"He hurriedly walked away as if Huo Qi was some kind of Vitus that could spread to him.

He didn’t know what had happened apart from seeing Huo Shen carrying Su Wei Wei in his arms wrapped with a comfy shawl... Her eyes were closed, if she was dead, Huo Shen would have already canceled this entire exercise and released people to go back to their homes. He would be crazy to still conduct this function.

"Tsk..." Huo Qi walked away to entertain the guests and left Cheng Yi who took his own path over to other guests to entertain them. They could deal with people they were familiar with, all others were enjoying snacks and wine that the waiters were distributing

Wang Guo Zhen woke up and got over to the kitchen with a sleeping robe, he was sleepy but still hungry since they hadn’t eaten since yesterday. In the kitchen, he couldn’t see his mother and sister moving around as usual, he walked over and approached one of the maids.

"Have you seen my sister and mom around here?" He hadn’t seen them at the fields where they had been taken after that arrest that happened, and they had left them at the hospital.

"No, since that time you left with them, they haven’t come back and we haven’t seen them, but you can check their rooms and see if they are there..." The maid innocently responded as she truly hadn’t seen them. She had returned for the night shift before the all other people returned from that mysterious land.

"Okay..." Wang Guo Zhen rushed over to their bedrooms to check out if they had come back while they were all absent, but the maids should have at least seen them right going in right?

But he didn’t find them, everything was just like they had left them yesterday morning!

He had wanted to call them, but noticed their mobile phones were still in the bedside drawers, he went over to ask his brother if he saw them last night as he had gone over to the hospital to check on Wang Kang’s body before returning. Maybe they had gone out in the morning and no one saw them.

He got into the bedroom as the door wasn’t locked, he could see Wang Gang stretching himself out, they were too exhausted and didn’t have any plans of attending that engagement banquet while they are still mourning.

He walked over to bed and gently tapped on his shoulders trying to wake him up even though he was conscious already and maybe just lazing in bed.

"Wang Gang, did you see Mom and Sis in the hospital?" He worriedly inquired while straightening his back. He was also exhausted but wanted to eat something before going to bed, but noticed that the people they had left at the hospital hadn’t returned.

"Aren’t they home?" Wang Gang lazily sat up on his bed before leaning backward on his headboard. He gently rubbed his eyes trying to digest what his brother was saying.

"No, the maids just told me that they haven’t returned, I checked their bedrooms and they aren’t there, even their mobile phones are just in the same place as where they had left them...." He crossed his arms around his chest gazing at his brother.

"Let me freshen up first and then we will search..." He hoarsely muttered dismissing him. Wang Guo Zhen walked out of his bedroom and went back to his bedroom to also get ready so that they could go over to the hospital and inquire where they had gone.

"Momma, we are here...." Zhan Shan and her mother finally arrived at the venue entrance gate.

They had their own invitation card and didn’t know if those other Zhan family members would show up to the event. They were in the accompaniment of the entire Chen family.

They got over to the checking point and gave out their invitation card for it to be scanned and after confirming it was theirs, they were let to pass to the next stop where the guards checked them for any illegal stuff like knives and guns, and then they went through the checking machines making sure no one had swallowed a bomb, or carrying some small pin cameras as the venue had banned all the mobile phones, they were either to be switched off or put airplane mode.

Personal pictures or mobile phone photo taking was prohibited, the entire place was jammed and no phone calls could be made to the people outside, if anyone had his/her mobile with them, it was completely useless.

Everyone had to follow the metered rules and guidelines, they knew Huo Shen was capable of anything and everything, and instead of annoying him, it was good to follow the rules passed out to them.

"Zhan Shan, you have to stay low and listen to me and follow my instructions, don’t go anywhere and neither say anything, just wait until I give you an ok...." She knew her daughter wasn’t stupid but sometimes she could think with her heart and not her brain, at the moment, she could only caution her in case she made an error.

"Okay, mother...." They strolled into the hall after undertaking the entire security check exercise and were permitted to go in, they went inside and were shown where to settle on their already-arranged table.
