“Don’t worry, doctor. I will treat her well.” Li Zhao was surprised by the doctor’s remark.

“Alright, take good care of your wife. If you need anything, ask the nurse outside or call me from my office.” After settling in An Hao, the doctor instructed Li Zhao before leaving.

“Mom, Dad, I’ll manage alone here. You should go back and rest. It has been a long day. Come back when An’an wakes up tomorrow.” Li Zhao was concerned about his in-laws who had been at the hospital since morning and were merely getting food from outside. Even though they didn’t mind, it was getting tough for his pregnant mother-in-law.

“Alright, we’ll leave then. We will come to see An’an tomorrow. We will bring you breakfast, so tell your mother not to prepare food for you, alright?” Xiao Xiang’er was quite exhausted, so she didn’t object when her son-in-law suggested they leave. As her daughter was now settled, their presence wouldn’t contribute much.

“Alright, I’ll let her know when she arrives.” Li Zhao understood that they wanted An Hao to eat food they had prepared themselves, so he readily agreed to his mother-in-law’s suggestion.

“By the way, these are for An’an and the baby. They have been washed and are ready to use. You can set them aside.” Xiao Xiang’er suddenly remembered the bag she had put aside earlier and had forgotten to tell them about it.

Unlike many other fathers at first sight of their newborn, Li Zhao thought his wrinkly red daughter was gorgeous. Perhaps it was because she was a girl.

Chen Lei brought over the chicken soup she had stewed. As An Hao was still asleep, she placed the soup on the table and looked at her son.

“Alright, I understand. You eat your food quickly, if the baby wakes up or An’an wakes, you won’t be able to eat and the food will cool down.” Chen Lei encouraged him to eat quickly.

“Okay, Mom, you go back and rest. I can take care of An’an here.” Li Zhao didn’t want his mother to tire herself out, everyone needed to rest after such an exhausting day.
