Chapter 107: Let’s Go Shopping!
"No... You will see me in my true form when you acquire my second fragment. Do not fret, I will guide your path." She stood up, waiting patiently.
Christopher stared at her, a deep frown creasing his forehead. "If you are truly the Water Goddess, that means I gained your powers in that future, yet I still failed in that devastating battle!"
"That is correct," she confirmed. "You did gain a portion of my power, but you failed to locate my third fragment. And most importantly, you were alone. You failed to recruit the other chosen ones. Had you succeeded in that, you might have stood a chance."
Christopher continued to stare at her, searching for any hint of deception. After a tense five seconds, he sighed and rubbed his ring.
The familiar blue orb materialized before the group, casting an ethereal glow throughout the cave. Simultaneously, the woman’s body began to radiate a brilliant light.
"You truly are the Water Goddess," Christopher breathed, a sense of awe washing over him.
"Just cease your questioning and begin the absorption process," she said quickly, her tone brooking no argument.
Christopher nodded, sat down cross-legged, and closed his eyes, focusing his inner energy.
The woman smiled gently as he began the arduous process of absorption.
"If I may ask... what is your name?" Christopher inquired, his eyes still closed.
"Tiamat," she answered, her voice resonating with ancient power.
Christopher nodded and deepened his concentration, fully committing to absorbing the divine energy.
Tiamat turned to the fountain, carefully collected the shimmering tears in her hands – not a single drop spilled – and walked towards the hovering blue orb. With a graceful gesture, she poured the water onto the orb. The next instant, Christopher’s entire being erupted in a brilliant blue light.
"Compared to the other chosen ones, I am the strongest, and my chosen will remain that way," Tiamat murmured, a confident smile gracing her lips as she watched Christopher bathed in divine light.

[Advika’s Home.]
[One hour later.]
[6:30 PM.]
DING!
Sylvia walked to the front door and opened it.
"...?"
She stared in mild confusion at the stunning blonde woman standing before her, radiating an almost otherworldly beauty.
"You must be Sylvia. Hi... I’m Katherine, Christopher’s younger sister," Katherine said with a warm, genuine smile.
"Oh... Please, come inside," Sylvia stammered, stepping back and opening the door wider. Katherine smiled and entered, while Sylvia’s gaze lingered on the five imposing bodyguards standing like silent sentinels in front of two gleaming white BMWs. A vibrant yellow Ferrari was parked ostentatiously in the driveway.
"Don’t mind those five; my dad insisted they follow me," Katherine explained, still walking into the spacious entryway.
"Oh," was all Sylvia managed to say as she closed the door behind their guest.
"Please, can I get you anything?" she offered, gesturing towards the comfortable-looking couch in the living room.
"Don’t worry, I’m perfectly fine... But could you perhaps help me find Advika? We have somewhere we need to go before dinner," Katherine requested.
"Right away," Sylvia nodded and quickly headed towards the staircase.
Katherine’s eyes swept over the expansive and tastefully decorated sitting room, a soft smile gracing her lips. ’Brother is truly generous, providing such a magnificent house for the family... Well, with his current wealth, owning fifty of these wouldn’t even be a significant dent,’ she mused.
___
"Advika, Miss Katherine is here," Sylvia announced, entering Advika’s room. She found her sister sitting on the bed, staring intently at a large pile of dresses laid out before her.
"Really?" Advika picked up her phone from beside her and checked the time. "It’s only 6:33... I thought she said dinner started around 7:30?" she muttered, a hint of confusion in her voice.
"Miss Katherine said you two are going somewhere before dinner," Sylvia explained, walking towards the bed and looking at her sister with a slight frown.
"Why that look?" Advika asked, noticing Sylvia’s expression.
"Firstly, why are you still in pants when you have all these beautiful dresses right in front of you? Secondly, why are you staring at them like a lost puppy?" Sylvia questioned, her tone a mixture of exasperation and concern.
"What else do you expect me to wear? Another dress?" Advika retorted, raising an eyebrow.
Sylvia facepalmed.
"And," Advika continued, oblivious to her sister’s frustration, "I didn’t realize Christopher also bought all these jewelry and makeup sets. What am I even supposed to do with them? Well, I suppose I could simply sell them; the jewelry would probably fetch a good price," she mused aloud.
"I don’t have time to explain anything to you right now... Just get up! I told you she’s waiting, and it seems like she’s in a hurry!" Sylvia urged, trying to pull her sister off the bed.
"In a hurry? Then why did she come here first?" Advika asked, genuinely confused.
"How in the hell am I supposed to know that?!" Sylvia exclaimed, her patience finally wearing thin.
"Okay, okay... I’m going," Advika conceded, finally getting off the bed and heading towards the door. Alone in the room, Sylvia immediately dove into the pile of clothes.
"This sister of mine is truly bizarre. Clothes, jewelry, makeup, bags, and shoes... these are all top-tier products, each costing tens of thousands... and she’s actually considering selling them all? And I can’t believe she only gave me three dresses, one piece of jewelry, and no bags, shoes, or even makeup... Does she still think I’m a child?"
She sighed dramatically and stood up. "Well, I should probably go keep our guest company," she muttered, walking out of the room.
___
"Mum? You’re here?" Advika asked in surprise, seeing her mother, Anna, chatting animatedly with Katherine in the living room.
"Oh, yes, dear. I came downstairs to get something and saw this lovely girl here. You never told me you had such beautiful friends," Anna said with a warm smile.
"You were busy," Advika replied, then turned to Katherine. "I thought dinner was at 7:30?" she inquired.
"Yes, it is... but I came here to take you shopping. My brother might have only gotten you that one dress, and you can’t possibly wear the same thing every time... So, come on!" Katherine stood up with an enthusiastic smile.
"Uh? But Christopher—"
"—No buts! You’re coming with me," Katherine cut her off playfully and turned to Anna. "Ma’am, please help me convince her."
Anna turned to Advika, a persuasive look in her eyes. "Come on now, just go with her. She’s really insisting."
’Mum hasn’t seen all the things Christopher gave me, so she...’ Advika sighed inwardly.
"Where are you two going?" Sylvia asked, descending the stairs and joining them in the living room.
"Perfect! You can come with us too, Sylvia! I’ll get you something as well!" Katherine exclaimed, her generosity seemingly boundless.
"...."
"....."
"....?!"
Anna, Advika, and Sylvia were all momentarily speechless, their expressions a mixture of shock and disbelief.
’Are the younger generation of the Valhalla family just looking for people to shower with money?’
That single thought echoed in all three women’s minds.
