...Realizing that she would be cornered eventually, Jazmine Harrison smiled at him and put forward the files before he could make a move. "Here, President Crowne, I think we should sit down and discuss the preposition I brought." Her smile was calm and very professional. She wouldn’t lose her cool in front of him.

Sebastian Crowne stopped, inches away from her. His smile never left as he grabbed the files, carelessly flipped through the pages. He glanced at her. "Follow me."

Jazmine Harrison followed him to the seat in front of the desk. She pushed the events of the last night out of her mind. Instead, in her mind, she recited the careful words she had planned for the preposition. Even though they were on good terms, the business involved the welfare of the whole company. Jazmine understood that he couldn’t accept her proposal just because of personal relationships.

Keeping that in mind, Jazmine opened her mouth. "President Crowne, as we know your company has been—" She was halted midway when she saw him picking up a pen. While still standing, he threw the files on the table and guided the pen to the papers.

"What are you doing?"

"Signing." Sebastian looked at her as if she was the one who was not acting normally. "Isn’t it where I must sign? Or somewhere else?" He flipped through some pages. "Oh, there is another place here." He swiftly signed in his beautiful writing.

Jazmine: "..."

"Shouldn’t you, um, perhaps first read the documents?" That was only proper. "And after then, following the normal procedure, we should negotiate the terms?" Jazmine felt weird. Watching him sign away at all the places without even blinking. This was surreal. To expect something like that from the great ’Devil’ was an impossibility.

"Waste of time." He replied overtly.

Jazmine: "..."

What if I’m taking advantage of you in the contract?

Sebastian Crowne flashed her a blinding smile. "You can take advantage of me however you want sweetheart. I’m all yours to be taken advantage of for an eternity."

Jazmine: "..."

"Don’t make such a face. It makes me want to kiss you."

Jazmine: "...."

In a lavish car, a woman wearing an eye-catching red dress was sitting. She was middle-aged but age had been harmless to her. She still looked striking for her age. There was not a single wrinkle on her fair skin. There was a powerful charm about her that could mesmerize anyone. Huge eyeglasses covered half of her face. The door of the car was opened by a dressed chauffeur. But the woman didn’t step out.

A man rushed hurriedly to the car.

"Madam Clara! Madam Clara!"

"What is it little Wei? Why did you call me in such urgency? Did you know I had three appointments today? I have to attend the golden jubilee, a high-end gala, and an anniversary banquet of Mr. and Mrs. Hastings’ eldest son in the evening." Suddenly, Madam Clara looked sad as if reminded of something. Her eyes looked wistful. "I’m so envious of them. Their son got married last year. They are expecting a grandchild. It’s not even just them. All my friends’ eldest sons are married. They are already asking me to give them a date for my son’s engagement." She sighed. "I’m always lying that he already has someone he’s seeing. If I don’t tell them that, they’ll try all means to set their daughters up with my Sebastian."

"Madam Clara, what I’m going to tell you will make you dance in joy and cancel all those appointments in an instant. You will no longer need to lie to those socialites."

"Little Wei, don’t create suspense. Just tell me what it is. You don’t want to burden this old woman’s heart." Though she said that, with her beautiful and young-looking face, the statement sounded quite contradictory.

"It’s Jazmine, she has returned! The other day Sebestian and Elias brought her to my restaurant." He paused, considerately giving Madam Clara some time to absorb the shock. "Madam, Sebestianwas with her all the time. Only if he had slipped away a little, I would have brought her to you for sure."

Madam Clara took off her sunglasses. Her beautiful eyes revealed. She looked totally stunned. "Are you sure it was her?"

"Yes, Madam. I can never forget Jazmine’s mesmerizing green eyes. You know, her eyes are very unique. Besides, there is always a unique charm in her presence. You used to say that yourself. She and Sebastian, they look perfect together. Like they are made for each other. No other woman can complement our Sebastian like our Jazmine. There is no way I would mistake someone else for her."

Clara leaned back into her chair and fell into silence as if the news had taken all of her energy. Then, the next second, her eyes flashed with a fire of anger and burning fury. Uncle Wei shuddered.

What was happening? Madam was supposed to bloom with happiness. Not turn into a devil!

"Elias Crownie! How dare you not tell me! Is your brother more dear to you than your mother?"

It was always poor Elias who would be dragged into it. Uncle Wei felt pity in his heart for little Elias. But some sacrifices were inevitable for a greater good. If Sebastian Crowne didn’t get his wife, the world would continue to suffer under his tyranny. Thinking that, Uncle Wei sighed in resignation.

You died for a good cause, little Elias.

Jazmine Harrison sighed. "So you signed the papers so quickly just because I could eat breakfast with you?" She glanced at Sebastian Crowne, who was very expertly putting different things on her plate. Their office kitchen had already cooked everything before Jazmine arrived. "You had it all already prepared."

"Silence, Jazzy. Talking during eating is a bad habit."

Jazmine: "..."

"I told you not to make that face. Or do you want me to—"

"I’m not hungry. I had breakfast before coming here." Jazmine quickly said before he could say his ’nonsense’. The nonsense would have a ridiculous effect on her.

"I can’t agree." Sebastian shook his head. "You are too skinny. It already took a toll on you last night. If you don’t eat properly and grow a little, how are you going to take me after we get married?"
