Wei Wei settled down on the pink bed and gently caressed Tang Ning’s soft silk hair, she had fallen asleep and her breath sounded even. Hopefully, tomorrow would be a better day for them.

"You can sleep on the bed, I will lully you to sleep too..." She got up from the pink bed and held his hand as he was standing close by and dragged him over to the blue bed but he shook his head signaling her that he was just fine. He can sleep without being lulled.

But Su Wei Wei didn’t give him a chance to decline, she picked him up and placed her down on the bed before singing a soft song while tucking him in. Tang Ying warmly smiled at Wei Wei with light soft giggles here and there echoing.

He had deeper dimples when he smiled and you could tell his parents were hunkies and had a very beautiful mother, his hair was silky jet black and his eyes were ocean blue, this must have been his mother’s genes as the other two had hazel eyes.

She sat there on the bed gently tapping her shoulders while singing a lullaby for him. Seeing he wasn’t gonna sleep any time soon.

She gently trickled him as they giggled then Su Wei Wei recalled Tang Ning was sleeping on the other bed. She pressed her index finger on her lips signaling him to keep it low and Tang Ying nodded his head.

These kids were so well behaved and Su Wei Wei hoped they could recover and live a better life and behave just like all the other kids as they were kids. She began to sing another lullaby while chatting with signs.

Inside the other bedroom, Huo Dong had locked his door and stripped naked, he prepared his bathtub to soak himself in, he needed a rejuvenated body for tomorrow’s function.

"Hufffh!" She loudly exhaled taking care of his bed as he had to make it. He could see the house telephone and was tempted to call his mother but immediately erased that idea. It was too risky to call her from that phone which can easily be tapped.

He roughly ruffled his hair before he began taking things over to the washroom to set it ready.

After setting everything up, even the soothing soup, he soaked himself in while closing his eyes, he felt mentally and physically exhausted.

Mo Zi Xue who was inside the guest room didn’t do anything apart from crouching close to the bed feeling defeated and crying her eyes out.

Her eyes had been watering nonstop at the slightest thought of how she had been humiliated the entire day from the fields over to the house. She even had to betray everyone to get it here, it wasn’t a bed of roses.

"You need to keep going! You don’t know how the future will be! You have to hold on, don’t give up yet!" She gently tapped her chest comforting herself before getting into the bed to lie down.

She was too exhausted to do anything, her hands and legs felt weak, and lacked energy.

"You definitely can do it!" She could only cheer herself up to sleep.

Since they couldn’t catch up with them, they shot them down across their thighs, now they were in the forest and those fired bullets wouldn’t frighten any pedestrians since they were deeper in the forest.

After being shot, they fell onto the ground gritting their teeth! They couldn’t escape Huo Shen’s men. With bullets in their thighs, their movements were immediately thwarted.

"What brought you over to the mortuary? What were you planning to do there?" One of Huo Shen’s men queried as they pointed their handguns at their heads ready to blow off their brains if they didn’t say anything useful!

"We were sent to pick up a body by the name Wang Kang but we didn’t find it anywhere! We searched all corners of the mortuary and even inside the refrigerator but we didn’t find it! We don’t know where it went or what happened to it!" He hurriedly explained thinking maybe they were already suspected of taking Wang Kang’s body away since it wasn’t there, but they didn’t manage to even see it.

"You didn’t find?" Of course, Wang Kang’s body had already been taken away by the soldiers over to their private establishment, and their master had ordered them to stay around the mortuary and monitor to see if someone was coming over to steal Wang Kang’s body and surprisingly, it did happen.

"Yes yes!"

"We didn’t find it anywhere!"

"Please let us go! We don’t know anything!"

They hurriedly pleaded kowtowing onto the ground begging for mercy explaining what they had been instructed to do through a mobile phone call.

"Call that person and tell her/him that you have got the body, and you should be given a dropping point..." One of Huo Shen’s men instructed him on what to do, if they called the person, then they would get an idea of who sent them over to the hospital to get that body.

"We already notified him as he had called earlier on when we were at the hospital parking lot..." How was it possible to change this narrative?

"You can say you found it somewhere else or you found it at Wang Kang’s home..." They gave them a reasonable reason that man could believe.

"He uses a private number and he would be the one calling as we are unable to call that number, also, his calls don’t have a clearly identifiable voice and we don’t know if it’s a man or woman!" They were faster in explaining, they didn’t want to lose their lives. The task they were given was risky and they haven’t received that much money to sell their lives away.

"Okay..." They knocked them out before carrying them away, that person might call, and it would be best if they were under Huo Shen’s jurisdiction, it would be easy to tap into that call and track this person down.
