Chapter 84: Back At The Factory
Chapter 84: Back At The Factory
Adrian continued setting up before replying. "I told you already, ask Master Von tomorrow. I’m safe, but you might not be. So it’s better to be cautious."
Karl hmphed, clearly skeptical, but didn’t argue. Adrian finished arranging the array, its runes glowing faintly.
"Besides," he added, glancing at Karl, "try not to tell Von I’m still using this."
Karl nodded grudgingly, and Adrian activated the formation, the air being filled with mana around him.

After cultivating for almost an hour, Adrian noticed something unsettling with his cultivation. He just didn’t fell like he was drawing mana in. So with a frown, he decided to pause and take a look at his status
[Mana: 0.00%]
Adrian’s eyes narrowed in annoyance. ’Zero percent?’
He’d been cultivating for an hour, yet his mana hadn’t budged. ’I’ve just been wasting time,’ he thought. ’Is this the Tech Core keeping my dantian safe?’
Before he could ask, the system responded unprompted.
[Affirmative: Dantian stability prioritized. Current dantian condition is insufficient for mana accumulation.]
Adrian sighed. The Tech Core’s caution was logical, especially as he remembered Master Von’s warning om dantian cracks, but it still didn’t make the setback sting any less.
’Fine,’ he thought, packing up the array into his bag, as his [Inventory].
’I’ll try again tomorrow.’
His mind shifted to the [System Factory]. With Archery Class being tomorrow and his mana gun adjustment still unfinished, plus the heater needing tweaks, he had plenty to work on.
But exhaustion still wore on him as his body was still sore from Body Combat.
’If only I could make a stamina pill,’ he grumbled internally, but rest was non-negotiable.
’Wake me at 8:00 PM for dinner.’ Adrian instructed the Tech Core before sliding under the sheets and going to sleep.

"and after the Academy, I’m joining the military, man. Imagine me leading a squad with my spear and taking down beasts in the frontier! My dad says the Royal Legion’s the best path for Knights like us."
His felt so talkative since they had visited the cafeteria, but Adrian’s mind was on how he’ll complete his tasks as they walked.
"Cool," Adrian said absently, heading for his bed. "I’ll be getting some sleep now."
Karl groaned and flopped onto his own bed. "You’re always sleeping, dude. Every chance you get, it’s nap time!"
"Yeah." Adrian shrugged, pulling the sheets over himself.
He closed his eyes, but his mind was already elsewhere.
’System Factory,’ he commanded silently. The room dissolved, replaced by vibrant grasslands under a colorful sky.
[Welcome to your System Factory]
Access Time Remaining: [02:59:55]
A second notification followed, and Adrian’s lips curved into a smile.
[Your products have been widely utilized!]
[You’ve gained 500 EXP | 500 TP!]
He summoned his stats to confirm.
[TECHCORE SYSTEM – STATUS PANEL]
Knight: ★ ★
Mana: 0.00%
Name: Adrian | Age: 10
System Level: 10 | EXP: 8800 / 35120 | TP: 6100
[Stats: Speed - 22 (11) | Strength - 24 (12) | Constitution - 12 (6)]
[Inventions Created: 34]
’Nice,’ he thought. The 6100 TP was more than enough for an upgrade, and he hadn’t noticed the accumulation sooner. Curious, he pulled up his options.
[System Factory Upgrade Options]
>> Extend Access Time (3 hours → 4 hours)
[Cost: 20,000 TP]
>> Dual Production Line
[Cost: 5000 TP]
>> Workshop Upgrade
[Cost: 5000 TP]
Adrian dismissed the time extension immediately. ’20,000 TP is way too steep,’ he thought. ’I’d rather save for the full Factory upgrade.’
The choice between Dual Production Line and Workshop Upgrade wasn’t a difficult one. There was only one that was useful for him at this moment.
"Purchase Dual Production Line," he said aloud.
[Upgrading System Factory: Production Line Extension]
[Deducting 5000 TP...]
The System pinged, and a moment later:
[Upgrade Completed! System Factory now supports 2 simultaneous production lines.]
Adrian checked his stats, noting the TP drop to 1100. ’Worth it,’ he thought, already envisioning how everything would move faster.
A quick glance at the upgrade options revealed Triple Production Line at 20,000 TP; another unreachable goal for now.
’Once I get the Workshop Upgrade, I’m saving for the Factory overhaul,’ he resolved. The full upgrade, rumored to unlock advanced features, was his long-term target.
Adrian stepped through the doors of the [System Factory] with everything completed, heading straight for the Assembly room.
The metal arms whirred along the original production line, crafting Magic Heaters with precision.
To its right, the new second line stood ready, its arms idle but poised.
Adrian’s face lit up with a smile as he approached, the sight of the upgrade fueling his drive.
’Perfect,’ he thought as his mind began racing with plans. He hadn’t started on the grenades yet, and even though they weren’t urgently needed by him, it wasn’t a bad idea to have some of them available.
He moved to the console, its interface glowing with holographic controls. With a few mental commands, he uploaded the grenade’s blueprint.
After which he set the line to produce 20 units, then programmed it to switch to Magic Coolers after the quota was reached.
The console processed his inputs, and a notification flashed across his vision.
[Total time for 20 units: 10 hours.]
Adrian nodded in satisfaction. ’Complexity drives the time,’ he noted, grateful the system scaled production logically.
He approved for the production to begin, before checking out the first line’s progress.
75 Magic Heaters were completed, exactly as he had expected. He gave the console a final glance before heading to the Workshop.
The Workshop’s table stood at the room’s center, its surface pristine under the Factory’s glow.
Adrian summoned the Mana Gun with a mental command, and it materialized in a shimmer of light.
He held it to feel its weight before retrieving a bunch of tools, some crafted by him, others which he found in the workshop.
Adrian set the tools beside the Mana Gun and he began visualizing his plan.
The goal was to modify it for Archery Class, adding a training mode that fired non-lethal bursts of mana light.
These wouldn’t be standard laser-like beams traveling in straight lines. Instead, they’d project a soft, luminescent patch that adhered to any surface on impact, glowing briefly to mark targets.
It was perfect for practicing accuracy without risking damage as he the patches would fade harmlessly after a few seconds.
With the concept clear, Adrian began dismantling the gun’s casing.
