She strolled over to the ancestral hall entrance door and walked through the door getting inside, she could already see Huo Qi kneeling there on the floor with a book in his palms reciting like someone reading a poem.

"Hahaha..." She softly giggled seeing how diligent Huo Qi received his punishment. Huo Shen didn’t have to supervise him and she wondered if it was all the same with all the other guards or if it was just him.

"What are you laughing about while walking over inside here? Aren’t we all in the same scenario? But what did you do?" Huo Qi glared at her as he returned his gaze to the book that was in his palms still very curious.

After that incident, he hadn’t thought that he would make her continue with the earlier punishment he had given her.

"We made the same mistakes, I’m here to pay my respects and receive my punishment..." She went forward and formally kowtowed giving respect to the Huo family ancestors’ tablets.

She didn’t need to do this as a form of punishment but as Huo Shen’s fiancé, she didn’t have to embarrass herself in front of everyone knowing Huo Dong would be present during their engagement party.

Everyone would try to find a fault in her and try to embarrass Huo Shen making sure they made him feel like the decisions he had made were all wrong, but she had to prove them otherwise.

She had to make sure, they didn’t have a loophole to use to their benefit, she couldn’t embarrass herself and Huo Shen, but she was doing it for herself.

Even though she knew some of the Huo family rules from her previous life, it still didn’t amount even to half of the existing Huo family rules and as the future Huo matriarch, this was fundamental and she had to know them overhead.

After she was done with her respectful gesture, she got up and settled down on her knees beside Huo Qi while gazing at the huge stone tablet that had rules written on it, they were huge and visible.

"How could he have a heart to punish you? You truly made the wrong choice when it came to choosing men! Let me tell you, my master is a total novice when it comes to things to do with love and relationships..." Huo Qi sarcastically remarked eying her sympathetically as she calmly knelt there unfussed.

"Let’s just say that, I’m blind, the same goes for you as well, but the only difference here is you are driven by money while I’m driven by my own ambitions... We each take what we need." She nudged him from the side pushing him down and Huo Qi swayed before stabilizing his knees.

"You!" He was furious and he could only point his index finger at her and didn’t dare to attack her.

"Don’t give me that look! But actually, you can be my substitute whenever Huo Shen is tired you know! You smell delicious and edible! I can chew you entirely even with your bones.." With her lips scrunched up to her sniffing nose, she moved her head closer in his direction, and her sudden move scared Huo Qi.

He nervously got up in a hurry before moving away and keeping a distance between them.

You! you! you!" Huo Shen was speechless by her flirting skills, he slightly felt embarrassed and his face blushed.

What if Huo Shen mistakenly showed up and found them being that intimate with that ambiguous position? He didn’t want to die so young even though he was innocent. Huo Shen might be simple and charming but deep down he knew the kind of a beast this man was when someone stepped wrongly into his territory.

"Hehe..." Su Wei Wei softly giggled seeing Huo Qi’s fearful gaze, she didn’t tease him anymore but rather concentrated on the stone tablet and read the rules.

If Nanny Wei had been around, she would have taught and explained everything to her word by word and she would have easily understood them.

"Sigh!" She could only sigh and read the rules diligently, it was for her own good anyways. This maid should be her enemy, she vowed once she had recited enough, she would ask Huo Qi where he had taken her.

"You don’t need to kneel, you can sit on the ground in a crisscrossed pattern, it would be comfortable and easier for you... Don’t forget, you are getting engaged a day after tomorrow..."
