Cheng Xining threatened, "If you dare to tow my car, I’ll make sure you lose your job."

Cheng Xining humphed, "Just you wait, I’ll settle the score with you all later."

"We’re waiting," said Yang Xiaoxi cheerfully, taking Shen Mianmian to their car, "This Cheng Xining, always causing unnecessary trouble, has brought shame to the Cheng Family over the years."

Shen Mianmian hinted, "Maybe, she just feels that in this world, there’s no one left worth saving face for."

Originally, the scene where the first female lead slaps the second female lead was supposed to be faked, but the results weren’t very convincing. Wang Yaman felt it wasn’t realistic enough and suggested they go for a real slap.

"Director, this fake slap looks too artificial. I think a real slap would be more appropriate," she said.

The director frowned, contemplating the suggestion. Shen Mianmian wasn’t just anybody, and he had already informed her the slapping was going to be simulated. Now, if they were to switch to a real slap, it was uncertain if Shen Mianmian would agree to it.

However, a real slap could indeed be more convincing.

Thus, the director inquired about Shen Mianmian’s thoughts, "Mianmian, would you accept a real slap for this scene?"

Shen Mianmian reviewed the footage and recognized that indeed, a real slap would yield a more visually impactful effect.

Before she could answer, Wang Yaman said, "Miss Shen is an actress, so naturally she knows that the most important thing is the film. She wouldn’t refuse this small sacrifice for the sake of authenticity. We always go for real punches when filming to make it look genuine; there’s no faking."

Shen Mianmian snorted coldly and retorted, "Then when you film a death scene, do you have to actually die, and if it’s a gunshot scene, do you have to be really shot?"

"You’re twisting the argument," Wang Yaman responded with disdain. "Miss Shen, if you’re unwilling, then forget it. There’s no need to make excuses. I’ve seen plenty of actors who use body doubles because they’re afraid of getting hit during shooting. We won’t miss you if you’re one of them."
