Chapter 606: Chapter 606: Letting Zhou Xitong Live Off Campus
The dormitory supervisor teacher had already reported this matter to the principal yesterday.
Zhou Xitong insulted her classmates for no reason and broke the school rules by leaving the school.
It was the dormitory supervisor teacher who chased her down and temporarily arranged a new empty dormitory to stop her from making trouble.
In the eyes of the dormitory supervisor teacher, if someone had to be expelled, it should be Zhou Xitong who had tainted the school’s atmosphere.
People like her don’t study at all; they simply pollute this pure land.
Yet the principal had no other option, as he was well aware of the Zhou Family’s situation, and Zhou Xitong was not someone who could be easily expelled.
Unexpectedly, Zhou Leping had turned around and asked the principal to expel Yue Qingqing instead.
The principal replied calmly, "Mr. Zhou, I’m afraid we can’t do that."
Zhou Leping snorted, "I can donate an additional fifty thousand yuan to the school."
Fifty thousand yuan to make a student leave.
He thought the principal should know what to do if he was wise.
But as the principal of Lingguang No.1 Middle School, the man really did not play along.
"This isn’t about money. The school’s duty is to educate and solve puzzles; educating is our top priority, and we need to make students understand the reasons, so we cannot expel someone for no reason."
Zhou Leping said in a disagreeable tone, "So it’s my daughter’s fault now? She was the one who got hit."
"Then, we would need Ms. Zhou to provide a medical report so we can assess the severity of the situation," the principal replied.
Zhou Leping was momentarily lost for words; didn’t he know his own daughter?
If her hand were really about to break or her injuries were severe, she wouldn’t need him to come forward; Zhou Xitong would have reported it to the police by herself.
Zhou Leping also felt his daughter was exaggerating. Just the other day, the homeroom teacher had talked to him about his daughter’s premature romantic involvement; clearly, this was also a jealousy-induced incident.
But Zhou Leping had to stand up for his daughter, "I’ll add another fifty thousand, making it a total of one hundred thousand. The one called Yue Qingqing must be expelled."
His arrogant tone even made the principal laugh.
Like father, like daughter indeed.
Putting aside who was right or wrong in this incident, Yue Qingqing was a true top scholar.
The principal had wooed her over with free boarding and scholarships every semester, just so she could become another shining emblem for Lingguang No.1 Middle School in three years’ time.
Not to mention one hundred thousand, even doubling the amount wouldn’t tempt him.
"This isn’t about money, Mr. Zhou. I also hope you can pay more attention to your child’s education because parents’ influence is very important, and teachers can only do so much."
Before Zhou Leping could get angry, the principal added slowly, "And the Yue family isn’t that simple either; perhaps there will be opportunities for business cooperation with them in the future."
Zhou Leping scoffed.
He had heard from his daughter that Yue Qingqing was from some small place; what kind of cooperation could there possibly be? He was even giving her too much credit.
Neither of them were happy after this phone call.
Thinking it over, the principal decided Yue Qingqing and Zhou Xitong couldn’t continue to stay in the same dormitory and summoned both of their homeroom teachers.
"Zhou Xitong had applied to live off-campus before school started; the Zhou Family seems to have bought her a house. I didn’t approve previously because it was against school rules, but now with all this commotion, let’s just let her live out there."
The homeroom teacher hesitated a bit, "But Zhou Xitong is currently in a romantic relationship, and it’s easy for children her age to get into trouble if they live outside without supervision."
Her words were indirect, yet both being adults, they understood what she meant.
The principal shook his head, "I will remind her parents about this, but given Zhou Xitong’s personality, the likelihood of trouble arising if she continues to live at school is even higher."
Thinking about Zhou Xitong’s behavior, the homeroom teacher sighed, "That may be the only way."
Let’s hope there’s no major trouble.
