Chapter 1587: Chapter 1581: So Fast_1 Chapter 1587: Chapter 1581: So Fast_1 “Do you hope it’s your sister-in-law?” Liang Shaohui looked at Gong Wuyou with puzzlement. If Qin Xue had been the one injured, Chu Molin would have become Lord Yama by now, he wouldn’t have the leisure to be here.
“I don’t hope so.” Gong Wuyou shook his head quickly. He’d rather kill himself than face Chu Molin. He was no match for him and could see no outcome other than being tortured.
“Alright then, it’s someone else. I won’t keep you company anymore, I need to rest. You should rest too.” Liang Shaohui had no interest in engaging in a war of words with Gong Wuyou.
“Mr. Liang, can’t you tell me who it is?” Gong Wuyou felt increasingly uneasy.
“It’s not that I don’t want to tell you, I simply don’t know who she is. How can I tell you without knowing?” Liang Shaohui was speechless; he hadn’t even seen the girl’s face.
“Why?” Gong Wuyou was confused. Shouldn’t he have met her? He could just ask who she was.
“The girl had a veil on her face. We couldn’t see what she looked like. And she wasn’t the only one dressed like that, so we couldn’t ask, even if we wanted to.” The truth was, they didn’t ask because Chu Molin had told them not to pry.
Gong Wuyou asked him, but he couldn’t tell one from the other.
“Alright then, I’ll go find out myself when I can. I’ll apologize to her. That should be okay, right?” Gong Wuyou couldn’t get out of bed at the moment. Speaking for just a short while had exhausted him. He would wait until he got better.
“Of course, you’re definitely obliged to apologize. You messed up, so it’s only right that you make amends.” Liang Shaohui had no qualms about this.
“Here he comes.” Thunder was the first to react.
“Why did you come? Can’t you rest in bed?” Qin Xue looked at him, irritated. Why didn’t he take care of himself after getting injured?
He hadn’t rested for long in the morning because of Qing Teng. Now that Qing Teng was gone, why didn’t he rest? Was he not concerned about his health at all?
“Xue’er, Gong Wuyou has woken up.” Chu Molin came to the room where he’d been that morning and saw that Qin Xue and others were eating. They’d prioritized serving food to them before themselves. He’d neglected that.
“So soon? Wasn’t he supposed to wake up tomorrow morning? Is his body that strong, or is my medicine too weak?” Qin Xue was shocked; he’d woken up ten hours earlier than she’d expected.
“I don’t know what’s going on with him. He seemed fine when he woke up. After you finish eating, could you go check on him?” Chu Molin conveyed his intention.
“Understood. Have you eaten enough, or do you want more?” Qin Xue asked Chu Molin. She didn’t know whether he’d eaten enough, as Nanny had cleared the dishes.
“No need, I’m full. I just came to tell you about this, take your time eating. There’s no rush with him.” Chu Molin hadn’t known they were still eating, otherwise he would have delayed his visit.
“Alright, I got it. Sit down for a moment, I’ll go check on him with you in a bit.” Qin Xue believed that it wouldn’t take much time, so they could wait.
Qin Xue really hadn’t expected this. She’d never been off on her estimates before, but Gong Wuyou turned out to be an exception. Either he was very resilient, or he had some antibody in his body that had inhibited her medication’s efficacy.
