Rebirth of the Villainous Female Boss -
Chapter 1375 - Chapter 1375 Chapter 1347 The Truth Is So Cruel
Chapter 1375: Chapter 1347: The Truth Is So Cruel Chapter 1375: Chapter 1347: The Truth Is So Cruel Arlong violently beat up the guy who tried to hit Kiara; the guy, beaten back step by step, accidentally fell and ate dirt.
However, just at that moment, an accident happened.
A photo fluttered out from the man’s pocket.
He must have left one behind while taking out the photos earlier, and coincidentally a gust of wind blew at that time, sweeping the photo towards Yena Jim’s direction.
The person who dropped the photo was caught off-guard, and so was the wind’s sudden arrival.
Everyone’s attention was on those who were being beaten, and by the time Kiara saw the photo drifting towards Flora Jim, it was already too late to try to snatch it back.
In that second, Yena Jim bent down and picked up the photo, Flora Jim instinctively opened her mouth in shock behind her, Kiara also widened her eyes, while Edward Wheeler could only look up at the sky helplessly. He noticed early, but was too far away and couldn’t make it in time, only able to vent his frustration with a punch, hitting the person closest to him right in the eye!
A second can be very short, but it can also feel incredibly long. For Flora Jim, that second was a long, agonizing Hell. If possible, she would use everything to prevent what was about to happen in that second.
But miracles don’t happen, a second will eventually pass, and what has to be seen cannot be avoided.
Yena Jim picked up the photo and saw the scene depicted in it.
To her utmost respect, her sister was kneeling between two men–
“Ahhh!!!!!” The young girl let out a shrill scream.
“Sis, this isn’t you, tell me it’s not you!”
“Yayaka, don’t look, don’t look…” Flora Jim knelt helplessly on the ground, her face streaming with tears.
Oh, heaven, is there really reincarnation, is there really karma!
She knew she had done wrong, and if there truly was retribution to be faced, she wished it would only strike her, not her sister, why, why!
“It’s not you, it’s not you, it’s not you…” Yayaka, stimulated, repeated several denials. She looked at her sister kneeling on the ground, covering her face and weeping, then at the photo in her hand, and suddenly everything became clear to her.
“Is it because of me! It’s because of me! If I hadn’t gotten sick, you wouldn’t have–wouldn’t have–” The young girl was extremely distraught, taking two steps back, she tore the photo in her hand into two, “None of this is real! I’m just a walking disaster, I’ve dragged you down!”
She tore the photo to shreds, but the things pictured had been deeply branded into her soul, becoming a wound that couldn’t heal.
Suddenly, Yayaka spat out a mouthful of blood in a fit of rage.
“Yayaka!” Flora Jim rushed over to hold her sister, while Arlong and Edward Wheeler stopped fighting upon seeing this. Arlong hurried over to check on Yayaka, while Edward Wheeler kicked the few guys who had been knocked down.
“You better wait quietly for the cops to come, anyone who dares to run will get their legs broken!”
“Yayaka!” Flora Jim held her sister, crying her voice hoarse.
“It’s all my fault, sis, I’m so sorry…”
“Stop talking, quickly, get the child into my car, and rush to the hospital!”
Kiara calculated that there was a large hospital nearby, less than a 5-minute drive away, which should be faster than calling an ambulance.
Arlong bent down to pick up Yayaka, but as he did so, he saw the two halves of the photo on the ground.
Arlong’s pupils suddenly dilated, this, this, this…!!!
He looked towards Flora Jim in disbelief. The girl he considered purest, after dating for so long, they had only held hands. He never dared even to kiss her, for fear of offending the girl in his heart, yet she had actually, actually…!!!
Such explicit content was even more intense than what Arlong had secretly watched in a video hall after skipping school. The ‘Ava Goddess’ he cherished so much, whom he couldn’t bear to disrespect, was shamelessly kneeling in front of other men, and not just one…
Who can accept that their treasure is someone else’s plaything? Such a blow made Arlong stagger; had it not been for holding someone in his arms, he might have fainted from shock as well.
Kiara witnessed this scene, feeling an indescribable irritation in her heart.
She had come in person precisely to minimize the damage.
But human calculations are no match for fate, and she hadn’t expected that right when things were about to be resolved, this group of people would suddenly appear out of nowhere.
In the most direct and cruel manner, they shattered the innocence of a young girl as well as her brother’s first love.
This sense of impotent anger left Mrs. Kiara with no outlet, and she could only vent her wrath on the people on the ground, telling Mario Yuno, “Don’t let these people get away. Rough them up until the police arrive! Find out who sent them and tell me!”
Mrs. Kiara would never let the mastermind behind the scenes off the hook.
Not just for her brother but also for this poor little girl whom she had only met once.
Flora Jim knelt on the ground, her carefully hidden secrets collapsing in that very moment, not only did her sister see, he saw too, it was all over, everything was over…
“If you trust me, stand up, keep calm, don’t do anything extreme,” Kiara said as she pressed on Flora Jim’s shoulder, helping her to her feet.
“It’s over, it’s all over for me… This is retribution, all retribution… I should pay the price for my actions, but why my sister… why…”
Flora Jim’s eyes were lifeless as she kept repeating the same sentence.
Having received a massive psychological blow, Kiara employed some professional techniques to soothe her emotions, coaxing her into the car.
“Don’t be afraid, I’ll take care of your sister’s emotions,” Kiara said as she steadied Flora Jim a little and held her hand.
“It’s no use, she saw everything, she saw it all…” Flora Jim sobbed.
“It does work, I’m a psychologist, I can erase your sister’s memory.”
“Erase?” Flora Jim looked at Kiara blankly, and Kiara nodded.
“My expertise can help you.”
Everything has two sides. When arriving, Kiara had thought that her profession might come into play if the negotiations broke down, yet she never imagined that in the end, it would be used in such a way.
The intersecting complexities of life are not so easily explained away by simply saying you made a mistake and you deserve the consequences. Flora Jim’s actions meant her end was inevitable, but her sister was innocent.
Kiara was moved by compassion, while Arlong remained silent, his expression frozen throughout.
All along the way, he kept thinking of one thing.
This is a dream.
This has to be a dream.
None of this is real.
How could that little girl, who would blush just speaking with him, do something like this?
Why, just why…
Carrying such complex emotions, Arlong and the others arrived at the Hospital, where Yayaka was rushed to emergency for an examination. After examining her, the doctors said it was nothing more than a severe case of distress and that there was no serious issue. As they provided emergency care, a dispirited Arlong found Flora Jim, who was with Kiara.
“Tell me it was all fake,” he said.
Even though he had seen it all with his own eyes, he still refused to give up and wanted to deceive himself. Arlong told himself that as long as she said it was all fake, he would treat it as such.
“It’s real, it’s all real, Arlong I am not a good woman, you’ve seen it all, I am not worthy of you, I’m sorry I lied to you…”
Flora Jim sobbed, covering her face, and Draco Clark staggered back, feeling as if his world had collapsed.
