Reborn as His Intellectually Disabled Wife
Chapter 135 - 136: Worse than a Dog

Chapter 135: Chapter 136: Worse than a Dog

The voice was loud and full of vigor.

In the confined space of the car, it was particularly grating on the ears.

Uncle Liu was driving and noticed the commotion in the back of the car, asking, "What’s wrong?"

Turning his head, he found Yuejie’s face to be frightfully dark.

Uncle Liu jumped in surprise.

It was very rare for Yuejie to look like this.

Was it not an illness, but... anger?

Uncle Liu quickly pulled over and asked, "Miss, what’s wrong?"

Yuejie was always gentle and kind. In the more than twenty years he had been with her, he could count on his fingers the number of times he had seen her angry.

What on earth did this silly girl do!

Yuejie took the candy out with her handkerchief and looked at Shi Mei with a cold gaze, yet her face showed a gentle smile that did not quite match her eyes, saying, "Such lack of manners isn’t allowed, you know. If you keep this up, Sister will get angry."

Her eyes were filled with dark clouds, as if she wanted to strangle her to death.

This was the first time Shi Mei had ever seen Yuejie this angry.

It seemed that Aunt Chen’s words in the house had cast a significant shadow over her.

Seeing the reluctant smile at the corner of her mouth, Shi Mei chuckled inwardly.

Pretending to be fooled by her gentleness, Shi Mei stood with her arms akimbo and declared loudly, "I am the wife of our husband! No one else is his wife!"

"Not true, he just sees you as a child, not a wife," Yuejie unfolded her handkerchief and said, "Your candy."

Shi Mei was shocked by her in that instant.

She actually intended her to pick up the candy she had just spat out and eat it?

Shi Mei pouted and complained with a wronged face, "That’s not true at all. Husband loves Shi Mei the most!"

"He may love you, but he won’t stay with you for a lifetime," Yuejie said with a still gentle smile on her face, but her eyes couldn’t hide the jealousy.

She handed the handkerchief to Shi Mei, her voice soft and bewitching, "He doesn’t belong to you, and he will leave you sooner or later."

Shi Mei, with a face full of grievance, slapped Yuejie’s hand hard and shouted, "That’s not true! He won’t, Husband likes Shi Mei the best!"

With a ’smack’, the sound was loud, and the handkerchief fell to the ground.

Uncle Liu’s face grew dark as he snapped, "You mustn’t be disrespectful!"

Shi Mei, as if startled, trembled all over, and then burst into tears with a ’wah’ sound.

Uncle Liu quickly checked the back of Yuejie’s hand.

Her pale backhand was now reddened!

Uncle Liu, feeling a surge of pain for her, glared fiercely at Shi Mei, "With your stupidity, do you really think you can keep a man? Hah, Ling Yan would only marry you because our Miss stepped aside. Without her stepping down, do you think you’d be here today? You’d probably be worse off than a dog!"

Shi Mei’s cries grew even louder.

Yuejie, disturbed by the commotion, frowned and said, "Uncle Liu, don’t interfere in my matters."

Uncle Liu, still unhappily said, "Fools like her always try to take an inch after getting a mile. If you don’t teach her properly now, she’ll end up walking all over you!"

"I have my limits."

Uncle Liu looked conflicted, but ultimately returned to the driver’s seat.

Yet, the look he gave Shi Mei was filled with displeasure and murderous intent.

If she weren’t still useful, he would have killed her right there.

Uncle Liu forced himself to focus on the road ahead and started the car.

Yuejie picked up the handkerchief and used it to wipe Shi Mei’s tears, saying, "Don’t cry, Sister Bai has a good plan that will keep Brother Ling Yan with you forever."

Shi Mei’s crying gradually quieted, and she looked at her between sobs, "Really... really?"
