After the deal was confirmed, Lin Xia began taking inventory of the store’s merchandise, along with Lin Chun, Song Zhiya, and two clerks.

The weather today was stiflingly hot and windless; even with the front and back doors and windows wide open, there was hardly a breeze passing through.

Lin Aiguo clenched his fists, his breathing labored, "I know! But I didn’t know you were leaving too!

"Lin Chun! You have a good job at your unit, so why are you leaving? Is home not good enough for you?"

If Lin Chun’s maternal grandfather was of no consequence, Lin Aiguo might still have managed to talk about not being able to make it in another place.

Lin Chun ignored his question, and asked again, "Who told you I was leaving?"

He was planning to leave, not to slip away without a sound, but to wait until the family business was somewhat settled and then to inform Lin Aiguo just before leaving calmly.
