Chapter 219: Chapter 219: Sakura Dance
Because Taotao was still sleeping, she couldn’t stay inside for too long; after an hour inside, she would come out once, which, under a time ratio of one to ten, actually amounted to just about a dozen minutes or so.
When she came out again, shouts from Conghua could be heard outside.
Jian Zhiqin gave Conghua a kick, "Stay inside the house, don’t yell about."
Conghua whimpered, obediently twisted its chubby butt around, and ran into a room inside; that room wasn’t occupied by people but housed a dog. Since Conghua had grown up, it wasn’t allowed to live in Qin Xiangnuan’s room anymore, mainly because Conghua sometimes shed its fur, and Qin Xiangnuan didn’t like it much, so it was sent to an empty room where its food bowl was.
With a snap, Jian Zhiqin closed the door and then patted her little hands.
Alright, come in everyone, the dog has been locked away.
Outside, little radish heads were filing in one after the other, each of them around eight or nine years old, with boys and girls among them. However, compared to the rural children, these kids looked much cleaner and more fashionable.
Ba Yi School could actually be considered an elite school, and the best-facilitated in the city is Bayi Primary School. It should be what we now call a noble school, and students who can study there usually come from not-so-bad family backgrounds. Third Ba Yi School is comparable to Bayi Primary and isn’t easy to get into, whereas Bayi Primary School has somewhat poorer facilities compared to the other two, but it is valued for its still decent teaching quality.
Actually, given The Jians’ family background, getting into Primary One or Three wouldn’t be a problem at all, but Bayi Primary School was closest to The Jians’ house, so that’s where Jian Zhiqin ended up. Of course, little friend Taotao would also be a future pupil of Bayi Primary School.
Sister, sister... we’re all here, Jian Zhiqin called out loudly, excited and agitated.
Qin Xiangnuan heard the voices and quickly came out of the system to check on Taotao first. The little chubby one had caught a cold recently and hadn’t gone to school; if woken up by the noise, he might cry again. She tucked Taotao in and then went out, closing the door behind her and placing her finger to her lips.
"Shh, keep your voice down, Taotao is asleep."
Jian Zhiqin quickly stuck out her tongue and rushed over to grab onto Qin Xiangming’s sleeve.
"Sister, look, these are our classmates, everyone’s come. Who do you want to pick for the dance?"
Qin Xiangnuan sized them up one by one; dozens of children all looked up with innocent and hopeful eyes. Honestly, it was difficult for her to choose; whoever was eventually left out would feel sad.
She also counted roughly, about thirty students in all, enough for a dance.
She gently exhaled a breath of turbid air from her lungs; the kids were all pretty nervous, and it made her feel nervous as well.
"Everyone come join in, the more people we have for this dance, the better," she smiled, her bright eyes beaming like flowers, which eased the kids up, bringing more brightness into their faces.
The dance she was teaching them was called the Sakura Dance, officially the Balabala Sakura Dance, a soundtrack dance from some King’s movie two thousand years ago. The moves were not difficult, but the melody was good. Moreover, even if the dance moves were slightly off, it wouldn’t be noticeable. The most important thing was, it was really the only dance she could do. The reason she knew it was simply that back when she was in the countryside, Wang Dali’s cousin had come over, she loved to dance it, and just had to drag her to dance along.
