Chapter 668: Chapter 668: Witnessing the Young Lady’s Great Transformation
Beep.
After Brandon Piers left, Abigail Green still felt uneasy.
She decided to leave Teddy with Aunt Claudia and Kelly. Then she called Pullan to take her to the Waldorf.
As the car approached, Abigail’s phone beeped with a text from an unknown number.
Abigail opened it without much thought and saw a message from Eva Bell. For a moment, she nearly exploded and yelled to Pullan, "Drive faster!"
Pullan was startled. "Ma’am, is something wrong?"
"Do you have Kennan Max’s number? Give it to me," Abigail didn’t answer Pullan’s question and asked directly.
Pullan quickly handed his phone to Abigail. "The password is the first six Arabic numerals."
Abigail took the phone and was momentarily puzzled. Then it dawned on her—it was 123456. She didn’t have time to be disgusted with Pullan. She unlocked it and dialed Kennan Max’s number.
The call connected quickly, and Abigail asked anxiously, "Where is your second Young Master?"
"Ma’am?" Kennan Max asked, confirming Abigail’s identity before quickly replying, "Sorry, ma’am, we’ve encountered some issues. We’re heading to your husband’s room but are facing some difficulties."
"What difficulties?" Abigail’s heart was in her throat.
"Hotel security has stopped us. We also can’t reach the two people with the Young Master," Kennan Max answered concisely, equally anxious. He saw a row of security guards who were actually martial arts masters in disguise. If they forced their way into the hotel, the media would probably pick up the scent immediately, leading to even more trouble.
The Waldorf was under the Bell’s control, and they couldn’t reach Abigail’s husband. He had no way of knowing what was happening inside and hoped the Young Master could hold on a little longer without any accidents.
Abigail knew things weren’t simple.
They had prepared thoroughly, yet Eva Bell still outsmarted them. It showed that Eva had anticipated all their moves and wouldn’t stop until her goal was reached.
Forcing their way in would only play into her hands.
Hanging up, Pullan accelerated again. Abigail watched the rapidly retreating street scene and, as they passed a shop window, suddenly ordered, "Stop the car."
Pullan somewhat guessed what was happening and sped up, but hearing Abigail’s order, he hastily braked, a bit anxious, "Ma’am, we’re almost at the hotel."
"I know," Abigail said as she opened the door. "Wait for me."
Pullan was confused, watching Abigail walk towards a women’s clothing store. His mind was full of questions. Was she shopping at a time like this?
Just as he was puzzled, he saw a mannequin in the shop window getting undressed, and soon a chic, stylish lady in a high-end outfit and sunglasses came out, swaying as she walked towards him.
If Pullan hadn’t recognized her, he might not have realized it was Abigail.
This was not just changing clothes; it was a complete transformation!
While Pullan was stunned, the lady pulled open the car door and ordered, "Drive."
Pullan snapped out of it and quickly started the car.
Sitting in the back, Abigail pulled out a lipstick she had bought from the saleswoman and applied a thick layer in the mirror.
In Durin over the past month, her skin had recovered. The red lipstick unexpectedly made her skin look even fairer. With the sunglasses highlighting her high nose and rosy lips, she looked both alluring and dangerous.
After finishing her makeup, Abigail took a few silver needles from her bag and pinned them to her sleeve.
After she finished, the car arrived at the Waldorf.
Pullan prepared to follow Abigail out of the car. But Abigail coldly ordered, "Call Kennan Max. Ask if he knows the code to Eva Bell’s room. If so, send it to me."
"But I need to protect you..."
"Do as I say," Abigail interrupted Pullan, tossing this line as she swayed gracefully out of the car. Adjusting her sunglasses with a theatrical touch, she finally stepped into the hotel in her high heels.
Upon entering, she saw nearly ten uniformed security guards in the luxurious lobby, but Kennan Max was not among them.
As she looked away, the customer service manager approached. "Sorry, miss, we’re fully booked today."
"Room 3821. Lawyer Jones’s guest. Last name Green," Abigail raised her sunglasses and arrogantly said.
The manager was stunned. "Lawyer Jones?"
"What? You don’t know Benjamin Jones?" Abigail was slightly displeased.
"We weren’t informed," the manager said awkwardly.
"Benjamin is on a flight and asked me to come early. Since when does your hotel interfere in guests’ private affairs?" Abigail’s tone turned angry.
"But we can’t let just any woman..."
"Do you mean I’m not the only one looking for Benjamin?" Abigail interrupted, this time sounding annoyed.
"No... I will take you upstairs myself," the manager, seeing her extraordinary beauty and temper, assumed she wasn’t an ordinary person. He didn’t dare offend her. Moreover, Lawyer Jones was a valued guest who always stayed in room 3821. Most people wouldn’t know that.
It seemed likely she was his girlfriend.
Besides, the manager doubted such a strikingly beautiful woman had any connection to the shady assistant at the back door. He personally led Abigail to room 3821.
Abigail was sweating lightly as she pressed her fingers on the digital lock to enter a sequence. Then she held her breath.
Beep.
The door suddenly opened.
Abigail was surprised that Benjamin Jones, a stickler for routine, hadn’t changed the password after all these years.
She turned to the manager with a haughty look. "Are you coming in with me?"
"No, please rest inside," the manager quickly replied, retreating into the elevator.
Once he left, Abigail swiftly entered the room and checked her phone for the code Pullan had sent, feeling relieved.
She then left the room. Eva Bell had booked a business suite similar to Benjamin’s but on a different floor.
Abigail quickly entered the fire escape, removed her high heels, and ran to the 37th floor. Surprisingly, it was loose inside with no security.
Brandon’s people were not there, nor were Eva’s men.
Taking a deep breath, Abigail quickly walked to room 3721 and entered the code.
As the beep sounded, she kicked the door open, and saw Eva Bell leisurely sipping wine.
Eva froze. She hadn’t expected Abigail Green to arrive so quickly. Glancing at the time, only twenty-eight minutes had passed since she sent the message. "How did you get in!"
"How I got in doesn’t matter. What matters is I’m here," Abigail said as she rushed at Eva. Before Eva could put down her wine glass, Abigail slapped her twice.
Stunned, Eva asked, "You dare hit me?"
"I’ll also stab you," Abigail said, piercing Eva’s head with a needle.
In the next moment, Eva froze on the sofa, her mouth stiff. "What... what did you do to me?"
Abigail ignored her. Her eyes were fixed on the wooden screen Eva had mentioned in the message.
