"Mother, I can’t get engaged to him! Mother... Please, you have to listen to me, you have to stop it, mother..." She held her hands tightly begging her as her eyes watered nonstop.

"Mo Zi Jia, don’t be too willful, and don’t hold onto Huo Shen, he doesn’t want to get engaged to you, and he doesn’t see you as his future wife, you should let go as soon as possible and forget all about him..." Wang Kang tried to cajole her but Mo Zi Jia shook her head violently, her mother didn’t know who she was pushing her to, this man was a beast in human clothes.

"Mother, do what I’m telling you!" She begged her but Wang Kang thought otherwise, maybe it was a good opportunity for her daughter to let go of her obsession towards Huo Shen but she missed seeing the underlined problem.

"Calm down first, I will get some fruits and warm porridge for you... You should be happy, this is good news..." She nudged her hands away as she gently tapped her shoulders and strode out of her bedroom over to the corridor before getting into the hallway that led into the kitchen after the sitting area.

Mo Zi Xue who was inside her bedroom, walked over to the door and turned the door knob trying to open her bedroom door and it instantly opened up.

"Oooh? They didn’t lock me up?" With a smug on her face, she peeked out into the hallway, she couldn’t see anyone apart from Wang Kang who was walking towards the stairs, out of the hallway.

Seeing she was getting down the stairs, she got out of her bedroom, tiptoed hurriedly over to Mo Zi Jia’s bedroom door and opened it getting inside.

Mo Zi Jia who was crying with her head bowed, immediately lifted her head, "Mother..." She wanted to speak up but realized it wasn’t her.

Mo Zi Xue leisurely strolled over to her bed before bending over and gazing at her frail body.

"My dear little cousin! How are your sacrifices so far? Has the man been tamed by you? You said you were the perfect match, you had told me I wasn’t worth it... How is it now?" Those sarcastic remarks echoed in the entire bedroom as Mo Zi Jia weakly stretched her hands searching for her mobile phone.

Mo Zi Xue couldn’t hide that smile on her face, she condescendingly glared at her, she had warned them, but they never listened.

"Mo Zi Xue, Huo Shen will marry me, I know that! He is just momentarily confused, he will marry me..." Mo Zi Jia tried to get the mobile phone out of her handbag she had come over with from the hospital but it fell onto the floor.

"Haha, you should stop dreaming of Huo Shen! I already warned you! Between you and me, I’m the qualified one, you should think of how amicable you should get along with your upcoming fiancé, that’s your fated man... You should enjoy the fruits of your labour..." She sarcastically laughed out glaring at her, she hated her because the entire family pampered only her and they had brought her up as the future Mrs Huo.

Who was she? Did she think that she was more beautiful compared to everyone else? How could they sideline her just because Mo Zi Jia was the first granddaughter? Amongst the miseries, Mo Zi Xue was the happiest one.

"No, it can’t be! It can’t be! Mo Zi Xue, Huo Shen will always be mine alone, he will always be my man!" Mo Zi Jia shrieked out in frustration, she wanted to get her mobile phone and call Huo Dong to understand what was happening, why was he accepting this ridiculous proposal? And why did he suddenly choose her of all the people?

"Haha, you are an idiot! You either accept it, or kill yourself, the choice is yours, but you will no longer be my competition in this house! you shouldn’t have returned to begin with! States suited you better..." After those salting words, Mo Zi Xue leisurely strode out of the bedroom carefully before closing the bedroom door and rushing back to her bedroom slamming the door shut feeling fulfilled.
