Chapter 243; No! She won’t!
Chapter 243: Chapter 243; No! She won’t!
"We have been living in the streets for the last two years, but we are fine and we don’t steal! We promise that! We earn money by working hard." Just like innocent kids, they lifted their hands and vowed while gazing at Su Wei who was smiling at them believing in their words. They have never stolen or hurt anyone, they do their own things earn little money from working around the streets, and go back to the corner where they usually sleep.
Su Wei Wei carefully scrutinized them from their faces over to their feet that were stepping on the ground and wondered if they were abandoned or orphaned. Anything was possible.
"It’s good that you two are good-mannered kids..." Su Wei Wei commended them and their little faces lit up, they should be around eight or ten years old, and they looked disciplined and tamed even though they were street kids. They had a family at one time.
"Thank you, Miss...." It felt good to be trusted by a person you aren’t related to.
"Someone did say they have charity homes, where are they? Come forward..." Su Wei Wei loudly muttered gazing at the other citizens who had greeted her and now they were standing at the further end giving space for other people to greet her.
"I was the one who said!" A woman who couldn’t be aged more than thirty walked forward, she wasn’t that overly luxuriously dressed, but with that minimal dressing, she was still looking elegant.
"Oooh... What’s your name and where do you come from?" Su Wei Wei inquired while she ruffled their head hair as they stood there quietly.
"My name is Ling Fu, from Town Z, thirty kilometers away from here and you will find my charity home..." She humbly responded gazing at Su Wei Wei.
Su Wei Wei stretched her hand and signaled Ling Fu to shake hers, from her aura, Su Wei Wei could feel she was a kind person. Ling Fu stretched her hand out and shook Su Wei Wei’s before letting go. It wouldn’t take long for Su Wei Wei not to identify a good person from bad people.
"Is it a charity home where you assist them and later on take them to an orphanage or it’s an orphanage? Can you briefly explain what it is?" Su Wei Wei curiously inquired, she had to know before giving out promises of supporting and sponsoring.
"It’s a charity home, I still don’t have any capabilities of hosting several cases as I work with different kinds of scenarios, let’s say, women who are running away from Domestic Violence, we shelter them until they find their stability, kids who have also been abandoned or orphaned but we normally release them over to orphanages where they could find a more stable shelter and live a normal life... If we can have sponsors then I guess we would be able to accommodate them without giving them out to the orphanage homes...." She vividly explained what she does and from the narration, Su Wei Wei could tell how she hoped and wished, she could feel pain laced in between her words and it’s something she might have experienced one time.
"All right, take these two kids with you, tomorrow, once my mind and everything is settled, I will come over to see what we can do! Thank you for giving shelter to those who called for help!" Su Wei Wei placed her hand on her forehead, nobody who did a good deed would go unrecognized.
"Thank you, Missus..."
"Thank you so much!" She had actually dropped by to try her luck after going through several institutions seeking help and ended up unfruitful and chased away! She hadn’t expected her luck to turn out like this! She felt happy.
And Su Wei Wei knew if they could do this and get those kids out of the streets, then they would no longer have any human trafficking cases, those kids would grow up to be useful humans in society. Those kids were the future.
"You welcome, you can take in as much as you can, and anyone who comes for help, assist them, any kid who wants help, you can welcome them, tomorrow, should be a new dawn to you and them..." Su Wei Wei warmly smiled at her and Ling Fu smiled back at her, her earlier depression and aches she was feeling miraculously faded feeling energetic.
She had some health complications but now, she is feeling better and doesn’t feel difficulty in even breathing. She eyed Su Wei Wei in amazement. She was worthy of being Mrs Huo.
"Cheng Yi, don’t forget to remind me once we are done with the function..." She notified Cheng Yi who has been patient with her. He had never thought their Missus was this kind and benevolent, but wait, it did seem like there were people she would be kind to and others who would receive her wrath!
"Okay, since she has given you a card, then it would be easy to find her, we have to keep moving Missus..." Cheng Yi nodded his head understanding and notified her that they had stood long enough there.
"All right guys! Goodbye... " She waved at them as they turned around the roundabout and went in the other direction, only a few people were standing along it but still, she waved at them.
While the television live-streamed Su Wei Wei, the music was playing as Princess Aryana went through the red carpet in a slow-motion pace.
"Su Wei Wei, what if there’s something wrong with that woman?" Nanny Wei was worried, what if those kids ended up being hurt instead of getting assistance? Sometimes, life in the streets was better than being taken somewhere to be mistreated.
"No! She won’t!" Su Wei Wei shook her head in affirmation, of course, there were so many evil humans but then again, there were those who were kind enough to assist, for Ling Fu to approach her, then she hoped those victims under her wings would get better facilities and live a better life.
