Reborn As A Phoenix With Beast Taming System
Chapter 112: Wang Zhen’s Invitation

Chapter 112: 112: Wang Zhen’s Invitation

"What just happened?!" Ash was utterly bewildered. Looking at Wang Zhen’s elderly figure, Ash subsequently acknowledged his undisputed Cultivation Stage!

Without exaggeration, Wang Zhen was the only human cultivator in the entire Immortal Beast Realm who had reached the pinnacle of Human Realm Cultivation. Peak Nascent Soul!

Of course, Ash couldn’t exactly measure Wang Zhen’s power. On the contrary, Wang Zhen could see the young man’s boundless potential as clear as a day.

"Hohoho! Young man, you do have interesting talent! What would you say if I took you as my disciple instead?"

Ash opted to put his swords into their sheaths, and walked away in a solemn phase. "I already have a Shifu. His name is Tang Yigao."

"Hah Tang Yigao, you said?" Wang Zhen scoffed. "That mongrel is hardly keeping his sect together due to Tang Sect’s internal strife, yet he chose to pick a disciple instead?! What next? Carrying out his will? My eyes won’t fool me, Xiao Hûo. There’s only one goal in your mind. Power and Influence, just like anybody else. And I have both of them! Join Wang Sect, and I shall give you all!"

The bystanders who heard Wang Zhen’s offer immediately grew jealous. A direct invitation from the Grand Elder of Wang Sect?! That was unheard of! Moreover, Wang Sect was very inclusive, they only scout for the best disciples. If possible, the Elders of Wang Sect would go to another sect, and poach their finest disciples by manipulation and bribes.

Granted, this very method made Wang Sect triumphed and control the half Western Region!

"I must decline your offer, I’m afraid." Ash glanced at Wang Zhen scrutinizingly. "True enough, I pursue power and influence over anything. However, I won’t allow myself to become another’s puppet."

"Hmph! Frivolous brat!" Wang Zhen snapped. "You’ll regret it. I’ll ensure the fall of the Tang Sect, and you’ll beg and kneel before me to let you enter the Wang Sect!"

"That won’t happen." Ash said calmly. "If you are offended by my words, go ahead, kill me already. But, the wrath of Tang Yigao would cost you dearly. Could you afford the damage though?!"

Wang Zhen staggered for a moment. He didn’t expect the young man would go against his will in a bold manner.

"You!"

Wang Zhen was furious. An energy bolt crackled on the tip of his two fingers. Ash could feel the destructive power even though Wang Zhen only exerted a fraction of his full strength. His bones were rattling from the inside, screaming. If Wang Zhen decided to kill him, Ash would use his trump card and escape to Huxian’s Domain.

However, Wang Zheng opted to not kill the young man just yet. His unparalleled talent was exceedingly rare in the entire realm. On top of that, the consequences of killing another’s disciple out of spite would only harm his reputation instead.

"Hmph! In the Final Round, I will make Wang Zhaojun even stronger! By then, you’d be begging me to save your life!"

Zapp!

Wang Zhen the portal once again, and he went in there while tugging Wang Zhaojun’s hand as well. Afterward, the whole Colosseum went silent. The Arena Announcer decided that the fight would be a draw due to the unexpected accident. Since the schedule was fully packed, a rematch would be impossible. Henceforth, due to the pressure from Wang Zhen, both of them were advancing to the Final Round.

However, Ash didn’t give it much thought and went to his Inn soon thereafter.

Yunxian jumped out of her desk the moment she saw him all bloodied, his favourite crimson hanfu was torn.

"Young Lord! Are you okay?!"

"I’m fine. I just need some rest."

"Gosh! At least, let us help you to clean yourself first!"

Ash couldn’t help but to accept her offer. "That would be greatly appreciated."

Afterward, he was ushered to the bathhouse after Yunxian helped him change into a bathrobe.

While he was enjoying the gentle touch from the elven ladies, Yunxian also used this opportunity to rest a little bit after such a busy day.

"How’s the inn? Did everything go well?"

Yunxian stretched her arms upward, further emphasizing her sizable breasts. "Going well is really an understatement, Young Lord. We are cooked! Clearly, we would need a restaurant or a stand alone tavern for the regular who came here just to enjoy some booze and the company of the elves."

