Chapter 605: Chapter 603 You’re Fired
Liu Shanshan lifted her chin, "So what if I did?"
Huo Sining nodded, "Nothing much, I just wanted to tell you that we caused this trouble today, and we absolutely won’t leave or involve others, so now you can shut up!"
Although Huo Sining’s words were said gently, they sounded exceptionally harsh in Liu Shanshan’s ears. She felt like a pricked balloon and immediately exploded.
"You bumpkins come to our store, create a ruckus, hit someone and think you can just leave, and you dare tell me to shut up?!"
Liu Shanshan jumped up and screamed, "Tell me to shut up? Who the hell do you think you are?!"
"It’s not just about telling you to shut up; she could even tell you to get lost if she wanted to!"
Just then, a deep male voice suddenly came from outside the door; the next second, Wu Jun and Li Quan appeared at the shop entrance. Amidst the surprised stares of everyone, Wu Jun walked into the store with a sullen face and quickly approached Huo Sining.
Following closely behind Wu Jun and Li Quan, Jiang Xiaoqin squeezed out from behind them and rushed toward Huo Sining:
"Sister Huo! I’ve missed you so much! Look, this store was decorated by Brother Wu, Brother Li, and me. What do you think, isn’t it beautiful?"
Huo Sining nodded and smiled, "Beautiful."
It was then Wu Jun smiled and asked, "Miss Huo, how long have you been here?"
Huo Sining checked the time and replied, "Not too long, I just arrived."
As Huo Sining spoke, she couldn’t help but glance at Li Quan beside her, who respectfully called out, "Boss!"
The employees, who were already puzzled by Wu Jun’s appearance and greeting to Huo Sining, became completely baffled. But when they heard Li Quan address Huo Sining as the boss, a sob broke out in the silent store hall.
The employees’ eyes widened as they looked at the young girl with a youthful face who didn’t look a day over twenty. None of them had imagined that the girl who just defended Lin Wenwan was their store owner!
"She’s the boss?" Liu Shanshan’s face turned green. She stared at Huo Sining, utterly disbelieving that this immature brat could be their boss!
Having just forcibly stopped Huo Sining and her companions from leaving, Liu Shanshan was now aware that Huo Sining was their boss. At this moment, everyone’s gaze turned toward Liu Shanshan, each filled with a subtle nuance!
Liu Shanshan felt an invisible slap hitting her face repeatedly, and if there had been a hole in the ground, she would have jumped in without hesitation.
On the other hand, Lin Wenwan was also in shock, her eyes wide open. She never expected Huo Sining to be the owner of their new store, an outcome that was much too surprising for her.
Liu Shanshan directed a venomous glare at Lin Wenwan.
Playing innocent, huh? If you didn’t know this woman was the boss, would you have been so welcoming the moment she stepped in the door?
Liu Shanshan believed Lin Wenwan did it on purpose. This woman must have felt she couldn’t beat her in the performance evaluation and, therefore, deliberately set her up to offend the boss so she could be squeezed out and take advantage of the opportunity to climb up.
However, Huo Sining didn’t care what Liu Shanshan thought. She smiled at Liu Shanshan and said, "Don’t call me your boss, I’m not your boss, because you’ve been fired!"
"Fired me? On what grounds?!"
Upon hearing this, Liu Shanshan immediately flew into a rage, her complexion turning bright red as she said frantically, "I was doing it for the company’s benefit. When people fight in the store, it’s irresponsible not to take action. Should we just let them leave without doing anything?"
Whether Liu Shanshan was acting for the company’s benefit or her own, only she would truly know.
Huo Sining was not stupid. Liu Shanshan’s previous actions probably had only two purposes: one was fear that Zhao Mingcheng coming over would cause them trouble, and the other was to isolate Lin Wenwan, making it impossible for her to continue working in this store.
But as a boss, Huo Sining really didn’t need to explain herself to this kind of person. She couldn’t be bothered to deal with Liu Shanshan any longer and said indifferently, "You ask on what grounds? Simply because I find you displeasing. Is that reason enough?"
Without waiting for Liu Shanshan to react, Huo Sining turned her head back to the other employees and said:
"You are employees of the store, with the company backing you up. Besides upholding professional conduct, you should also stand up straight and not fear the powerful. Customers are indeed kings, but in situations like today that could harm the interests of the company’s staff, you can’t just coldly observe and do nothing. We are ordinary people, yes, but ordinary people have their limits."
"Of course, please rest assured, whether it’s now or in the future, as long as you are employees in our store, the company will ensure your personal safety!"
"Hmph, easier said than done! Having offended that Mr. Zhao, I’d like to see how you manage to open on Saturday!"
Having been fired by Huo Sining, Liu Shanshan naturally no longer needed to handle Huo Sining with care. Hearing Huo Sining’s words, she sneered with schadenfreude in her eyes, and her words were even more malicious.
Upon hearing this, Wu Jun’s expression darkened, and a chill seemed to radiate from him in an instant as he stared at Liu Shanshan with eyes cold as a wolf’s, startling her so badly that she shivered and dared not speak further. She took her belongings and slunk away.
Lin Wenwan, however, was somewhat restrained and flustered. She was just an ordinary senior student who had finally found an internship opportunity in such a store, and she treated every customer as if they were family.
But she could never have imagined that Huo Sining would turn out to be the owner of their store. Before the store had even opened, she had managed to get herself into trouble with someone like Zhao Mingcheng in front of the boss.
Lin Shanshan worried to herself that, since Zhao Mingcheng had threatened not to let Huo Sining off when he left, he might retaliate when settling accounts in the autumn, possibly sending people to disrupt the store’s business.
This made Lin Wenwan feel uneasy, afraid that Huo Sining might fire her just like she did Liu Shanshan, and concerned that the store’s operations might be jeopardized because of her.
Perhaps sensing Lin Wenwan’s worry, Huo Sining smiled and comforted Lin Wenwan, "Don’t worry. Go to the back and wash your face, change your clothes. I’ll handle the rest. Trust me, that Mr. Zhao won’t be able to do anything to me."
Lin Wenwan’s heart was initially uneasy. But upon hearing Huo Sining’s words and seeing her calm and confident expression, for some reason, she suddenly felt her worries were unnecessary. She nodded and stopped dwelling on it, turning to walk towards the changing room in the back.
While Huo Sining was still considering whom to seek help from to resolve the matter, a dozen police officers had already driven up to the door, bursting into the shop with a clamor.
As Li Quan was preparing to step forward to inquire, one of the officers directly charged at him, pulled out a pair of handcuffs, and with a clink, fastened them around Li Quan’s wrists.
