After Sofia and her friends stopped the Nightmare Weapons from reaching the wounded allies, while also being healed by Alma, Maria rushed to attack the amorphous bastard in front of her, using her Dream Weapon.

With a never-ending flurry of attacks, Maria cut through the Nightmare Demon's massive body, dividing him into hundreds of little chunks in a mere second.

The Nightmare Demon of Self-Hatred let out the loudest, agonizing scream Maria had ever heard, as Beatriz quickly rushed to fight back as well, turning her arms into huge, muscular arms covered in black fur and with giant claws.

"DIE!"

She roared angrily, she hated her brother more than Maria thought, and went for the overkill, as she sliced his pieces even more, trying to completely eliminate him!

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

"GRUUAAGGH?!"

The Nightmare Demon screamed even more, his soul and body divided into so many parts, and…

And his body was taking so much damage, so much hatred!

"S-SO MUCH POWER!"

Suddenly, an enormous explosion of nightmare essence erupted from his body, as even his tiny fragments forcefully merged.

However, half of them were lost through the explosion, although it didn't matter to him!

RUMBLE!

The ground trembled, the oceans became darker out of nowhere, as Maria and Beatriz glanced at the thing in front of them.

He had suddenly become as tall as one hundred meters, and his entire body had become burly, covered on black armor made out of crystallized nightmare power.

"GUAHAHAHA! THANK YOU! I AM TRULY GRATEFUL!"

Through his special Nightmare Authority, the Nightmare Demon of Self-Hatred was able to turn pain into more power, not only to weaken his foes through his Nightmare Realm, but also to gain tremendous power himself.

His body was overflowing with nightmare power after he was almost killed by Maria and Beatriz, the attacks he received, and their deadly power level was enough to make him reach new heights altogether.

"YOUR ATTACKS WERE SO POWERFUL… MY BODY HAS EVOLVED!"

He had evolved, surpassing his previous limits and becoming something more. Nightmare Demons rarely went through such changes, but he managed to do so.

"NOW…! {NIGHTMARE REALM}!"

As he laughed, he immediately tried to expand his Nightmare Realm again to gain the advantage once more! The world around Maria and Beatriz, and everyone else turned black for a moment!

TRUUUMMM!!!

"NOW YOU'RE ROYALLY FUCKED! HAHAHA! THERE'S NO ESCAPE- HUH?!"

However, as he saw his Nightmare Realm expanding and being created, it suddenly began to grow distorted, spiraling within the area Maria was, as he noticed a huge black hole in her chest devouring it.

"W-WHAT?!"

His Nightmare Realm and all the power he used to create it went to Maria, as she devoured it completely using her [Primordial Skill: All-Eating Black Void Heart: Yog-Sothoth]!

Ultimately, the entire Nightmare Realm was absorbed completely, Maria gained even more Nightmare Power Stat as a result, elevating her even further into the Realm of Nightmares.

"Geez, you're the gift that keeps on giving, you piece of shit bastard! Thank you for the meal! Now, let's see how far you can grow!"

Maria rushed in front of the Nightmare Demon with Beatriz right behind her, swinging her sword and her axe against him, cutting through his entire body countless times.

His gigantic, armored burly arms and legs were of no use, Maria both cut them and devoured them in an instant!

"{Abyssal Void Rush}!"

"UUUAAAGGGHH!"

Maria happily tested the upper limit of this monster, constantly cutting him and trying to trigger his ability so he could gain more power, she wanted to turn him into her endlessly producing Nightmare Energy factory.

"I wonder if you're an endless producer of Nightmare Power or is there an upper limit? So if I hit you, you gain power right? Let's test that!"

As he cried, his Nightmare Authority activated again, as his body regrew even larger, but strange! It looked overly muscular and almost inflated, like a balloon.

His face looked weird, and he seemed strangely morbidly obese now, with his fat breaking his own armor and his giant eyes popping out of his head.

"T-THIS IS…! TOO MUCH POWER! S-STOOOP!"

"Nope! Give me all you've got! Beatriz! Give him a piece of your mind too!"

"Hahaha! You look so fucking ridiculous! Die piece of shit! DIE! DIE! DIE!"

Maria and Beatriz cut through the Nightmare Demon's body constantly, bullying him to no end as they forced him to regrow anew more and more horrendously, resembling a mass of tumors made of black flesh.

Until ultimately…

"PLEASE NO MORE! NO MOREEEEEEEE!"

As he cried in horror, the amount of power he gained was simply impossible to handle, and his entire body exploded, popping like a balloon!

BOOOOMMM!!!

The Nightmare Demon exploded into countless pieces, as they rapidly were eaten by Maria, who had a gigantic harvest from all of this. Beatriz herself had also absorbed the energy, growing stronger.

Grabbing the core left behind, Maria didn't waste more time, rushing down to see her family, and using Paladin's Life Sacrifice to give them her lifeforce and fully heal them. Alma kept them alive, but they had yet to fully heal completely.

"{Paladin's Life Sacrifice}!"

FLAAASH!

A bright flash of golden light covered everyone there, as their bodies fully recovered, and they even got their Stamina and Vitality back, feeling refreshed and energetic.

"Oof, you took a lot of damage…"

And Maria, of course, took on all their damage instead, feeling slightly tired, although it wasn't much to someone like her, even less after her growth.

"Maria!"

Emeraldine and Partner were the first to run to her side, hugging her tightly and happily, despite everything, they were happy she was here to save them.

They almost ended kissing her lips, but barely held back from doing that, and only kissing her cheeks instead.

"Is everyone alright?" She asked, looking rather worried.

"Most of us yes…" Emeraldine said.

"But a few of the students died…" Partner sighed.

"It was three of them…" Lucifer muttered. "We were unable to do anything… We appeared all too far away from one another! Dammit all!"

"Who were they?" Maria asked. "Brother?"

"…" Arthur looked a bit sad. "Students we fought against in the tournament…"
