Chapter 700: Chapter 700: Has the Second Young Master Gone Crazy from Heartbreak?
Abigail was initially a bit scared too. But looking at the dog, which looked fierce but had a gentle and even somewhat goofy nature, she soon relaxed, then found herself entangled with it.
They walked all the way, and the big dog followed them all the way. So as soon as Abigail got home, she received a call from the property management asking her to get a dog license and put a leash on the dog when taking it out.
Abigail looked at the German Shepherd squatting obediently at the villa door after they entered. For a moment, she was puzzled. Did this dog mistake them for someone else?
Wasn’t the German Shepherd supposed to be the smartest dog? How could it not recognize its home and owner, clinging to someone just for a piece of meat?
Abigail tried to explain to the property management, but a few minutes later, the property staff arrived, first checking the German Shepherd and confirming it wasn’t a police dog. They stated the dog appeared after Abigail moved into the villa. If it really wasn’t her dog, it would have to be sent to a shelter with a notice posted to find its owner.
After hearing the property staff, Abigail was about to nod when the silver-black German Shepherd suddenly whimpered at the mention of the shelter, then walked to her side and rubbed its head sadly against her leg, as if begging her not to send it to the shelter.
Not only was Abigail stunned, but so was Aunt Claudia. Teddy, seeing such a burly and handsome fellow for the first time, wasn’t scared at all. Instead, he stretched out his little hand wanting to play with the dog.
Seeing this, the property staff immediately pulled a long face. One staff member, who looked particularly like Abigail’s high school dean, began to scold, "Since you have a dog, you must take responsibility for it. A dog is a life too, very spiritual. You can’t just abandon it because you feel like it; that’s highly unethical."
Abigail was left speechless, "Well, I..."
"Woo woo..." Abigail was just about to explain that she wasn’t the dog’s owner and had no intention of abandoning it, but the dog lying by her leg whimpered again, looking up at her with its big, tear-filled eyes, ears perked up, their backs black but the inner fur silver. Despite being strong and formidable, it wasn’t fierce at all, just adorably goofy.
The ’dean,’ "What ’you’? Alright, take good care of it. Get the necessary license quickly. If you really can’t keep it later, find it a good owner."
The word ’owner’ was emphasized heavily.
Abigail, "..."
After the property staff left, Abigail and Aunt Claudia stood in the yard, looking at each other in bewilderment. How did this dog become hers?
Looking down at the dog clinging to her, Abigail facepalmed. Just by the dog’s clinginess, even she couldn’t believe it wasn’t hers.
Bang!
At this moment, Teddy’s bottle suddenly fell from his hand. Aunt Claudia was about to pick it up when the German Shepherd lying by Abigail’s leg suddenly rushed over. For a moment, both Abigail and Aunt Claudia cried out in fright, but they saw the formidable dog pick up the bottle and hand it to Teddy.
Little Teddy, not scared at all, took the bottle from the dog’s mouth and poked the big guy’s ears. Then, as if discovering something incredible, he started poking the dog’s ears repeatedly, laughing gleefully after each poke.
Abigail and Aunt Claudia, standing aside, "..."
So, what was going on?
This dog must have become a spirit!
Meanwhile, a man sitting in a car not far away watched the situation in the yard clearly through the micro surveillance device Threo installed. He suddenly looked at Pullan, "If you all were like Threo, I would have fewer worries."
Pullan, "..." Was the Second Young Master insulting him by saying he wasn’t even as good as a dog?
Pullan, sitting in the driver’s seat, tried hard to maintain a smile, "Second Young Master, it’s time to go."
"Hmm." Brandon Piers said no more, turning his head to look in Abigail’s direction, and let out a stuffy "hmm."
Pullan mercilessly stomped on the gas pedal, driving the car quickly out of Rose Valley.
Meanwhile, completely unaware, Abigail was so inexplicably clung to by a dog. She had planned to settle her home in the afternoon and then go to school but ended up mysteriously getting a dog license, vaccinating the dog, buying dog leashes, dog bowls, dog food...
Even more frustrating was that when choosing dog food, this clingy dog picked the most expensive one. She skeptically put other dog food in the bowl for it to try. In response, it lifted a paw and knocked the bowl aside, then looked at her pitifully, continuing to use one paw to point at the words "Golden Dog Food."
Abigail, "..."
She thought she had picked up a little lord. For some reason, Abigail thought of Brandon Piers.
Then she restrained herself, gave the dog a forced smile, and finally pointed at the golden dog food to the pet shop employee, "Just this one."
"Your dog is so smart. What’s its name?" The shop attendant asked with a smile.
Abigail just then remembered she didn’t know the dog’s name. She squatted down and looked at the black-gold tag on the German Shepherd’s neck. It only had a "3" on it. Could it be named Three?
Abigail immediately dismissed the thought, but a moment flashed through her mind when she thought of Brandon Piers upon seeing the dog earlier. After thinking for a moment, she said, "Let’s call it Doggy Piers."
The shop attendant, "Doggy Piers? Haha, such a unique name."
Abigail also laughed dryly, "Yeah."
Who would have thought Threo, upon hearing the "Piers" part, thought it was being called and happily barked, "Woof woof woof."
Abigail, "..." Enjoyed it this much?
So Abigail, on the second day after moving out of Moon Lake Manor, inexplicably ended up with a mighty dog.
Not sure if it was just psychological, but seeing the strong "Doggy Piers" curled up at the villa’s door, Abigail felt an inexplicable sense of security.
But she wasn’t the happiest; the happiest was Teddy.
Teddy was one hundred percent satisfied with this new companion. He spent the entire afternoon chasing the German Shepherd around, and this large fierce dog was bullied by the little child all over the villa, occasionally having to look back and help his little master.
Then Abigail and Aunt Claudia found they were freed, no longer running around breathlessly with the little toddler learning to walk.
Doggy Piers, love it.
...
The Piers.
Brandon Piers, after finishing his work, started watching the live feed on his phone.
However, the live feed wasn’t of some pretty female streamer but of a dog that had just been renamed.
Kelvin Max had seen Second Young Master looking all dejected like he was dying last night, but today, he seemed relaxed, holding his phone with a soft expression, even exhibiting a lovelorn smile now and then, stirring up goosebumps all over. Fortunately, all of Piers was under Second Young Master’s control now, and no one dared to come in here recklessly. Otherwise, who knew what rumors would spread.
He had heard that last night, Second Young Master stared at Dr. Morse with such fiery eyes that Dr. Morse fled Moon Lake Manor with a red face, and today, sneakily went to a Piers-affiliated psychologist, asking if he was bent?
Thinking of this, Kelvin Max shivered. Could it be that the Second Young Master had gone mad with grief after the Young Mistress left?
