" Amara exclaimed, her earlier agitation instantly melting away. She turned and hurried towards Christopher, her long strides eating up the distance between them.

’Oh no, Christopher is in trouble now,’ Sylvia thought nervously.

Everyone watched as Amara stopped directly in front of Christopher, her gaze searching his.

The next moment, however, completely defied their expectations.

"Where have you been, Son? I’ve been so worried sick!" Amara said, her voice now filled with genuine concern and affection. She reached out, gently took his hand, and began pulling him towards the dining room. "Come on now, let’s get you something to eat. I know you must be starving."

"..."

Sylvia and Advika exchanged flabbergasted glances, while the other members of the household merely rolled their eyes, a familiar scene unfolding before them.

"Advika? Sylvia? Why are you two here?" Christopher asked, glancing back at them as his mother continued to lead him away.

"Oh!" Amara stopped abruptly and turned back to the two girls. "Where are my manners? Come on, girls... Let’s have dinner. And you two mustn’t even think about leaving tonight. You’re staying here."

".....!!?"

"....."

"....."

The two girls and even Christopher were utterly stunned by this unexpected turn of events. Even her own family seemed taken aback by her sudden hospitality.

"We have so many guest rooms, and it’s already quite late." Amara explained, her tone surprisingly reasonable. "Sending you home at this hour wouldn’t be ideal."

"Ahem," Advika cleared her throat, trying to regain her composure.

"Sorry, Ma’am, but we really can’t stay. You see... our father isn’t well, and we need to be there to help our mother. She can’t manage everything on her own."

Amara listened attentively, her expression thoughtful. Before she could offer a reply, Christopher interjected.

"Yes, Mum... You can’t possibly keep them here against their will. When they’re ready to stay, they will. For now... I think they should be with their family. Don’t worry about them; I’ll take the sisters home later."

"That’s absolutely lovely!" Amara exclaimed, her face lighting up.

"..."

Christopher stared at his mother, utterly bewildered.

’Couldn’t she at least pretend to object a little?’ he thought, a frown creasing his brow. ’What is she up to?’

’I have a strong suspicion she’s trying to subtly pair you with one of them... perhaps her,’ Tiamat’s voice echoed in his mind, as she gestured to Advika.

’Ah, yes... So she is that stubborn lady’s chosen one...’

Tiamat’s spectral form drifted towards Advika, slowly circling her, her translucent body shimmering. She finally settled behind the plush sofa, her ethereal gaze fixed on the young woman.

’Impressive. She possesses a remarkably high fire constitution... That egg you acquired will be exceptionally beneficial for her,’ Tiamat mentally communicated to Christopher.

’I am well aware of that. That’s precisely why I went to the trouble of acquiring it!’ Christopher retorted telepathically.

Tiamat gave an unseen eye roll, resting her spectral jaw on the sofa’s headrest, her ethereal legs swinging gently beside Advika and Katherine.

’Can you please stop hovering so close to her?!’ Christopher hissed inwardly.

Advika suddenly raised an eyebrow, a faint prickle of unease running down her spine as she felt Christopher’s intense gaze on her. She glanced over her shoulder, but saw nothing out of the ordinary.

’Why has he been staring at me so intently?’ she wondered, a mild sense of confusion settling in.

’Oh?! You’ve managed to make her feel self-conscious... Now she’s wondering why you’re giving her such a look,’ Tiamat chuckled mentally, a mischievous glint in her unseen eyes.

’You! I am not staring at her; I am staring at you! Wait... you can actually hear thoughts?’ Christopher’s mental voice was laced with surprise.

’Indeed,’ Tiamat confirmed, settling more comfortably on the headrest, her spectral legs now swinging back and forth between Advika and Katherine.

’Stop it!’ Christopher mentally commanded.

"Hey now... Why the sudden panic? No one else can see or hear me, and besides, even if I were to touch them, they wouldn’t feel a thing." Tiamat replied with a spectral smile.

Christopher sighed inwardly, a sense of resignation washing over him. He turned to his father. "What do you think, Dad?" he asked aloud.

Ethan looked at Advika, his expression neutral. "If the girls are comfortable with it."

"Yes... We’ll go with him," Advika nodded, a plan already forming in her mind.

’This could be a good opportunity to discuss the companies and the land with him,’ she thought.

’Oh... It appears she has something she wishes to discuss with you,’ Tiamat chimed in mentally, a knowing tone in her voice.

’Really? Like what?’ Christopher mentally inquired.

’Something about certain... land acquisitions and company mergers.’ Tiamat answered, her unseen gaze flicking upwards towards him.

’Understood,’ Christopher nodded.

While the intrusion into others’ thoughts wasn’t ideal, Tiamat’s ability could prove to be incredibly useful. The ancient goddess might be stubborn, playful, and undeniably mischievous, but she was also proving to be a far more valuable asset than he had initially imagined.

"Then it’s settled!" Amara declared, her earlier frustration completely forgotten.

"Everyone! To the dining room!" She then firmly grasped Christopher’s arm and practically dragged him towards the adjacent room.

[Ten minutes later.]

Advika found herself seated at an impossibly long dining table, her eyes wide with astonishment as she took in the sheer quantity and variety of food spread before her. In her entire life, she had never witnessed such an extravagant display. She couldn’t even begin to fathom if they could possibly eat even a fraction of it.

’You’ve certainly demonstrated how much you dote on him, but do you really have to feed him as well?’ she thought, her gaze fixed on Amara, who was currently meticulously cutting a piece of meat for Christopher.

"So, Son..." Ethan began, his voice calm. "There’s something I want to ask you..."

"No. No. No! Old man!"

Amara instantly interjected, her tone surprisingly sharp: "This is the dining table! If you have any questions, they can wait until later, do you understand me?"

Ethan stared at his wife for a brief two seconds, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes, before nodding his head slowly.

"At least let the boy eat in peace. He’s hardly a child anymore."

"He will always be my child," Amara retorted, her voice softening slightly as she turned back to Christopher.

"When will you be free, big brother? Don’t forget you promised to take me shopping!" Katherine piped up, completely unfazed by the earlier tension.

’Shopping? Didn’t she just go on a massive shopping spree just this evening?’ Advika wondered in mild confusion, glancing around the table.

The rest of the family seemed completely unperturbed by Katherine’s seemingly endless appetite for consumerism.

’Rich people truly don’t understand the value of money,’ she mused.

"When would you like to go?" Christopher asked Katherine, his tone indulgent.

"Tomorrow!" she replied enthusiastically, then turned to Advika with a bright smile. "And Advika can come with us!"

"Alright," Christopher agreed with a nod.

’Why me? Again?! What in the world is going on here?!’ Advika screamed inwardly.
