Chapter 63: show time

"Camilla!

" Augustine could no longer restrain himself, and forcefully slapped the coffee table.

"Are you using the Luther Family’s power to oppress us, the Sanchez family?!"

"Correct,"

In the face of Augustine’s sudden rage, Camilla remained unmoved, still bearing a faint smile.

"You may understand it that way."

"You, you’re not afraid that the Sanchez family will contact the media and publicize this matter?"

The anger on Augustine’s face deepened.

He abruptly stood up from the sofa, watching Camilla darkly.

"At that point, the entire city will know that you climbed onto the Luther Family and forgot your benefactor."

He sneered, the previously well-behaved uncle’s polite facade was completely torn.

"Don’t blame your uncle for not reminding you, a top-tier wealthy household like the Luther’s values their reputation the most, and the direct line absolutely can’t have any stains.

At that time, there’s no doubt that you won’t last as Mrs. Luther."

Listening to Augustine’s words, Victoria and Clara also calmed down.

"What? The consequences are that serious?"

Camilla straightened her body, panic showing on her beautiful face.

"Uncle, I was just joking earlier, don’t take it seriously."

Are you scared now?

The gaze that Victoria and Clara cast towards Camilla held a mocking tone.

Augustine sighed a breath of relief deep in his heart, a triumphant gleam flashing in his eyes.

This was the Sanchez family’s trump card, his long-considered strategy.

Just as he was about to speak, Camilla’s chilling, amused voice rang out.

"Augustine," Her lips curled slightly, her piercing eyes full of scornful laughter.

"Do you really think I would show weakness out of fear, like I just did?"

Her sudden change in attitude stumped Augustin and the other two.

The pride in their eyes turned into surprise.

"Augustine, you do not know enough about the Luther Family," Camilla’s gaze casually fell on everyone, the gorgeous face revealing a wildly indifferent smile.

"Without the head of the Luther Family’s approval, no media would dare to report negative news about the Luther Family heir."

She pushed the disconnection letter again, her beautiful eyes slightly narrowed.

"This is your last chance.

If you don’t sign now, it’s unclear whether you’ll even be able to leave the Luther Family’s premises."

Wasn’t it said that she’s taken advantage of her position to bully others?

Well, then she’ll just go all in.

"You, you," Augustin was almost choked with rage; his finger that pointed at her was trembling.

He had never thought that the little girl who used to try and please him in the Sanchez family would become so domineering.

Victoria and Clara were shocked by Camilla, their expressions seemed to see a stranger in her.

Seeing Augustin didn’t make any move, the smile on Camilla’s face faded away.

"Luke."

Her voice was icy, devoid of any emotion.

"Yes, ma’am," Luke came in with a group of more than ten well-built mercenaries, their faces cold.

The atmosphere in the living room became ominous in an instant.

Victoria nervously swallowed her saliva.

"Ok, ok, I’ll sign."

Augustin gritted his teeth in anger, but there was nothing he could do.

Angrily, he signed his name on the letter of severance.

When Camilla put away the letter, he spoke quietly.

"See Mr. Sanchez and Mrs. Sanchez out."

"Yes, ma’am," Luke looked at Augustin solemnly.

"Mr. Sanchez, Mrs. Sanchez, please--" Augustine glared at Camilla and turned to leave.

Victoria, her eyes full of resentment, cursed Camilla in her heart.

"I forgot to tell you that I will soon become the daughter-in-law of the Luna Family, and the Sanchez family will rise along with it,"

Clara’s eyes were filled with anger.

As she was about to leave, she turned to Camilla and said through gritted teeth.

"When the time comes, don’t you regret it!!"

She would find a way to have Mrs. Luna takes her to Master Luther’s banquet.

Then, she would expose Camilla’s true colors in front of everyone.

Regret? The only thing she regretted was being bad at judging people in her past life.

Camilla elegantly sipped the tea in front of him, looking at Clara lifting his lips.

"Long live your marriage with Roman, and may your descendants be plentiful."

Clara snorted coldly, turned around, and left.

At this moment, she didn’t quite understand the deeper meaning in Camilla’s words. --

Luther’s Corporation.

"President Luther," Ramsey, with a stern face, walked in.

"Something’s happening with the Luna Family."

"I originally planned to stay in the Luna Family for a few more days."

Sinclair’s narrowed eyes slightly squint, a hint of gloom emerging from his indifferent gaze.

"Apparently, there is no need for that now."

As though resonating with his mood, the weather outside gradually darkens.

Dark clouds are rolling in, hinting at an impending storm.

"I’ll prepare right away."

Ramsey instantly understood and said sternly.

"Also, inform Calvin and Taylor."

Sinclair ordered in a cold voice.

"Meet at the usual spot, 8 PM."

If someone wants Camilla to check the medical condition, there will be a cost.

A hint of laughter flashed through Ramsey’s eyes.

"Yes!"

He was keen to see who used the Luna Family as their scapegoat.

Sinclair’s narrow eyes slowly congealed.

Anyone who had the audacity to interrupt his dinner with Camilla deserved nothing but death!

With that thought in mind, an even colder aura began to radiate from him.

The sky slowly began to darken.

