oh wang lin is very well written this novel shopws a character growth from an insignificant and emotional mc to a callculative warlord it was very good to read er gen s 1st book in this series
I normally don't read cultivation novels but this one was quite good. Start can be a bit unlikable for some. Read this on another site like 4 months ago btw. 4.5/5
Great power system, interesting side characters, amazing main character, peak dao comperhension, insane cosmology.
Er Gen always delivers peak.
Cultivation novels are usually trash, with the expectation of a few, and Ergen novels always deliver
Everything about it is just amazing, and if you're trying to get into Ergen novels or just cultivation its a great one
10/10
Absolutely beautiful novel and part of a great series too. The slow start might not be eveyone's favourite, but the rest of the story is amazing
Definitely one of the best works I have ever read, I really recommend it to everyone who asks about cultivation works, Er Gen is truly a genius
[ Oh well this was the review I wrote in lightnovelpub ]
I have completed 960 chapters of this novel as of now and am going to take a few months break. I wanted to write this review after I completed it, but I am kind of in the zone, so I am writing it today.
Since this is a cultivation novel, the clear explanation of realms is important, and I think it is beautifully done in this novel. What makes this realm unique? What makes it different from the previous realm? How are abilities different? It is just perfect.
The story building is good, the arcs are interesting, but a few chapters just feel like a drag and make you want to skip them.
What makes this novel really good are those calm, peaceful arcs and chapters in between or after those chaotic arcs; those are the moments that make you really connected to the emotions of the MC.
And the betrayals-what can you say about them? At some point you might also start thinking maybe all people in your life except your really close family members will just betray you.
Harem, the curse of Chinese novels that makes most of them sh*t, the MC who's brain is between his legs; fortunately none of this exists in this novel.
The characters, besides Mc, are also cunning and know how to scheme and plan; they really feel like people who have been living for hundreds and thousands of years.
Though this isn't the first novel I read, it has become my favorite, and it has made a special place in my heart.
I 100% recommend everyone reading this comment to try it.
Thank you to everyone who read this.
