Reborn As A Phoenix With Beast Taming System
Chapter 100: Loser, Shall Walk Naked

Chapter 100: 100: Loser, Shall Walk Naked

Notwithstanding Lee Gaoyu’s haughty, insufferable behavior, Ash confronted the Chief Council of the Eastern Borough without any second thought.

Yunxian, meanwhile, was so upset that her night session was disturbed by this bald head. If it wasn’t for the Phoenix Inn’s sake, she would have tore Lee Gaoyu’s throat.

Meanwhile, Feng Bo and his peers were seated at the empty round table in the quiet corner of the lounge hall. This exception obviously triggered Lee Gaoyu’s complexion. In his mind, anybody who has lower stage cultivation than him should bow down, and do whatever his demands.

"Oh, we have such a generous proprietor right here! Good, very good. Now, I want a room and three elven girls in my bed! Make it quick! I’m so tired after all the heavy lifting since this morning!"

"Of course. One VIP Room coming right up." Ash said. He then glanced at the male disciples who were standby in the lounge hall. Afterward, the boys were in motion to prepare the VIP Room for this esteemed guest. "Please wait... Your room is being prepared right now."

Shortly after, Lee Gaoyu noticed that the elven ladies were busy with Feng Bo’s group or busy with serving the other guests who enjoyed their company.

"Hey! Are you deaf! I want three girls in my bed! Also, why the hell my room is prepared by these fucking brats!"

Ash smirked from ear to ear. "Of course. Let me ask the elven ladies first."

"Is there anyone who wants to accompany Mr. Lee Gaoyu here?"

The elves only spared him a quick glance and then continued to mingle with the men of culture who would treat their person with loving care.

"Hmph! What kind of slander is this! How could you employ these impertinent wenches!"

Ash chuckled mockingly. "For the record. I do a hospitality business, not a whore house. Of course, my elven ladies are free to choose their clients according to their personal taste. I encourage them to do so. However, I really despise a man who thinks that everything can be bought with money."

"Hmph! What utter nonsense! Everybody has their price, I can see them hanging around their neck just like the livestocks! Now, name the price, I will buy all of your elven ladies! Especially the blonde and matured elf lady!"

"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Ash shook his head. Since Feng Bo and his peers were watching amusingly from the side, he opted to ask their suggestion to solve this conundrum.

"Pray tell, Master Feng Bo. Do you have any game to solve this conundrum?"

"If you were asking me, Young Lord Xiao Hûo, I would suggest you a card game! Fortunately, I happened to bring my card set today!"

"Splendid! What are the stakes?!"

"Since there’s no amount of money that could sway Young Lord Xiao Hu to change his mind, the loser would do anything the winner says! On top of that, we could also join the table. Hahaha! How’s that sound, Young Lord?!"

"I couldn’t agree more!" The Jade Grade Alchemist, Jie Rong, raised his cup of wine above his head. "Prepare the table! A card game for four people!"

Yunxian smiled impishly, glancing at the young man. "Do you really know how to play this game?"

"I don’t." Ash said in a whisper. "But, I do know some gambling games back in the day. I’m sure it will come back to me."

"My goodness!"

"We are in deep trouble! Lee Gaoyu is renowned for his cheating habit! He would definitely screw you over in the card game!"

"Nah, I’d win."

Before long, the round table was prepared amidst the lounge hall. The other guests who heard the commotion from downstairs soon gathered on the side.

"Alright, gentlemen! Let us begin!" Feng Bo took out the card set from his pocket and opened them on the table like a big paper fan.

Much to Ash’s surprise, the rules were similar to what he had back in the Great Althean Continent. The only stark difference was the character and the portrait artwork of each individual card. To make it more fancy, the card deck was equipped with a programmed Formation Array. Henceforth, there’s no chance for the players to cheat since the dealer was none other than the card deck itself. In this case, the dealer manifested as the Joker!

Since Gold Coin was too precious to use it for gambling game, they unanimously agreed to use silver coins instead.

"5,000 Silver Coins to buy in! Gentlemen, place your bet!" The Joker said, chuckling like a maniac.

Soon enough, the towering pile of poker chips on the table was certainly tempting for Ash. With just a quick glance, 20,000 Silver Coins were already on the table.

"Hmph!, don’t cry if you lose!" Lee Gaoyu sneered as he placed the largest stack of coins iin front of him.

Ash took off his outer jacket and sat down at the table. The dealer then dealt two cards to each player.

Luck was still on his side. The seat he picked just happened to be the one that would place the initial bet to start the game.

He casually tossed 200 Silver Coins as the opening bet.

"Tsk! Small fry... let’s see what you’ve got. Call!" Lee Gaoyu was confident with cards.

"Call!" responded Feng Bo and Jie Rong alternately.

Ash simply grinned. Then he focused on the innate skill that he had as a fully fledged Phoenix. His eyes could see even the slightest and tiniest reflection behind each player so he was able to know what cards were in their hands.

He blinked a few times. What he saw from the reflection behind Lee Gaoyu completely surprised him. He didn’t think that Yunxian would be so smart to provide the guest with the finest white jade cups and the finest rice wine at her disposal.

Ash masked his surprise skillfully. His face remained calm, only lifting an eyebrow slightly.

Once everyone opted to check, the dealer revealed the first three cards—the Flop.

Ash peeked at his hand. The probability of winning shot up to 80 percent with a Triple Ace Cards!"

He observed Lee Gaoyu who sat across from him. The acute womanizer looked very confident about his chances to win and having his way with the elven ladies.

Then the dealer placed the next two cards on the table.

Ash hid a victorious smile—his hand was now a Full House with Triple Aces and two kings!

Lee Gaoyu, who was with the stack of silver coins grinned widely and raised the bet.

"Raise!" he said, tossing in 1,000 Silver Coins worth of chips.

Ash smiled, satisfied with a victory that was almost guaranteed.

His heart was pounding. He tried to see the cards in the dealer’s deck, but unfortunately, he couldn’t see through the dealer’s hands and didn’t know what card would come next.

This was Ash’s final chance. He was hoping for just the right card to complete a Straight.

The other players were thinking the same. The cards on the table were tempting, and they were predicting that a Straight was coming.

The dealer revealed the final card—the River.

Ash let out a sigh of relief and smiled broadly. The card was exactly what he needed.

The other two players slammed the table and stormed out of the room, out of chips.

"Tsk! This is bullshit! This table is cursed!"

"Mr. Ash wins with a Straight to the Jack of Diamonds. Congratulations," the dealer said as he stacked the chips and handed them over to Ash.

25,000 Silver Coins.

The amount he won had already surpassed what he needed. Ash quickly gathered his money to his side and put everything into his spatial ring.

However, Lee Gaoyu who previously had the biggest stack wasn’t as calm as before.

"Bah! You must’ve cheated and counted cards!" he snapped, having lost badly to Ash.
