Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master -
Chapter 100 - 100: We Are Going To Save The Clan
"Any grade will do, even white trash grade is ok," William didn't have specific requirements about the grade of these weapons. In fact, the grade of these wouldn't play any role at all in the upcoming plan.
"I got my ring, Lang has one too, and Claine got the third," Berry said while stopping in front of the many furnaces and cauldrons as she added, "hurry, give three fast runners the three rings. And get the extra arrows and spears from the clan warehouse."
She knew, as everyone in the clan, that the clan's warehouse had tons of such weapons. And it wasn't that hard to find extra arrows and spread of bronze grade even.
Even if she didn't get what William wanted to do, she was sure he was going to marvel and shock everyone, including her.
This wasn't the first time she dealt with him. Back at the forest when he spoke casually and lightly about curing her, she took it as a joke.
Yet she now knew he wasn't joking, even if his words and attitude told otherwise.
"The three of you will go and gather up all the weapons needed then," as the three fastest masters stepped up from the group, Berry started to take off her ring before adding, "bring all the useless arrows and spears from there, in addition to the materials needed."
"Great," William seemed to ignore the looks of doubt over the faces of everyone around, "don't forget the two materials I asked for."
Berry gave her ring to Lang, and the latter took Claine's and his rings and gave them to the three of the fast runners in his little group. "Don't stop at anything and bring everything fast," he added while looking at Berry to hold her accountable for all this.
"Ok," three spirit masters received the rings, nodded their heads and then vanished in high speed.
Watching them leave, William nodded his head in satisfaction. 'They'll become helpful later on,' he took a note of these three in his mind before turning his attention towards the ovens around.
This place seemed to not just harbour the forging work of the clan, but also alchemy.
"What now?" Berry asked from the side, waiting to see what this all would end up at.
"Go and bring wood, light up all the ovens here. Ah, I need a hammer, the higher the grade the better."
"This…"
"Are you sure?! The higher the grade of a forging hammer the heavier it will get. Are you sure you can even sustain its weight with the two thin arms of yours?"
Lang couldn't help but comment from the side. Everyone here might not be adept in forging, but such a weakness was apparent in his eyes.
"Just do as I say," William knew he got a point, but that didn't mean this would stop him. William already handled a heavy hammer before, "let's start working then. You may not know this, but the survival of your clan depends entirely on you."
"What? We are the weakest bunch in the entire clan right now!!" Claine couldn't control himself and said with a frown.
It wasn't just a statement about themselves, but also a hidden remark towards William. After all, even if he said he was a bronze master, he still wore the uniform of porters.
Appearance mattered, and even for spirit masters. To them, what they wore represented their identities. And unconsciously everyone here still saw William as the porter clothes he was wearing, a porter they got used to giving orders to, not receiving orders from, a porter who would have zero power or even an ability to fight.
Not everyone was like Berry.
"I don't think the clan awaits any help from us to get saved… We are strong!" Lang from the side commented, as he didn't get what made William say such words.
"William…" from the side, Berry looked at William in question. She thought they were just going to do some sort of a supporting role when he asked about forging and alchemy.
She never thought that what William wanted to do was going to play a big role in the upcoming war. Not to mention what William just inclined about, being able to turn the tide of the entire battle.
That was expected. After all, in the eyes of many masters, alchemy and forging were just pretty useless to do anything in big fights and wars. But William never thought like that.
"I know you may doubt my words, but I'm sure at the end of the day you will thank me," William didn't want to waste time and breath over explaining something everyone would experience later on.
It wasn't as if he didn't know about the limited and narrow viewpoint of masters here about forging and alchemy. He knew even if he explained, none would get what he meant.
Before anyone would move towards the ovens around, a new voice appeared, stopping all of them in their tracks.
"What's going on here? Why are you standing here instead of looking for a shelter?"
"Fourth elder…" With the sudden appearance of this spirit master, all of them went into silence and couldn't help but retreat a couple of steps before cupping their hands in respect.
Even Berry showed a face of respect mixed with a tinge of fear on her face when she saw him, greeting him in a way she didn't use when meeting up with Gran.
And such a simple detail didn't miss William's eyes.
"Can anyone explain to me?" William looked at this young man who was in his late twentieth or early thirtieth. He wasn't as old as Callom or Gran, but looked as confident, releasing an aura like a savage beast.
He was strong. And it seemed he got a high ranking and quite a reputation in the clan.
William reassessed the man again while Lang dared to speak about what happened here.
As for that fourth elder, despite looking young, he got a lot of white hair on his head. It didn't give any feeling aside from being magnanimous, especially if coupled with those pair of sharp faint brown eyes that kept reminding William of the vibrant strong powerhouses he met before in his past life.
