"What happened? Are you feeling unwell?" Huo Shen walked over to the bed and sat down gazing at the girl who was yawning with her eyes closed, and her hands playing around with her hair. He was anxious and hoped she wasn’t feeling unwell.

"Are you okay?" She snapped her eyes open moving closer to his face while her hands stopped messing with her hair and now, she was messing up with his hair and he let her be as he closely gazed at those white eyes.

"I’m fine, how are you feeling? Should I tell Nanny Wei to come over and assist you in getting ready?" Her skin hadn’t completely healed but he could see her hands that were looking better and better with a jade-like flawless skin that was glossing.

"Aaah? I wanna rest for a few more minutes inside the bathtub filled up with warm water, you can assist me to get myself soaked in..." She was slightly feeling weak and terrible, but for now, she wanted to get rid of the burnt skin that hadn’t peeled off and try to use her magical healing powers on trying to heal herself even though it wasn’t 100% guaranteed that it would work.

"A witch can’t cast spells on himself/herself.."

"All right..." To him, her resting was more important than showing up at the banquet hall. Even if she decided not to go downstairs, he would highly respect her decisions.

He got up and turned around to go back to the bathroom and prepare that bathtub for her but Su Wei Wei stretched her hand and caught his arm.

"Ah Shen, can you try and pinch my hand? I want to know something..." She hoarsely muttered lifting her head eying him coquettishly while she pursed her lips. Previously, she would feel an excruciating pain whenever she was hurt even the slightest pinch.

"I can’t! I will prepare your bath..." He bent over and pecked her forehead before walking over to the bathroom in a hurry, he couldn’t do it, no matter what. His heart was already pained at the thought of hurting her and seeing her eyes water nonstop.

"Tsk..." Su Wei Wei smacked her lips in annoyance and tried to pinch her skin around the wrist but didn’t feel anything apart from the usual slight pain.

She slumped back onto the bed lying on her back facing the ceiling while Huo Shen set her bathtub water.

The kids were done getting themselves ready, Nanny Wei gave them their clothes each and left them to dress up while she took a shower too and got herself ready waiting to see Wei Wei.

Wang Gang was done getting ready, he exited his bedroom after getting himself dressed up before going over to the kitchen to wait for his brother but found him settled in the dining room taking his breakfast.

"Should we go out looking for them? Do you think something could have happened to them?" Wang Gang didn’t understand how his mother and sister haven’t returned home yet since yesterday! Or they were arrested and taken to other places? He could recall some people who weren’t fast enough had actually died while they were being chased by the wild wolves.

"I think they should be at the hospital, mom could have fallen sick after that devastating news! We will go over to the hospital and check that place around and see if we can make inquiries ..." That hospital was huge and had CCTV cameras, there was no way so grown women would go missing.

"Okay .." he settled down beside his brother as the maids served him some coffee and bread.
