Chapter 513: Young Master, Abigail Is In Trouble

Chapter 513: Chapter 513: Young Master, Abigail Is In Trouble

Abigail considered the fact that Teddy had not been fully weaned yet, so the outside food was too heavy for him. She tasted a little and then found an excuse to leave the private room.

As soon as she stepped out, she encountered a handsome waiter carrying a fruit plate. Abigail hurriedly dodged, but unexpectedly, the waiter slipped, and all the fruit from the plate fell onto her beige coat.

Seeing the colorful stains left by the red watermelon juice, purple dragon fruit, and yellow mango, Abigail’s face turned pale and then green.

This triggered her cleanliness obsession.

"I... I’m so sorry, miss..." The waiter looked at Abigail with great remorse and reached out, wanting to wipe her coat.

Abigail hurriedly avoided his hand, "I’ll do it myself."

"I’m really, really sorry. How about this? I’ll have someone buy you a new coat right away. Can you please wait in the lounge upstairs?" The young, handsome boy said tremblingly.

Abigail took off her coat, "No need."

Perhaps it was because the private room had a barbecue grill, but Abigail felt particularly hot and her tone carried a hint of impatience.

"It will be quick. If you leave like this, the manager will definitely dock my pay." The waiter said as he tried to grab Abigail’s wrist.

Abigail avoided him, "This coat you just dirtied costs eighteen thousand nine hundred yuan. Are you sure compensating me is less expensive than getting a docked pay?"

After speaking, Abigail planned to leave.

The waiter obviously hadn’t expected her to say that and looked anxious, "Um, I..."

"Abigail, what happened?" Just as the waiter was getting entangled, Sophie Hope’s voice sounded from behind.

Abigail shook her head, "It’s nothing."

Sophie’s cold gaze fell on the waiter, but she asked Abigail, "Abigail, do you want to go back?"

Abigail glanced at her phone, which showed just past six-ten. She had just sent Brandon Piers a message and figured she had to wait a bit longer, "Yeah, I’ll go back in a minute. You go ahead and have fun with them."

"It’s noisy. I’ll leave with you." Sophie naturally stood by Abigail’s side, shielding her from the waiter.

Seeing this, the waiter bit his lip and gave up.

Abigail still felt uncomfortable, but not unbearably so. She recalled the drink she had earlier; she had reluctantly taken a few sips due to the commotion, but she hadn’t felt anything unusual amidst the noisy crowd.

"Help, is there a doctor? Someone come here..."

As Abigail furrowed her brows, recalling what happened earlier, someone suddenly shouted for help. Due to the noise in the karaoke bar, hardly anyone noticed. But Abigail, with her keen senses, immediately located the direction, "Someone is calling for help. Let’s go check it out."

Abigail said and then jogged toward the direction of the cry for help.

Sophie hurried to follow, but just then, a waiter pushed a broken large grill between the two of them. The restaurant was decorated in a KTV style, making the aisle quite narrow. This obstacle left Sophie behind, and she grew anxious, "Hurry up, please!"

"Sorry, the cart seems to be broken. Let me take a look." The waiter said as he crouched to inspect the cart.

Meanwhile, Abigail followed the voice and turned, disappearing from Sophie’s sight. Sophie lost her patience and, with a swift move, leaped over the cart.

"Help, is there a doctor? Someone come here..."

The cries for help continued. Abigail followed the voice and saw a middle-aged man lying on the ground, with a woman of similar age kneeling next to him, crying.

Abigail quickly knelt down, "Move aside, I’m a doctor. Have you called 120?"

"Yes, yes, you are a doctor, please save my husband." The middle-aged woman said, stepping behind Abigail.

Abigail knelt and checked the man’s condition, "Does he have a heart disease history?"

"No, he just collided with someone over there..." The woman said anxiously, her words incoherent.

Abigail quickly examined the man but found nothing unusual. Just as she frowned, she sensed the woman behind her getting unnervingly quiet. She instinctively looked back, felt a sharp pain in her neck, and then lost consciousness.

Sophie followed the direction Abigail had turned but couldn’t find her. All she found was a dirty coat with a phone inside. Realizing what had happened, she immediately called Brandon Piers, "Second Young Master, the lady is in trouble."

Brandon, on his way to the restaurant, saw Sophie’s number and sensed something was wrong. Hearing her words, his mind went blank, "You go after them. I’ll have the surveillance footage checked."

He hung up on Sophie, called Michael Piers, and reported the restaurant’s name, speaking in a steady voice, "Help me find out who is behind this restaurant."

After hanging up on Michael, he quickly called Kennan Max, "Immediately lock down Nathaniel Street’s Grill Karaoke Bar."

Peter, driving in front, had already increased the speed to its maximum.

After giving these instructions, Brandon called Kelvin Max, "Investigate, see if the second and third branches have made any recent moves."

"Yes."

Despite all the arrangements, Brandon’s mood didn’t improve at all. His mind was filled with concern over Abigail. Who dared to be so bold to touch his people?

"Faster," Brandon couldn’t help but urge.

But it was rush hour, and even at full speed, they couldn’t go much faster.

Brandon’s heart hung in mid-air, suppressing his growing irritation.

...

At the Grill Karaoke Bar,

Sophie searched all the private rooms along the turn but still couldn’t find Abigail.

Unwilling to give up, she had clearly seen Abigail turn a corner. How could she not be there? She pounded the wall in frustration, not feeling the pain even when her fist started bleeding. She swiftly recalled where she could have missed.

Suddenly, the memory of being blocked by a cart flashed through her mind. Sophie stood up straight in shock, "That’s right, the cart!"

Just as she had turned to follow Abigail, another waiter had pushed a cart covered with a white cloth, holding nothing.

Realizing this, Sophie turned and ran, grabbing a waiter along the way, "Where is your kitchen?"

"Over... over there." The waiter was frightened by Sophie’s fierce demeanor.

Seeing the complex path, Sophie said, "Take me there, now!"

"I..."

"No nonsense!" The waiter wanted to refuse but was grabbed by Sophie by his collar and lifted.

The waiter almost wet himself in fright, "I’ll take you, I’ll take you, just put me down..."

"No nonsense, hurry up." Sophie dragged the waiter, directing him to point the way while they ran. She reached the kitchen and kicked the door open.

The kitchen staff were startled. Sophie released the waiter, "Where are they?"

"Who... who are you talking about?" The chef was trembling under Sophie’s imposing manner.

Sophie ignored him, her eyes falling on the wide-open back door. Her face turned pale as she chased after them.
