Chapter 295: Telling Camila the truth

"Feels amazing,"

Camilla’s beautiful eyes narrowed slightly, every pore in her body tingling with pleasure.

"Absolutely divine."

She wasn’t exaggerating—it was the honest truth.

"Glad you’re enjoying it,"

Sinclair’s lips curved into a smirk as he applied slightly more pressure, his skilled fingers kneading the delicate curve of her waist.

His dark, fathomless eyes gleamed with an intensity that hinted at something deeper.

His wife truly had all the right curves in all the right places.

Time seemed to slow as the minutes ticked by.

Gradually, the soreness in Camilla’s body melted away.

She turned her head slightly, casting a soft, appreciative smile at the man behind her.

"I had no idea my husband had such talented hands."

Sinclair paused, lifting his gaze to meet hers with a slow, knowing smirk.

"There’s more to my skills than you think."

His voice, low and husky, carried a promise that sent a shiver down her spine.

At that moment, Camilla didn’t overthink it at all.

"Oh?

" she asked curiously.

"What else is there?"

Sinclair didn’t respond. Instead, his elegant, slender fingers trailed downward.

A light touch, a slow tease, a lingering caress.

Camilla felt an overwhelming tingling sensation spread through every inch of her body.

"Sweetheart—"

She turned her head with a playful glare at the man whose striking, refined features made him seem as untouchable as a snow-capped peak.

"We still have to go to the Taylor family!!"

"No rush," The man’s narrow, dark eyes curved into a dangerously alluring arc, his voice low and husky with indulgence.

"It’s still early."

Calvin cupped the side of her face with his other hand, leaning in to capture her lips in a deep kiss.

Soon enough, Camilla learned exactly what he meant by "still early."

Two hours later, Sinclair carried Camilla downstairs in his arms and settled her at the dining table.

A neat set of teeth marks stood out prominently on his prominent, alluring Adam’s apple.

Yet he seemed utterly unbothered, making no attempt to conceal it as he dutifully fed the woman nestled in his embrace.

Camilla was so thoroughly exhausted she couldn’t even lift a finger.

She let Sinclair carefully cool each bite before bringing it to her lips, all the while silently plotting how to get back at the man who had drained every ounce of her energy.

After the meal, the two headed to the Taylor family residence.

During the drive, Camilla suddenly remembered Tiffany’s recent collaboration with NovelFire International Entertainment and immediately dialed her number to check in.

Sinclair hesitated, as if about to say something, but ultimately remained silent.

His elegant, slender fingers continued to gently stroke his wife’s silken hair.

The call connected almost instantly.

"Camilla!"

Tiffany’s voice, as lively as ever, rang through the receiver.

"You and the mighty Sinclair are back from N City?"

"Yeah, we got back last night," Camilla replied, her tone and expression instantly softening with the easy familiarity of friendship.

"And what about you?

How did the negotiations with NovelFire International Films go?"

There was a sudden silence on Tiffany’s end, as if she was at a loss for words.

"What’s wrong?"

Camilla, sensing her friend’s unease, sat up straight in Sinclair’s arms.

"Did something happen?"

"N-no, nothing serious.

The deal just fell through, that’s all."

Tiffany quickly tried to steer the conversation elsewhere.

"What about you?

Was the hot spring resort fun?

Didn’t you say you’d take me next time—"

Camilla knew her friend too well—the more she dodged the question, the more something was clearly wrong.

"Fanny, did someone give you a hard time?"

She gently cut Tiffany off, her voice soft but insistent.

"If you don’t tell me, I’ll call Marie myself and demand answers."

Tiffany sighed.

She should’ve known she couldn’t hide anything from Camilla—she knew her too well.

"You—"

She hesitated, then lowered her voice.

"Is anyone around you right now?"

"Anyone else there?"

Camilla narrowed her beautiful eyes slightly.

She knew Fanny wouldn’t ask this unless she wanted to discuss something private.

Until Fanny gave permission, it wouldn’t be appropriate for Sweetheart to listen in.

"Give me a moment."

"Okay,"

Tiffany replied obediently, waiting quietly on the other end.

Camilla muted the call before turning to her husband’s face that was mere inches away.

"Sweetheart—"

"What is it?"

Though Sinclair hadn’t been paying attention to Tiffany’s words, his wife’s demeanor told him everything. His dark eyes narrowed slightly.

"Need me to step away?"

Wrapping her arms around his neck, Camilla nodded.

"Camilla," Sinclair’s thin lips curved slightly as his inscrutable dark eyes gazed at his delicate wife.

"You seem far closer to this woman than you are to me."

"Don’t be silly," Camilla murmured, pressing a soft kiss to the corner of his lips.

She coaxed him gently before adding in a sweet, pleading tone,

"Husband—"

"Darling—"

Sinclair’s heart melted instantly.

Calvin leaned down and brushed his lips against hers, her plush mouth glistening like dew-kissed petals.

"Fine."

Sinclair retrieved the noise-canceling headphones tucked beneath the armrest and slipped them over his ears.

His tall, well-built frame reclined against the seat, feigning sleep—though his strong, sculpted arm remained firmly wrapped around Camilla’s slender waist.

The lowered car window aligned perfectly with the sharp angle of his Adam’s apple.

Bathed in sunlight, his chiseled features looked almost too flawless to be real.

Camilla knew just how effective those headphones were at blocking sound.

She picked up her phone again.

"Alright, now tell me what’s going on."

Without hesitation, Tiffany spoke up this time. "Camilla, do you remember Jayden?"

"Jayden?"

Camilla’s impression of this man was nothing short of unforgettable.

Back then, he had relentlessly pursued Fanny, scheming to follow her everywhere and appearing at every possible occasion.

It had practically crossed the line into harassment.

She had even accompanied Fanny to confront him, but it barely made a difference.

Fortunately, he graduated and left the school not long after, finally putting an end to Fanny’s nightmare.

Since then, they haven’t heard a single thing about him.

"I remember.

Why bring him up all of a sudden?"

"Jayden’s now a somewhat well-known director under NovelFire International Film Company," Tiffany said calmly, recounting everything that had happened at T and G Club in detail.

Getting her drunk?

Drugging her?

Kidnapping?

With every word Tiffany spoke, Camilla’s grip on her phone tightened until her knuckles turned white.

"That bastard!!"

Before Tiffany could finish, Camilla couldn’t help but grit her teeth, her voice trembling with fury.

"I swear I’ll make him pay for this!!"

Her delicate yet icy features were etched with a chilling coldness, enough to freeze the air around her.

"An, did he... did he hurt you?

And where are you now?"

Her tone was tense, barely masking the anxiety beneath.

She knew Tiffany all too well—such a sweet, innocent girl.

Even after years of dating Arlo, Tiffany had never crossed that line. If that scumbag Jayden had really violated her, Camilla would have skinned him alive.

"Camilla, don’t worry, he didn’t touch me," Tiffany quickly reassured her, sensing her friend’s distress.

"It was Calvin who saved me."

"Calvin?"

Camilla’s beautiful eyes narrowed instantly.

"You guys..."

As a doctor, she knew exactly how certain medications worked.

"Yeah," Tiffany’s voice was tinged with dejection.

"Calvin saved me out of kindness, and I ended up forcing myself on him."

She gave Camilla a brief rundown of what had happened.

Camilla remained silent. She understood perfectly.

With someone like Calvin, if he hadn’t been willing, he could’ve thrown Fany off him even if she’d climbed onto his lap.

For things to have gone that far, he must have been a willing participant.

But even though it was Calvin, she couldn’t shake the feeling that her precious cabbage had been trampled by some rogue boar.
