Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan -
Chapter 1244 - 1091: Star Stone
Chapter 1244: Chapter 1091: Star Stone
The Star God lineage alone wields considerable strength, far surpassing the combined forces of two or three factions within the Immortal Realm.
But that is far from being the entirety of the Divine Path’s power!
For aside from the Star God lineage, there are significant factions such as the Earth God and Water God, whose strength is formidable. Even smaller factions like Wind and Thunder, though weaker, have Individual Immortals of the Immortal Realm overseeing them.
And there exists the mysterious yet immensely powerful Yin God lineage, whose strength rivals—and even surpasses—that of the Star Gods!
Had Li Chengsheng not ascended to become the Sun Star God and learned some hidden truths from the Heavenly Dao, he would have remained unaware of the Yin God lineage’s existence.
"Big brother, what are you thinking about?" Li Chengshuo noticed him lost in thought and asked quietly.
Li Chengsheng shook his head. "I suddenly thought about the various factions of the Divine Path, which caused my momentary distraction."
"I wonder whether, when the era of great contention arrives, there will be conflict between the Immortal Tao and the Divine Path." Li Chengshuo’s words stirred a faint sense of unease in his heart.
Though the siblings had become Star Gods and were now part of the Divine Path, they were not people entirely without family or ties. Deep in their hearts, they remained attached to their parents and their clan.
Just as Li Chengsheng was about to speak, a fellow Star God walked over, greeted them, and said, "I am Taisui Jupiter Cang Rong. I greet you both."
"Taiyin Changxi, Sun Brightness Minglang," the two rose and returned the courtesy.
These were the divine names granted to them by the Heavenly Dao. From now on, when interacting with other Divine beings, they would use these names instead of their real names.
This practice was meant to protect their family, for the complexities within the Star God faction made it possible that someone might try to threaten them by targeting the Li family.
"I heard that you two Honorable Gods have spent the past century harmonizing Yin and Yang with great contributions to the heavens and earth. I deeply admire you and ventured to pay my respects; I hope you can forgive my abrupt visit," Cang Rong said with a look of apology.
Li Chengsheng and Li Chengshuo exchanged glances, speculating on this person’s intent.
Seeking allegiance? That seemed unlikely.
Taisui Jupiter, after all, was one of the principal stars. Though not as distinguished as the Sun or Taiyin, his cultivation was profound, unlike the siblings, who had only reached the level of Individual Immortal relying on their divine titles.
Unable to discern the other’s purpose, they stopped guessing altogether and conversed with Cang Rong in a deliberately bland and slightly distant manner.
Fortunately, it wasn’t long before, perhaps finding the encounter tedious, Cang Rong bid them farewell and left.
The celestial banquet continued in lively revelry, with spirits high and celebrations grand. Yet the area around Li Chengsheng and Li Chengshuo remained notably subdued.
It wasn’t that no Star Gods tried to approach them, either to curry favor or build rapport, but their cold demeanor drove them away awkwardly. Over time, no one made the effort anymore.
As the banquet ended and the siblings prepared to leave, Ziwei suddenly appeared before them and said, "It is my first meeting with you Honorable Gods, yet our discussion was delightful. I hastily prepared a small gift and hope you will not refuse."
Although they did not wish to accept, Ziwei forcibly placed the gifts in their arms, leaving them no chance to return them, and turned to depart.
"If that’s the case, then my sibling and I will accept with thickened skins."
Li Chengsheng could not possibly throw the gifts onto the ground; doing so would be tantamount to slapping Ziwei’s Beidou Star System in the face, creating enmity between them.
Other Star Gods witnessing the scene were filled with curiosity—both about what Ziwei had gifted and why he had presented it.
However, Li Chengsheng and Li Chengshuo swiftly flew away, allowing no one an opportunity to inquire further.
Accelerating, the siblings arrived together at the Sun Star to examine the gifts Ziwei had presented them.
"This is..."
Li Chengshuo stared at the gemstone in the Jade Box, which radiated multicolored Spirit Light and seemed to contain countless Dao Rhymes, and exclaimed in surprise, "Big brother, this gift is far too valuable!"
Li Chengsheng lowered his gaze to the identical gemstone in his hand and sighed. "Indeed, two extraordinarily precious Enlightenment Star Stones—he simply gave them away."
These gems were unparalleled treasures, born under extremely stringent conditions amidst the vast cosmos.
Their very name suggested their purpose: these stones could assist in enlightenment.
In the past, within the Primal Spirit Realm, millennia would pass without a single stone being found. Yet Ziwei had freely given away not one, but two.
"It seems we now owe him a favor," Li Chengsheng sighed again.
Li Chengshuo, however, scoffed and said, "He forced these gifts upon us—how does that constitute a favor? Big brother, you need not overthink."
Li Chengsheng shook his head silently at her words but, after some thought, said, "I plan to send my Enlightenment Star Stone back to the family, so Father may achieve immortality sooner."
"You should send mine instead. Big brother, it’d be better for you to keep yours and swiftly consolidate your realm."
As Li Chengsheng was about to object, Li Chengshuo interrupted, "I cannot make further progress in the short term. Such a treasure in my hands would be wasted. It’s better to use it wisely."
Her words were merely an attempt to comfort Li Chengsheng; her realm had long stabilized, and there was no way she couldn’t advance.
"Then I must trouble you, Shuo."
Despite his repeated attempts at refusal, Li Chengshuo did not relent, leaving Li Chengsheng no choice but to agree reluctantly.
"But how should we deliver the Enlightenment Star Stone back to the family?"
It wasn’t that they couldn’t leave the stars to return to Mount Wanxian; they were concerned that their movements might draw attention and bring harm to their family.
"Big brother, rest assured. When night falls, I will leave the stars without a trace—I promise no one will notice." Li Chengshuo spoke with confidence.
The Sun and Taiyin illuminated the world, and they were capable of hiding within the radiance of day and night. However, compared to the Sun, the Moonlight was far more discreet.
Moreover, there was a difference in their levels of cultivation, so Li Chengsheng no longer argued.