"Eh? How come? I didn’t expect the inn wpuld be so booming."

"Thanks to your advertising. The moment you were announced as the Long River City’s Representative in the Ten Sky, the guests were pouring into the lounge hall like endless waves in the ocean!"

"Hahaha!" Ash chuckled joyously seeing Yunxian’s pouting face. "Indeed, I am also thinking of finding the dwarves that might have crossed into this realm. But, I have no lead just yet."

Yunxian hid her sulking face by submerged it halfway through. Only her eyes and forehead were above her head for a second and emerged from the hot spring pool.

"I don’t have any idea, sadly."

"Hmm..." Ash pondered a while, he tried to narrow down the search. "Dwarves are renowned for their artisan skills, and tough miners by nature. They often found dwelling in a mineral-rich cave system, and skilled architects. On top of those things, they love their booze the most! I’d wager my whole personal savings just to find them! If you have someone in mind for this job, feel free to tell me. I’d pay them."

"I don’t have any connections with bounty hunters or mercenaries. They were just awful lot who only care about money, they’d waste your money on booze and women first before doing the actual job."

Ash shook his head, disbelief. "Tsk, tsk, tsk! Just how depraved these people are?!"

"However, I have a friend who loves to explore nature’s wonders. She’s a bit eccentric, but she’s very fluent in reading nature and surviving in any kind of environment."

"Then, bring me to her. I’d talk with her personally. There’s still some time before the Final Round after all."

Yunxian wrapped herself in a dry bathrobe. "If you wish to meet her, we will depart tomorrow. Though, I must tell you this, she’s a bit eccentric. Matter of fact, she is an actual princess of the Great Kingdom of Tianzhu."

Far away, beyond the suffocating chaos of roaring beasts and Cultivators who hunted them, by day and night across the sprawling jungles, lay an untouched place. Only a few knew this place and were allowed to peek into this pristine piece of land.

This place was undisclosed in order to preserve its sanctity.

Past the rural villages, into the dense wilderness, across winding rivers and steep hills, through treacherous turns of the cave system, one would arrive at a sacred place. Crystal-clear waterfalls cascaded with serene majesty, illuminated by the sunlight that came from the massive opening above.

There, atop a massive boulder, sat a lone figure in tranquil meditation in front of the waterfall, immoveable, even by the rumbling sounds of the waterfall. Around her, hundreds of birds from many species gathered. Singing, frolicked with each other. Some little birds even perched on her shoulders and head.

She was not a Cultivator by any means. However, her natural lineage gave her exceptional raw strength and agility. She’s a half-human and half-giant.

She had come here seeking silence, to tame the storm within, to refine the strength of her spirit. From afar, it would be hard to tell that this youngster was actually a female. Her frame was muscular yet feminine enough at the same time, her body draped in thin linen that hugged her well-built form. A sharp jawline gave her a strikingly handsome appearance, and her red-coloured hair was cut short, wild, and practical.

Thick brows and long, dark lashes framed her closed eyes. Her presence was fierce and calm, like a sword wrapped in silk.

Though her appearance resembled that of a powerful male warrior, Aryan was still and always fond of men. In fact, she always dreamt of marrying her ideal man.

The cave surrounding her was vast, the ceiling above her was as tall as a fifty story building. She was but a speck within it.

And yet, someone dared approach her sanctum. The woman could feel the sudden shift in the air, and recognized the man’s presence even from hundreds of meters away.

"A messenger?" She thought inwardly.

Before long, the figure in a black and red hanfu robe stepped into the entrance, after trudging the treacherous pathways, he finally arrived at her meditation spot. He bowed his head with solemn respect before speaking.

"I don’t remember inking thee an invitation." She said in a polite, yet sarcastically sharp tone. She didn’t flinch, she didn’t even turn her head. Her body remained still, unshaken, as if she had known this man would come.

"My Apologies, Your Highness." he said. His trembling voice could be heard through the cavern. "You must be Princess Wu Zhutian. My friend, Lady Yunxian, told me that you could help me to find some... folks which I need to find no matter the cost."

"Lady Yunxian?! You mean Tang Yunxian?!"

"That’s correct, Your Highness."
