Chapter 743: Chapter 743: Sisters-in-law
"Did everyone understand? The approach to solving these types of questions is very simple. During the exam, whether you know it or not, when you see these key sentence patterns, first write this formula on your paper, and the teacher grading it will at least give you three points, then take the few numbers mentioned in the question..."
The teacher’s voice echoed through the classroom, as everyone quietly copied the notes from the board.
The bell signaling the end of the class rang, and the physics teacher picked up the thermal cup that had been steeped with fat sea herbs and took a sip.
"Class is over! Class representative, come to my office to collect the tests."
Finally, the class ended, and a boy muttered quietly, "The gym class this afternoon, I wonder who will come to teach?"
As everyone knew, the high school’s PE teachers were always especially prone to illness.
The originally scheduled PE classes would then be opportunistically divided up by the teachers of various subjects, a sight everyone was accustomed to.
During the break, some students went to the restroom, while others rested their heads on the desks for a moment.
Others chattered, discussing some recent news they had heard on the radio.
Yue Qingqing was resting with her eyes closed when she suddenly heard the noise from the corridor.
"Xitong, you’re back?"
"Wow, you’re getting married? Congratulations, congratulations."
Hearing the familiar name, Yue Qingqing opened her eyes and just happened to see Zhou Xitong, her face aglow, walking in.
Her complexion looked good, and her waist seemed fuller than before.
The slight bulge in her lower abdomen would likely enable experienced elders to discern the month at a glance.
Zhou Xitong was bursting with pride, as her wedding date with Jiang Pengxuan had been set.
For Zhou Leping, marrying his daughter into the Jiang Family was definitely not a losing deal.
Being Zhou Leyong’s younger brother, he actually didn’t have much influence; his company was small, completely dependent on his older brother’s influence.
Yet according to Jiang Chengyi, he was the most trusted person of Jiang Chengren.
His own son, Jiang Pengxuan, also had a place in the company, with essentially the same treatment as Jiang Jingze.
Thus, once his daughter was pregnant, Zhou Leping immediately demanded that the couple marry right away to settle the matter.
Zhou Xitong was at the school today specifically to distribute wedding invitations, and incidentally to show off to someone, letting her see who managed to marry into the Jiang Family first.
With Zhou Xitong’s return, many people’s gazes were drawn to her belly, immediately understanding that the school’s explanation of her dropping out to study abroad was utterly baseless.
The looks they gave her carried a hint of mockery.
But Zhou Xitong was indifferent; these people were just bookworms who, even after stepping out into society, would at best reach a moderately well-off class, not comparable to her at all.
Yue Qingqing watched as Zhou Xitong stepped closer to her and placed a gold-embossed invitation before her eyes.
Yue Qingqing looked up at her, "Hmm?"
"This Saturday is my wedding, held at Lingguang Hotel, the same place as the last auction."
Zhou Xitong would never forget how Zhou Yiran had kicked her out.
All for that shameless vixen.
Yue Qingqing’s expression remained unchanged, "Congratulations."
"Don’t you want to know whom I married?"
Yue Qingqing glanced at her, enunciating each word, "Sorry, I’m not very interested."
"It might be related to you though." Zhou Xitong gently caressed her belly, a smug smile on her face, "I married Jiang Jingze—"
The people around them suddenly froze.
Jiang Jingze had been to the school last time, wasn’t he Yue Qingqing’s boyfriend?
"Jiang Jingze’s cousin—Jiang Pengxuan."
Zhou Xitong took a deep breath, and the people around her then patted their chests in relief.
But the jesting looks shifted between the two of them again.
If this was the case, wouldn’t the two of them be related by marriage in the future?
Wow, this really mixed things up; the Jiang Family would certainly be lively from now on.