The blowing wind carried with it a hint of moisture.

The distant rumbling of thunder echoed through the clouds now and then.

Camilla had already asked Aunt Naomi, knowing that Sinclair’s mood would be volatile on rainy nights.

A flash of worry glinted in her eyes.

Why hasn’t Sinclair come back yet?

Just as this thought crossed her mind, her phone’s ringtone sounded.

"Camilla," Sinclair exhaled a puff of smoke, the handsome face carrying an icy look, yet the voice was very tender.

"I have some matters to attend to.

You should have dinner by yourself and rest early. There’s no need to wait for me."

"Will it take long?"

Looking at the weather outside,Camilla’s eyebrows are slightly knitted in concern.

"The weather looks like it’s about to rain."

"Mmm,"

Sinclair’s temper, aggravated by the rain outside, felt as if it was being soothed by a gentle hand.

"But, I’ll be back as soon as I can."

"Sweetheart," Camilla had a hunch that whatever Sinclair was handling was not as simple as he made it out to be.

She felt a bit unsettled. "It’s not something dangerous, is it?"

"Don’t worry," Sinclair’s gaze into the rear-view mirror deepened, his slender and ink-dark eyes becoming more profound.

"There’s no danger."

He did not lie to Camilla.

The entire plan of the Luna Family was under his control.

Now, he just needed to close the net.

"Okay," Camilla knew that whatever Sinclair decided to keep from her, he wouldn’t tell her.

"Then I’ll wait for you at home."

"Okay,"

Sinclair hooked his lips.

After hanging up the phone, A black Maybach rushed out at a breakneck speed.

"Sinclair has come out!"

Not far away, the intercoms in a dozen cars all rang.

"He’s the only one in the car."

"All of you, keep your spirits up.

We absolutely can’t lose him!"

"Received!"

Several different types of vehicles in different locations started and followed the black Maybach.

The smile on Sinclair’s lips didn’t change but his eyes betrayed a murderous intent.

It seemed like a worthy investment.

The car was speeding towards the outskirts of town.

The surrounding vehicles were becoming fewer and fewer.

"Boss," Within the walkie-talkie, a man’s voice filled with doubt emerged.

"We are near the foot of the mountain, why would Sinclair drive there alone, could it be a trap?"

"Relax," A gloomy male voice snorted.

"The plan was only set up today, there’s no way he could detect it."

He glanced around, a trace of ruthlessness flickered in his eyes.

"There aren’t many cars here, speed up, surround him!!"

"Yes!"

A dozen cars accelerated all at once, brazenly closing in on Sinclair.

Can’t they hold back any longer? Sinclair glanced at the rearview mirror and curved his lips.

At this moment, the phone beeped.

"Sinclair," Calvin’s voice, innately tinged with a hint of mirth, resonated.

"Taylor and I have already reached the foot of the mountain.

When will you arrive?"

"Ten minutes," Sinclair pressed the accelerator to the floor, speaking slowly.

"Start the car, wait for me."

"What did Sinclair say?"

Taylor looked at Calvin.

"He said for us to start the car, he will arrive soon," Calvin, seated in the driver’s seat, creased his delicate eyebrows.

"Taylor, something feels off to me."

His hand tapped on the steering wheel, lost in thought.

"Why would Sinclair, freshly married, leave his young wife at home to call us out for a car race?"

"Don’t worry, Taylor’s eyes squinted slightly, revealing an intrigued smile.

"We will know soon."

In the middle of his words, he started the car, ready to take off at any moment.

Calvin hadn’t finished his cigarette when he saw the fast-approaching Maybach in the rearview mirror. "It’s here."

The moment he spoke, his brows furrowed.

"What’s wrong?

Why are there so many cars following behind us?"

Taylor instantly discerned the purpose of those vehicles, a hint of resignation tugging at the corner of his lip.

"Calvin, let’s go."

He stepped on the accelerator, the black Lamborghini taking the lead towards the mountain road.

Calvin reacted as well, immediately stepping on the accelerator.

Damn it!

He was screwed over again by that cunning Sinclair!

He sure reacted quickly.

Sinclair’s thin lips tightened into a smirk, a flicker of amusement apparent in his eyes.

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

Three cars in a succession entered the mountain road, heading towards the summit.

"Boss, they headed for the mountain!"

"Don’t worry, it’s the only way up the mountain, he can’t escape."

The man’s voice carried a touch of mockery.

"Besides, it is more convenient to kill in the rainy wilderness and hills.

Sinclair sure knows how to pick his own grave."

"What about the two cars that suddenly showed up?"

"As long as they’re with Sinclair, they’re just unlucky."

The man’s voice is cold.

"Deal with them together, absolutely no hidden dangers can be left!!"

"Sinclair," Calvin swiftly turned the steering wheel, glancing at the rear-view mirror and talking on the phone.

"You do really consider us outsiders, even when being pursued, you’re still shouting out to us to join?"

It seemed like a complaint, but a playful smile was clear in his slightly upturned peach blossom eyes.

"I just thought you would be too bored."

Sinclair replied with an indifferent expression. "No need to thank me."

Calvin: .... Taylor always had a faint smile on his face.

It seems like there will be an interesting show coming up.
