Reincarnated as the Vampire Princess' Familiar -
Chapter 32 - 31 - Indecent proposal
Chapter 32: 31 - Indecent proposal
«S-Sasha... what are you doing?» I stammer, my voice faltering as terror, embarrassment, and excitement crash together inside me, leaving me completely helpless.
«That’s a rather stupid question coming from someone who—according to their own words—has already experienced sex before,» she retorts, leaning in closer, her gaze making it absolutely clear what her intentions are.
Completely naked and just a step away from me—while I remain firmly chained to her bed—she is a sight impossible to ignore. No matter how much I try to remind myself of all the terrible things she has done, my willpower is pathetic at best. Her enormous breasts sway dangerously close, almost threatening. Honestly, it feels like a miracle they haven’t fallen off her chest and landed on me, considering how heavy they must be. Her hands press into the mattress on either side of my hips, her presence overwhelming.
«Unfortunately, because of my royal status, my father has strictly ordered me to associate only with vampires he personally selects—nobles from families that are politically useful. But, according to him, he still hasn’t found anyone worthy of a union. As if that wasn’t bad enough, that old mutt Dorje disgusts me just by looking at him—flabby, pathetic, completely lacking in any masculinity. I even threw up during the Binding Ritual. The only reason I chose him as my familiar is his strength. But you... you’re definitely cute and still in the prime of your youth...»
Now, I finally understand why her room is filled with all those sex toys...
Her body moves even closer, pressing against mine until her hardened nipples graze my chest.
I flinch. My breathing grows heavy and uneven. My whole body trembles more with each passing second, cold sweat breaking out across my skin.
«N-Not sure this is appropriate...» I murmur timidly.
The sight of her bloodstained torture tools makes my stomach churn. I weigh every word carefully—I definitely don’t want them stained with my blood too. There has to be some law against this. Right? A rule that forbids vampires from torturing another vampire’s familiar? I pray such a rule exists, but I can’t be certain. Best not to risk provoking her.
«To your kind, we’re nothing more than animals forced to fight for your entertainment. I don’t know how things work here, but in our world, doing indecent things with an animal is... a little illegal,» I add, trying to buy time and, if fate allows it, dissuade her from whatever she’s planning.
It’s not like the thought of having sex with Sasha disgusts me—far from it, since she’s undeniably an incredibly seductive woman, but the real issue is the context, because she’s not even my master, and for all I know, this could be considered a betrayal of Ayra, and in such an ancient society, I wouldn’t be surprised if betrayal were punishable by death, so there’s no way I’m risking my life for a quickie.
«Oh no, you’re mistaken, because sex between vampires and humans is absolutely legal, since your bodies are practically identical to ours on the outside, and there’s even an entire district in Noxscura where vampires of all ages and social classes can pay to go at it with attractive humans, though members of the Valakys family are strictly forbidden from entering, as it would supposedly ’compromise the royal family’s image’—yet another of my father’s ridiculous laws.»
In other words, a red-light district. Which means we’re not just their battle animals but also their sex toys, and this just keeps getting worse.
«But there’s one small, insignificant restriction. A vampire cannot indulge with a human who is bound to another familiar through a Binding Ritual,» Sasha adds, her voice showing not the slightest concern about this limitation.
Inside, I let out a quiet sigh of relief. Thankfully, my intuition about familiars being off-limits was correct.
«That’s why you will become my familiar,» she continues, grinning from ear to ear as she stretches over me, pressing her chest and pelvis against mine, our lips so close that I can feel her warm breath brushing against my cheeks.
Her... WHAT?! Is that even possible?!
«I think there’s one small, insignificant detail. I already have a master,» I reply, turning my gaze away—her piercing, wicked eyes intimidate me even more than her torture instruments.
«Oh... yes, my dear little sister Ayra. But I have a feeling she won’t be your master for much longer.»
«What do you mean...?» I ask, a trace of worry in my voice, though I can already guess what she’s referring to.
«Her physical condition is steadily improving, and she should wake up at any moment, but it’s what happens next that matters. Knowing Daphne, she must have already told you, so there’s no need for me to explain it again. Just remember this: Edgar Narkov—one of the three commanders of the Scarlet Army and the master of Rashid, the familiar who just fought Kajetan—is considered the strongest living vampire and also possesses an Innatus. His strength is absolute, as is his natural talent for combat, mastering his Innatus in a record time of only... six months.»
Sasha presses her bare body against me, grinding as she brings our faces even closer.
«If a genius like Edgar took six months to master his Innatus, how do you think Ayra could possibly do it in just one week? Her death is only a matter of days, and when it happens, you’ll be put on the market. Hundreds, if not thousands, of vampires will do anything to become the master of a human gifted with the Visanguis—even giving up a top-tier familiar. And then, it will be up to you to decide with whom to form a new Binding Ritual.»
