Elder Li San’s household was savoring the fine dishes delivered from Huai Xian Building, when suddenly, the gate of the Li Mansion was knocked upon.

However, after hearing the second part, his face lit up with joy: "There’s meat? Then come in, quickly!"

The servant pulled the burly fellow into the Li Mansion, eager to lift the cover of the basket. Seeing indeed two pots of meat inside, he immediately carried one away, grabbing chunks of meat to eat and laughing: "Elder San treats us servants really well, much better than Old Master and Elder Si."

Old Master Li and Elder Li Si would only enjoy themselves, never caring for their servants. It would be better if Elder Li San took charge of the Li Family.

The servant set his sights on the two pots of meat in the basket. With many servants in Li Mansion, there certainly wouldn’t be enough meat to go around. He had to hide some away before calling Steward Li to distribute the food.

"Thanks, little brother. You all eat up, and we’ll come back for the basket after you’re done," said the skinny lad, following the burly fellow toward the back courtyard of the Li Mansion.

It took them a short while, but they eventually reached the main courtyard, and said to the Protector guarding the gate, "Gentlemen, we are from Xu’s Restaurant in the Prefecture, and Elder Li San has ordered some food to be delivered to Old Master Li."

With that, they handed over two packets of meat hanging on the food containers to the two Protectors: "These are for you gentlemen, Elder San said thank you for your hard work."

She wasn’t lying; Elder Li San indeed sent someone to order food from Xu’s Restaurant, but the issue was Xu’s Restaurant didn’t deliver. They were impersonating Li Family servants to fetch the food.

Of course, there was something added to these dishes.

The Li Family was in total chaos that day, and now that it was already dark, the two Protectors were starving and in no position to interrogate them. As they passed through a deserted alley, they threw away the towels over their shoulders and turned their clothes inside out. After turning them inside out, the clothes looked very much like those worn by servants of the Li Family.

The two hurriedly walked to Xu’s Restaurant and returned the basket along with the food boxes and plates to them.
