Chapter 1436: Chapter 1430: Knowing the Truth _1 Chapter 1436: Chapter 1430: Knowing the Truth _1 “Brother Jing, what you say I’ve heard, what should I have heard? Or what did you say? Are you talking about tears? Did I cry?” Jing Yuan was still reluctant to admit what she had heard, some things can be left unsaid after knowing, isn’t that so?
“Then… you see this.” Jing Peng looked at her denying the tears and sighed, showing her the tear stains on his hand.
“I might have just had a dream,” Jing Yuan reached out to touch her own face, then whispered.
“What kind of dream? Will you tell me about it?” Jing Peng felt relieved when he heard Jing Yuan say this. It was good that she hadn’t heard anything, that way she wouldn’t be so upset.
“I dreamt of a child calling me mom, said she was leaving. I was so heartbroken seeing her like this. Brother Jing, the child in my stomach is alright, isn’t it?” Jing Yuan hardly could tell if she was feeling sad or happy now.
She had wanted to abort the baby initially, but now that she couldn’t, she didn’t feel happy or relieved, but in fact, she felt distressed. She wouldn’t be able to bear a child anymore, which meant, this child would never be hers again. However, she couldn’t let Jing Peng know about this.
“Yuanyuan, we’ll have other children in the future. For now, take care of yourself first. How about I give you another child later?” When Jing Peng heard what Jing Yuan said, he also felt upset. This child, whom he didn’t even know about, had left them.
“Brother Jing, she left without even getting a chance to see the world. It’s my fault. If I had been more careful, this wouldn’t have happened,” Jing Yuan, despite being prepared in mind about her miscarriage, still felt like crying when she heard Jing Peng’s confirmation.
“Yuanyuan, it was an accident, nobody would wish for this. Now, you rest and take care of yourself first, okay? We’ll talk about the future later,” Jing Peng said in the most tender voice he ever could muster. He was coaxing Jing Yuan, only hoping that she wouldn’t blame herself too much.
“Brother Jing, I understand. I want to sleep some more.” Jing Yuan didn’t know how to face Jing Peng, she also couldn’t tell what kind of feelings she had for him. Especially looking at his earnest, yet fatigued face with a stubble, she didn’t know what to do, so she chose to evade.
“Okay, you sleep. Let me know if you need anything,” Jing Peng refrained from saying anything and acknowledged how he felt about her only when he saw her lying in the pool of blood.
He realized that his feelings for her were more than just using, he truly loved her. He feared losing her, being alone in this world, and so he cringed. He didn’t want Jing Yuan to leave him. Now that he saw Jing Yuan awake and everything seemed fine, he finally let his guard down.
Once Jing Yuan fell asleep, he went to the bathroom to tidy himself up, guessing that his appearance must have startled her.
As Jing Peng looked at himself in the mirror, even he was taken aback, no wonder Jing Yuan had such a reaction.
Jing Peng touched his face, wondering when he had become so haggard and unkempt before. He had truly fallen, fallen for this woman named Jing Yuan.
Jing Peng took out the clothes and razor his mother had brought and started to tidy himself up. Once he was done, the handsome man reappeared, only that his usually gloomy face was less obvious now.
