Chapter 59: Chapter 57: Not Natural

In front of the huge, unfinished wall gate of Paradise Garden, a massive crowd of Beastmen, Elves, and Humans stood together. The entire place was decorated with flowers and fabrics, creating a grand and festive atmosphere. Suddenly, a large, glowing white circle appeared on the ground, and from inside, an entire tribe of Orcs emerged along with Lunara and me.

The Orcs were stunned by the sight of the massive crowd. But before they could react, the people erupted into cheers and applause. I stepped forward with a smile and announced

"Everyone... welcome to Paradise Garden... Welcome home."

The Orcs looked at me, then at the cheering crowd. Slowly, smiles spread across their faces as they began following behind me. They were astonished that none of these people were affected by the curse. As we walked, the cheers and shouts of excitement continued.

Among them, Orcon suddenly recalled how other humans had spoken about them before:

("Disgusting! Orcs are scary! You don’t belong here, you monsters!")

Tears welled up in his eyes as he realized these people were different. From behind, Rise placed a comforting hand on Orcon’s shoulder and smiled.

Meanwhile, on the rooftop of the newly built church, Bokkon, Aurthor, and Yooto observed the scene. The church had a flower emblem between its first and second floors, symbolizing hope and renewal.

After a while, we reached an open land surrounded by trees, with its edge connected to the beach. Standing on a hill, we took in the view as the wind blew gently. Turning around, I announced

"The Orcs will live here. This land is all yours."

Their eyes widened in shock. Rise stepped forward and spoke, his voice trembling with emotion.

"It’s... so big... it’s so green..."

I smiled.

"Yes, and you don’t have to worry about the curse. I’ve created a barrier around the entire country, so the curse cannot enter here."

Their expressions turned to sheer disbelief. I walked past them, adding

"The mayor will come to provide food and materials for building houses, so please wait."

But before I could leave, Orcon called out

"Lady Sumi!"

I turned to him and replied

"Yes? Commander?"

He stepped forward, determination in his eyes.

"Is there anything we can do in return? We don’t want to stay here for free... Please, we will do anything."

A smile formed on my face as I replied

"I see... then you can help others build the wall we’re constructing to protect the entire island."

Orcon nodded firmly.

"Yes! We will do our best!"

"Good" I smiled before turning around and continuing forward.

Just then, Aries’ voice echoed in my mind.

[Plan successful.]

I smiled slightly and replied:

(Plan? What’s that?)

Meanwhile, high above the clouds, within the Supreme Court, a quiet room filled with books stood still. Mira sat by the window, holding a brown book in her hands, while Elli rested on her shoulder, asleep. The golden light from the window shone on Mira’s blonde hair, giving her a serene aura.

Suddenly, the door creaked open.

Mira glanced up to see Shiro stepping inside.

"Oh, hey Mira. What are you doing here alone?" Shiro asked softly.

Mira returned her gaze to the book.

"Oh, nothing. Just reading. What about you? Why are you here?"

Shiro walked closer, hands behind his back.

"Oh, I was just walking around and thought I should meet you."

Mira raised an eyebrow.

"Is that so? Since when did you become the type to visit others?"

Shiro smirked, continuing forward. A small, glowing purple slime formed in his hidden hand.

"Sometimes, I also care about my friends, you know."

He closed the distance between them, and just as he raised his hand to attack—

BOOM!

A powerful explosion sent Shiro flying backward, crashing into the wall. A green shield shimmered beside Mira, absorbing the blast. However, she hadn’t even noticed its presence.

Mira gasped at the sudden destruction, her eyes widening as she saw the cracked walls and Shiro collapsed on the floor.

"S-Shiro!!" she shouted in shock.

"Wh-What happened!?" Elli awoke, her small wings fluttering in alarm.

Mira hurriedly set her book aside and rushed to Shiro’s side.

"Hey! Shiro! What happened!?"

Shiro lay motionless, his hand burned from the blast. Slowly, he raised his head—his gaze falling upon Mira’s wrist.

She was wearing the flower bracelet Sumi had given her.

Shiro clenched his teeth.

(Damn you... Why is she wearing that...?)

His vision darkened, and he lost consciousness.

"Elli, call the knights!" Mira ordered.

Elli immediately took flight.

"Yes, Miss Mira!"

As she left, Mira held onto Shiro, confusion clouding her mind.

"W-What just happened...?"

Back in Paradise Garden, inside the newly built church, I sat on a throne crafted from tree branches and flowers. Gearor stood beside me, slightly lower, while Bokkon, Aurthor, Yooto, and Lunara sat at a massive black table made of dark wood.

I spoke softly.

"So, is everything done?"

Bokkon nodded.

"Yes, Lady Sumi. We have successfully saved everyone from Spagon, Atlantada, Franecia, and Kheera. There is no longer any need to worry about the curse."

Aurthor added,

"We’ve also purified the waters of Atlantada and the other kingdoms."

Yooto followed.

"Only a few lives were lost due to the curse, but there have been zero deaths in Paradise Garden."

I smiled.

"Very good. And what about those creatures?"

Gearor answered.

"Our warriors, along with Jekkob, eliminated them all."

I closed my eyes, still smiling.

"It seems most things are taken care of... which means there’s only one thing left."

Everyone exchanged confused glances. Aurthor hesitantly asked,

"What do you mean, Lady Sumi?"

I turned to Lunara.

"Lunara, can you explain?"

Lunara smiled.

"Yes, master."

She stood up, addressing the group.

"As you all know, these creatures were not normal monsters. They could have caused a world-ending threat if Lady Sumi hadn’t created a cure."

Everyone turned serious.

"And while fighting them, I discovered something terrifying. These creatures... are made from multiple monsters."

The room fell silent.

Aurthor’s voice trembled.

"You mean... hybrids...?"

Lunara nodded grimly.

"Yes. They have the body of a slime but the shape of a human. They can use poison, devour others, and have insane regeneration. These things cannot exist naturally..."

Her voice grew heavy.

"They were created by demons."

A chilling silence filled the room.

Lunara closed her eyes.

"And there is a high chance that a Demon Lord is behind all of this."

The weight of her words sank in. I finally spoke.

"And since we are destroying their monsters and saving lives... they will come for us."

Everyone’s expressions stiffened in realization.

Bokkon whispered,

"That means...?"

I nodded.

"Yes. We are going to war with the demons."

A tense silence followed. Then, Gearor broke it with a smile.

"In that case, we must give everything we have... to protect this place... to protect this garden and its flowers."

Bokkon, Aurthor, and Yooto also smiled, nodding in agreement.

Just then, a knock echoed through the church doors.

Everyone turned toward the entrance as it slowly creaked open.

A deep, voice spoke.

"Miss Sumi... Did you call for me?"

The Supreme Gaizon had arrived.
