About half an hour later, the woman returned, leading a girl with a long braid. She looked honest, dressed in a checked short-sleeved shirt and black trousers, and was of average, very ordinary looks typical of a village girl.

"This is my younger sister. I’m Zhang Xue, she’s Zhang Qian. She went to school for two or three years, so she can read. She used to herd cattle back home, but after I was married off to the city, our parents had an accident a couple of years ago, and she had nowhere to go, so I brought her to the city," Zhang Xue briefly introduced her family situation.

Shen Mianmian and Lu Siyuan exchanged glances, and seeing that he had no objections, she then said to Zhang Xue, "Then have her come over tomorrow! Let’s try it out for a couple of days."

Upon hearing this, Zhang Xue’s face broke into a smile, then, still apprehensive, she looked towards Dajun, who she had always thought was the boss, worried that a young girl like Shen Mianmian didn’t have the final say.

This time, Dajun didn’t look at Shen Mianmian but instead said to Zhang Xue, "She’s my sister, the shop affairs are under her charge. If she says it’s fine, then it’s fine."
