Reborn As A Phoenix With Beast Taming System -
Chapter 64: Bai Suzhen
Chapter 64: 64: Bai Suzhen
Yunxian flustered as she realized what she had just said to him. Ash was obviously aware that if he ought to stay within the same roof with an unmarried woman it would surely spark negative rumours about.
"P-Please pardon my choice of words. What I meant to say is, as Uncle Yigao’s Grand Disciple, It would be very rude of me if I let you rent a room at a random inn. If something happened to you while I am soundly asleep, I would lose my face in front of Uncle Yigao."
Ash closed his eyes gently. Her reasoning was sound as it is very logical. "En. If that’s the case, I will sleep at the guesthouse with the others."
"But, the guesthouse only has low quality bed..."
Before she know it, Ash was already walked past her while waving at her casually. "Good night, Miss Yunxian. See you in the morning."
She was so surprised once she suddenly heard his voice behind her. ’When did he?!’
"Y-yes, good night." Yunxian waved back at him as she looked at his broad shoulder. In her eyes, he looked so young yet possessed the knowledge and wisdom that of a mage.
As soon as Yunxian entered her living quarter which was situated at the deepest section of the annex, two ladies-in-waiting emerged from the backroom. One with long hair brought her a warm towel while the other lady-in-waiting who has deep green hair brought a refreshment before heading to bed.
The two soon lowered their gaze as Yunxian sloughed off her garment layer after layer in front of the mirror until she was fully naked.
"Go ahead, Tanyu." Yunxian glanced at the long haired young girl.
"Yes, milady."
Afterward, Tanyu did the usual night routine by cleaning Yunxian’s body before bedtime. Even though Yunxian was practically immune to any mortal maladies and able to maintain her "cleanness" by regulating her internal Qi Energy, Yunxian still enjoys the relaxing effect of being touched and massaged by others.
She then slipped into the silk pajamas and lay down in the bed after she drank the medicinal tea to help her sleep better.
"Good night, my lady," said the two ladies-in-waiting in unison.
As the door was closed from the other side, Yunxian couldn’t stop her hand from exploring her own body under the blanket and was thinking about having intimate time with him.
"Mmmh... Young Lord."
****
Meanwhile, Ash stepped onto the porch and knocked on the door of the guesthouse. Soon after, Zhu Yan pulled the door open, and was intrigued on why the young lord would sleep in the guesthouse instead of Lady Yunxian’s annex.
"Is there something the matter, young lord?"
"Nothing in particular. Do you mind if I crash here for the night?" Ash raised an eyebrow.
"Obviously not! Young Lord Xiao Hûo. Please come in." Zhu Yan pulled the door wide open and ushered him into the master bedroom.
"I’m going to meditate in my room. Do not, under any circumstances, disturb my meditation."
"Certainly, young lord."
Ash sighed a long breath and threw himself into the bed.
"What a fucking day, huh?!"
Ash took out the Dung-shaped stone from his Storage Ring, trying to perceive the White Jade Snake inside it. He was so confused, how could a legendary beast be imprisoned like this and degraded to this state?
"Hey!"
Suddenly, the high pitched voice rang aloud in his mind. The fact that she could reach his mind speaks volume of her true strength.
"No need to shout. I can hear you perfectly." Ash massaged the temples of his head. "Don’t call me as if I am a dog or something. I have a name!"
"A name?! Fufufu. A lowly Beast like you have a name?! How laughable." The White Jade Snake giggled mockingly.
"Lowly beast? Me? Yeah, I am. But, I have two legs and am able to throw you away into a pit full of pigs if I want to." Ash taunted the Legendary Beast.
"Hmph! Don’t get too cocky just yet, little bird. I know exactly who you are—just from the scent of your feathers. Aisshh! What did I do in my past life to deserve such a wretched fate? Of all the beasts in this realm... I am being held by a Heavenly Phoenix!"
Ash didn’t expect that this haughty snake was able to perceive his disguise so easily. He felt like an open book in front of her. Notwithstanding the insult, Ash opted to open the window and was ready to throw the conical rock away.
"Alright then. If you despise my kin that much, to the pit of pigs you go!"
"Wait! Wait! Wait! Please! Anything but that! I have enough being violated by those mindless, filthy animals!"
"Haishh! What do you want then?! Do you want to help you escape from this prison or not?!"
The White Jade Snake sulked, she coiled around inside her prison. "P-Please help me, o, great Heavenly Phoenix."
Ash put the conical rock on the table, pondering deeply whether he should help her or not. It’s already common knowledge in every universe that birds and snakes are meant to kill each other for the longest time.
"Pray tell, Bai Suzhen, why should I help you in the first place?"
The White Jade Snake shivered as her true name was mentioned by him. She already even forgot how long it has been since anyone called her that way.
"Y-you know my name?"
"Of course. You are not the only one around here who has the ability to read someone’s secret."
"But, How could you–"
"Does it matter?" Ash rested his chin on his fist. "Anyway, how can I get you out of here?"
There was a long pause between them before she finally spoke her mind again. "There are five seals. Each seal represents each element of nature. Fire, Metal, Earth, Wood, and Water. Only the purest of the purest form of each element is able to release them."
