Among them all, Aka had the best mentality. Back in the day, everyone thought she and Zoel Cohen wouldn’t make it, but she turned out to be more nonchalant than a gent. She skipped right over the torturous relationship phase and jumped straight into the shameless lovey-dovey part. Could such a person ever feel unhappy?
“Yeah, I’m not sure about the specifics. I’ll probe into it when we meet tomorrow.”
By inviting Kiara, Zoel Cohen was definitely planning to use Kiara’s relationship with Aka to get some inside information. After all, his girlfriend was feeling down because she couldn’t come, and she didn’t even tell him about it. Mr. Zoel was anxious and scratching his heart out.
“Tsk tsk, this kid finally got his comeuppance,” Mario Yuno whistled. Mr. Zoel was really going all out to pamper his girlfriend.
“Whistling this late at night? Did the wind whistle through the pee pot?” Kiara pushed him away with disgust.
“Hurry up and take off that thing on your face; it’s getting in the way of my business!”
“…What exactly are you planning to do?”
Why is he looking at her with such greed in his eyes? Kiara had a foreboding feeling.
“Whatever needs to be done will be done. Since fishing is a seated activity, a bit of warm-up exercise for the two of us beforehand won’t affect you. Hurry up and take that thing off your face–or fine, I’ll help you!”
Someone couldn’t wait and actually started to tear off her facial mask himself.
“Ah! You household-wrecking Gentlemen White, that’s a hundred bucks per piece! I just put it on for a few minutes!”
Kiara wanted to salvage her precious facial mask, but before she could touch it, she saw him wave his hand, and it fell to the floor.
Great, not only was the precious facial mask wasted, but now the floor was dirty too!
“You’re sleeping on the floor!” Kiara was so angry she wanted to kick him off the bed, but Mario Yuno came over with a snicker.
“Wife, I am willing to atone for my mistakes with labor. It’s only 100 bucks. Brother has something more valuable than that–do you want to give it a try…”
Kiara suddenly thought that this guy shouldn’t be called Mario Yuno; changing his name to Moji Yuno would be more fitting. Really, he’s brazenly despicable–so shameless!
…
How exactly Camden compensated for his labor in throwing away Kiara’s precious facial mask was not worth detailing. By the next night, everyone arrived at the Pier as agreed upon, and from afar, Mr. Zoel could see the vixen Moji Yuno carrying two cases of beer.
“I have alcohol on my boat, why are you bringing that stuff?” Zoel Cohen asked Mario Yuno.
Camden really wanted to say it was his wife coming up with creative ways to torture him as punishment for his lack of restraint.
But in front of so many people, Camden still prioritized his pride and wouldn’t admit it.
“My wife said this is good to drink!”
“…A 4-yuan domestic beer is good to drink?” Mr. Zoel’s look seemed to ask, ‘Are you freaking kidding me, thinking I haven’t seen the City Market?’
“You wasteful business man, all you know is to worship foreign stuff and ignore our own. Do you think a 4-yuan domestic beer is that cheap? It’s a high-quality local product, and it tastes great! At home, I usually drink the kind that costs just over a yuan; 4 yuan is already quite good.”
“Fine, you’ll be in charge of supporting domestic products on board later; the rest of us will stick to our foreign worship. Kiara, I brought some fine wine today; we’ll have that–those two cases are yours to deal with!”
Mario Yuno hummed and ignored him, striding onto the boat. The yacht, although a private one and only about 30 meters long and 10 meters wide, wasn’t big by yacht standards, but it was well equipped. The deck had tables and chairs set up along with a barbecue grill, and the lighting was quite poetic.
Mr. Zoel wanted to bring some musicians on board to set the mood, but considering the presence of Youngest Brother of Yuno Family, and his questionable taste, there was no telling what he might end up doing. It wasn’t impossible for Youngest, with his tendencies, to make a violinist play Folk Opera!
Wendy was held in her mother’s arms, and, dressed in a Goku onesie, she unexpectedly matched with the Beautiful Lady, which was quite amusing to see.
“What’s wrong with Wendy’s face?” Aka, who had been out of it the whole time, only noticed the little “Goku” in Mrs. Kiara’s arms had a face full of red rash after getting on the boat and seeing them under the light. There was even a fighter-like headband tied around her head, and the Beautiful Lady had one on as well.
“It’s just a harmless childhood rash, no big deal. The redness is already lighter than yesterday, and it will fade away day by day.”
Kiara handed Wendy over to Mario Yuno, asking him to take the child around the boat for a stroll. Wendy maintained a high level of curiosity about everything she hadn’t seen before, not blinking her large eyes even once.
The captain started the journey, and the yacht moved smoothly toward the designated fishing spot. The night sea was adorned with beautiful colors from the boat’s lights, and the same scenery evoked different feelings in different people. Wendy followed Mario Yuno here and there; he initially carried her but eventually sat her on his shoulders, only hearing Wendy’s excited squeals.
Zoel Cohen was adjusting the fishing rods on the first deck, the boat’s sound drowning out the voices of Kiara and Aka from the upper deck. He looked up repeatedly only to find that his angle didn’t allow him to see them.
Whether Kiara would figure out what was bothering Aka was uncertain, but whenever she wasn’t happy, Mr. Zoel felt that no amount of money made sense.
When he couldn’t see Aka after a while, he only saw that annoying Youngest Brother of Yuno Family’s big face.
Mario Yuno, waving the chubby little hand of Wendy who was riding on his neck, waved to Zoel Cohen, hi~ look over here, boy on the opposite side~
Mr. Zoel’s temple throbbed a couple of times; he had clearly only invited Kiara, so how did that one from above end up coming along?
Mario Yuno came down holding his daughter, placing Wendy in the stroller. He then leaned against the railing next to Mr. Zoel, with his back to the sea.
“Why the long face, you get hemorrhoids or something?”
“Did you finish those two cases of beer? Got punished by Emma Clark again?” Zoel Cohen retorted.
“With my status in the family, how could I possibly be punished?”
“Haha!”
Mario Yuno looked in the direction of the laughter, where Wendy was blinking her innocent large eyes. People really just thought she was a happy baby, it’s all just a coincidence!
“Hear that? Wendy is laughing at you! Come on, let Godfather hold you!” Mr. Zoel reached out to hold Wendy but Wendy slapped his face with her hand.
Shameless rejection!
Godfather looks so haggard today, don’t like!
“Haha!” This time it was Mario Yuno’s turn to gloat.
Mr. Zoel didn’t have the energy to argue with him anymore, staring at the sea without even the desire to fish.
“Did you make her angry? Or did your past problematic relationships come knocking, and Aka found out?” Mario Yuno asked.
“Cut them off a long time ago. I’m like mineral water now–no, I should say like distilled water, that pure!”
Being decent is still important. He had promised Aka there wouldn’t be a third person, and he was sticking to it.
“If you didn’t upset Aka then why do you look like you’ve just come back from a funeral?” Mario Yuno could tell at just a glance that Aka was weighed down with heavy thoughts.
“Nonsense! If I knew why, would I need to bring over your witch of a wife?”