How...? How can she say all this without the slightest hint of remorse? We’re talking about her own sister, for fuck’s sake! How can she speak so casually and indifferently about the possible death of her own flesh and blood?!
«Even if that day comes, the day I have to choose a new master...» My gaze, serious and determined, locks onto Sasha’s eyes. «...I would never choose you, not for anything in the world!»
«Oh? And may I ask why such reluctance toward me?» she asks, pretending to be curious while holding my gaze.
«I know what you do to poor Dorje—all the torture and humiliation you put him through! You’re a sadistic woman, completely devoid of a heart! I’d rather die than become your toy to satisfy your twisted perversions!» I snap, my voice overflowing with anger, my words escaping without restraint, completely indifferent to the consequences.
«Aren’t you the one who gains strength by having erotic thoughts about Ayra? So much so that it even pushed her to train with you completely naked? It’s ironic that the perverted familiar—the name all noble vampires now call you—is lecturing me on morality!» she retorts, a clear trace of irritation in her voice. «I may be a pervert, but you are just as much of one as I am!»
Her hand slides down my chest, creeping lower until it reaches my... thing, so hard it feels like every drop of blood in my body has rushed there.
Honestly, who could stay unaffected with a woman like Sasha—oozing eroticism and sensuality from every pore—lying on top of me, on her bed, with her ridiculously perfect breasts just inches from my face? No matter how much I despise her, I’m still a teenage boy... cut me some slack!
«In other words.» I take a deep breath, struggling to hold onto a shred of clarity, though it’s slipping away fast under the irresistible, hypnotic charm Sasha exerts over me.
«You’re trying to buy me... with sex? As tempting as your offer might be, I have no intention of selling myself so cheaply. If I ever have to serve a new master, it will be someone with at least a shred of emotion—someone who truly cares about their familiar... someone like Daphne!»
At the mere mention of that name, Sasha bursts into laughter—a loud, unrestrained cackle, her eyes filling with tears of amusement.
«It seems that snake of a sister has executed a far more effective persuasion strategy than mine. It only took her a handful of days, and you’re already at her feet!» she scoffs, shaking her head in disbelief.
But her laughter fades as quickly as it came, her expression twisting into one of pure frustration.
«Yes... at her feet... just like everyone else in Mildelar! That bitch, with her seemingly kind and impeccable manners, has wormed her way into everyone’s good graces! Everyone adores her, even the humans... even that fool Ayra, who clings to her every word as if she were the absolute bearer of truth!»
Without warning, Sasha pushes herself up, lifting her weight off me and swiftly moving to the foot of the bed. She glares at me, her brows furrowed in irritation.
«Only I know what that woman is truly capable of—the unparalleled cruelty she harbors and the torment Kajetan endures every single day. If you knew what I know, you’d think twice before calling me a sadist or a depraved monster so lightly. Because you can’t even begin to grasp the true meaning of those words until you’ve seen what I have seen with my own eyes.»
Turning her back to me, she retraces her steps across the room, picking up the lingerie she had dropped on the floor earlier. Then, she moves toward the emerald-green dress with golden accents—the one I had chosen for her to wear at tonight’s ball—carelessly draped over the sofa.
«Knowing her methods, she must have already told you not to trust me—that I’m a liar, a manipulator, or something along those lines. So I don’t expect you to believe me... in fact, I couldn’t care less.»
Her voice is calm again, devoid of its previous irritation. Then, with a snap of her fingers, the crimson chains binding me to the bed vanish into nothingness.
I sit up, completely overwhelmed by confusion.
Daphne had warned me about Sasha, describing her as a woman skilled in distorting reality with impeccable credibility to get what she wants. It’s obvious that this is just another calculated ploy—to discredit her sister, to make herself seem less wicked than she really is, all so she can claim me as her familiar if Ayra meets an untimely end. It all makes perfect sense.
And yet... what if it isn’t?
What if Daphne is the real manipulator, who preemptively warned me about Sasha—afraid that she might reveal uncomfortable truths—just to stop me from believing her?
But... Kajetan never seemed unhappy or traumatized in the slightest. No, there’s no doubt about it—Sasha is the real manipulator here!
«I’m sending you back to your dormitory—I have no interest in wasting any more time on a gullible fool like you. I thought you were smarter, but clearly, I was mistaken. I’ll be waiting, with great anticipation, for the day when—after becoming Daphne’s familiar and experiencing the truth firsthand—you’ll fall to your knees before me, weeping, cursing yourself for not having believed me... and begging me to convince Daphne to give you to me!»
She doesn’t even give me a chance to respond. In an instant, the world around me twists, and before I know it, I’m back in my room.
