After all, most people were still living in single-story houses at that time, generally with heated brick beds, so there was no need for double beds.

And if a double bed were to be made on the spot, the master said it would take two days.

Lu Zheng touched his nose, and Lin Xia exchanged a glance with him; both were reminded of the problematic iron frame bed from the day before.

The matter of the bed had to be resolved without delay.

Lin Xia felt amused inside, and her face was still a bit feverish.

Seeing how urgent they appeared, the owner suggested that if they were in a hurry, they could also choose one of the ready-made wrought iron beds in the store.

It was as if they were spending money like it was nothing, buying so many things!

Lin Xia and the others were busy with the workers on the side, directing where things should go, so no one noticed Yang Wanmeng’s departure or how awful her face looked as she turned around and left.
