Chapter 93: Jade Moon Pavilion Massacre – Who Gets the Bed Tonight?!
The crowd roared as the final verdict came crashing down like a thunderbolt from the heavens.
"By unanimous decision," Grand Elder Mo Tian bellowed, "the winners of the Dual Cultivation Compatibility Tournament are..."
drumroll
"...Wang Li and Bai Mei!"
Before Wang Li could even breathe, Bai Mei stepped forward, lips curled in an exquisite smile. "Of course we won. You think anyone could out-seduce me?"
A gasp rippled through the crowd, followed by a chorus of sighs and heartbreak from love-struck junior disciples.
Second place: Lin Ruoyan and Wang Li.
Third place: Mu Qingling and Wang Li.
Special Discretionary Entry: Feng Yuling and Wang Li.
And a Very Special Chaos Award: Little Fox and Wang Li.
Wang Li felt cold sweat drip down his back. He leaned toward Grand Elder Mo Tian, whispering through clenched teeth.
"Isn’t this supposed to be one pair per winner?!"
The elder rubbed his beard thoughtfully. "Ah, but the Pavilion has one very large bed..."
"...You’re evil."
"Blame fate," the elder said serenely.
The Jade Moon Pavilion stood atop a floating peak bathed in moonlight, with spirit springs bubbling beneath crystal windows and clouds drifting lazily through open courtyards.
Inside the lavish master chamber, a massive silken bed the size of a small lake took center stage.
Wang Li stood stiff as a sword, already regretting every life choice.
To his left, Bai Mei lounged on the bed wearing robes so thin they could be mistaken for mist. "Come here, winner."
To his right, Lin Ruoyan crossed her arms under her chest. "I came in second. I deserve equal time."
Behind him, Mu Qingling unsheathed her sword and pointed it at Bai Mei. "He’s sleeping beside me."
Feng Yuling leaned against the window, expression cold. "I freeze the whole room unless I’m included."
Then came the flutter of nine tails and a familiar sing-song voice.
"Yay! I brought snacks~"
Little Fox skipped in wearing a pink nightgown with an embroidered ’Wang ’. "I’m staying too!"
Wang Li slowly turned in a circle. "No. No no no no no."
"Yes," Bai Mei said. "Strip."
"Absolutely not!"
"I’m your senior sister," she purred.
"Don’t care!"
"Fine," Lin Ruoyan said, removing her outer robe and revealing sleek battle lingerie underneath. "Then I’ll start."
"WHAT?!"
Thirty Minutes Later
The girls had each claimed one quadrant of the bed.
Bai Mei occupied the west, reading a book while sipping wine.
Lin Ruoyan practiced fire circulation in the east, radiating soft warmth.
Mu Qingling meditated upside-down from the ceiling beam.
Feng Yuling had frozen half the windows and was now sipping tea like a queen.
Little Fox had tucked herself under the blankets and fallen asleep on Wang Li’s arm.
Wang Li? He was sitting on the floor in the lotus position, trembling.
"Focus," he whispered to himself. "Focus. Cultivate. Pretend you’re a monk. Pretend you’re a—"
Tail slap.
Little Fox’s tail brushed against his face.
"Wang Li~ are you meditating? You’re not fun," she pouted, pulling on his sleeve.
Bai Mei chuckled from the bed. "You’re resisting like a man on death row."
"Because I am!!"
The spirit moon outside glowed violet.
A sudden spiritual surge rippled through the Pavilion.
BOOM!
A hidden formation activated.
Lights flared. Incense ignited. Curtains dropped.
An ancient voice echoed through the room.
> "The Jade Moon Pavilion recognizes high compatibility. You are now locked in for one full night of dual cultivation."
> "Anyone who does not pair off within the next hour will suffer backlash from accumulated qi deviation."
Wang Li’s face paled.
"Wh-What kind of sick sect trap is this?!"
Bai Mei’s eyes narrowed with a dangerous glint. "Looks like someone has to choose."
Lin Ruoyan smirked. "You can’t possibly satisfy all five of us."
Mu Qingling stood, robe slipping just enough to reveal snow-white shoulders. "Try me."
Feng Yuling cracked her knuckles. "I vote we each get a turn."
Little Fox snuggled tighter. "He’s already mine~"
He backed against the wall like a cornered animal.
"You’re all crazy. You know that, right? I’m a cultivator! A man of—AH!"
Bai Mei teleported directly in front of him, pinning him with her eyes.
"Don’t worry," she whispered. "You’ll enjoy every second."
Lin Ruoyan came from the other side. "Your qi will soar."
Mu Qingling joined with a blade at his collarbone. "Just try to survive."
Feng Yuling placed her icy hand on his chest. "I’ll freeze the others until I’m done."
Little Fox leapt into his lap. "So many angry sisters... hehe. Lucky me!"
That night, the Jade Moon Pavilion glowed brighter than the moon.
Spiritual qi overflowed.
The sect shook.
Birds flew away.
Mountains trembled.
No one slept.
Not even the Grand Elder, who sipped his tea and stared out into the horizon, muttering:
"...And they say my generation was wild."
