Chapter 302: Chapter 302: Jun Feifei’s Mother Comes to School
Qu Ruorui’s eyes were nearly consumed in black pupils,
clenching Jun Feifei’s forearm in her mouth, staring up at her from below.
Jun Feifei was both in pain and in fear, tears flying.
"Ahhhh... it hurts!"
In the midst of Jun Feifei’s screams, Yue Qingqing and Wei Rong hurried over.
"Qiuqiu!"
Hearing Yue Qingqing’s voice, Qu Ruorui gradually returned to her senses as if regaining her rationality, her pupils returning to normal as she released her bite.
She seemed to realize what she had done and burst into tears with a loud cry.
The now loudly crying Jun Feifei: "???"
Soon, a student called for the teacher.
Shi Hongzhi brought both students to the office.
He also called a few other students to understand the situation.
After learning the ins and outs, Shi Hongzhi couldn’t help but shake his head.
In his view, Qu Ruorui’s reaction was akin to a cornered rabbit lashing out.
Jun Feifei had always been overbearing, and Qu Ruorui and Yue Qingqing, as her desk mates, probably suffered quite a bit of bullying.
Too much bullying was bound to lead to an explosion, right?
He also examined where Qu Ruorui had bitten Jun Feifei.
As it had turned to autumn recently, the children were wearing much thicker clothes.
Qu Ruorui had bitten Jun Feifei through the sleeve of her sweater, and though it had bruised a bit, luckily it had not broken the skin and drawn blood.
Shi Hongzhi could only equally reprimand both parties and then returned to the class to emphasize discipline, urging the students to unite and be kind to one another.
If there were any problems, they should find a teacher instead of resorting to insults and violence.
As for Jun Feifei pointing at Qu Ruorui and calling her a monster, Shi Hongzhi didn’t take it seriously at all.
But since Jun Feifei was obviously terrified, Shi Hongzhi could only ask a life-skills teacher to take her home, letting her family comfort her and wait to return to school the next day.
Qu Ruorui sobbed spasmodically, with Yue Qingqing by her side, wiping her tears with a tissue.
"It’s okay, she’s been sent home," Yue Qingqing gently soothed.
"Wuu wuu, I didn’t mean to bite her, I don’t know why, wuu wuu wuu hiccup."
Tears had made the child hiccup; Yue Qingqing hurriedly patted her back.
Qu Ruorui hung her head in shame and gradually calmed down as the next class began.
Children forget quickly, but by the next day when it was time for class, not many were still talking about the incident.
Little did they know, Jun Feifei’s mother had come to the school.
"Which one of you is Qu Ruorui, come out here!"
Lan Li stood at the door, her voice full of authority.
The classroom’s very audible phonics reading ceased, and the students in the back row stood up to peek.
Qu Ruorui shrank away, trembling from head to toe.
Yue Qingqing whispered consolingly, "Don’t be scared, I’m right here with you."
The homeroom period was under Shi Hongzhi’s supervision; he frowned and walked toward the door.
"Jun Feifei’s mother, all students are studying here; please come to the office to discuss any matters."
Lan Li huffed, "Mr. Shi, call that student out for me. I want to see what kind of family education produces someone who bites like a dog."
Shi Hongzhi frowned, "Please mind your language. There was wrongdoing on both sides here."
"What do you mean ’both sides are wrong?’ My daughter was bitten out of nowhere!"
Lan Li was infuriated, "Call her parents to the school too; I want to ask them exactly what happened."
Jun Feifei stood behind her mother with her head lowered, the normally flaunting girl now resembled a little quail.
All the classmates pricked up their ears; clearly, no one was in the mood for morning reading anymore.
With no other choice, Shi Hongzhi had the Chinese class representative organize continued textbook reading.
He gestured for Qu Ruorui to come out first.
Yue Qingqing followed close behind, and Shi Hongzhi nodded in approval.
This child had always been more stable than other kids in the class, and with her by Qu Ruorui’s side, the latter seemed more composed.
"Is it you? What’s the matter with you, were you born in the year of the dog or what?"
Lan Li glared at Qu Ruorui with furrowed brows and piercing eyes.
Confronted by such a fierce appearance, tears welled up in Qu Ruorui’s eyes as she kept retreating in fright.
Still trying to hide? Come out here," Lan Li stretched out her hand to grab Qu Ruorui’s arm but was blocked by Yue Qingqing stepping in front.
"Auntie, let’s go to the office to speak. It’s not really good to make a scene here, don’t you think?"
Lan Li wanted to scoff at the meddling girl, but seeing Yue Qingqing’s clear, distinct eyes,
she merely huffed and turned toward the office.
