Before he could complete his sentence, one of the men held his neck with his arm strangling him backwards tightly and holding him against the car headrest, he was feeling choked his tongue wagging out of his mouth and his eyes could only water while he struggled with his hands which ended up being caught by another man and held them to the back.

"Cough cough cough!" He roughly coughed while inhaling large amounts of air trying to relieve the suffocating feeling and lumped up throat.

"When I ask you something, I expect you to answer it correctly, where is your wife? Where did you take her?" He didn’t want to sound like someone who knew her ’death’ but rather raiding a healthy human.

"My wife? She was in that cold morgue room, I came over to see her but when I noticed the police officers patrolling over there, I quietly came back to my car, they had been arresting every other member of my family, and I didn’t want to be caught before I could see her so I hid here and decided to wait for the perfect time..." At the thought of Wang Kang, his eyes glistened with tears.

Those sad news bolted and roughly hit him like a tornado, if he wasn’t experiencing a rough time at the company, he would have accompanied her and maybe this wouldn’t have happened to her at all.

Halfly, he felt it was his fault that she died so mysteriously overnight, for no known reason as she was never sick, and she never had any complicated health issues that could immediately send her to her grave all of a sudden.

They have managed to get in and out of there without any suspicion, going back there they might end up alerting the management and they would be easily caught.

"I haven’t seen her! That’s what her parents said, the mortician and forensic pathologists were waiting for the family members to sign those papers before they could perform a post-mortem on her body and identify the cause of her death! I don’t know anything else apart from what I heard from them..." He hurriedly explained himself, he didn’t know why they were inquiring about his dead wife’s body, but he honestly responded before a bullet could be fired across his temples.

He didn’t want to die yet, everyone was afraid of death and hoped that Wang Kang wasn’t dead and she was just playing a joke on them.

They knocked him out before moving him over to the passenger seat and drove out of the parking lot. It was better to use his car than get into a different one. It was easier to escape from there with his car.

One of the ring leaders immediately dialled a secret number and it rang several times before it was received, a sound echoed from the other end of the phone call, it was rough, distorted and robotic, no one knew if it was a male or female who had received it.

"Have you taken care of it? Should I make some arrangements?" The voice from the other end inquired as they gazed at each other worriedly.

"We didn’t find the person you sent the pictures over, she isn’t in there... We searched everywhere and every other corner but nothing, not even a shadow..." He hoarsely muttered as they watched the highway while one of their men drove along.

"Did you check it carefully? Maybe she was somewhere there in the fridges..." That distorted voice from the other side sounded angered that they were incapable of completing such a simple task.

" We checked even in the huge refrigerators, but she wasn’t there, are you certain that we would have found this person in there? What if she was already cremated?" The man was irritated that this guy could be joking with them, they had taken this task of stealing a corpse but it didn’t seem to be an easy job at all.

They only had pictures of the said person and told them they could find her at the morgue, but she wasn’t there.

Before he could finish up his statement, the man immediately hung up noticing that there was a car trailing behind them. They have been careful with their movements inside the hospital, so seeing a car driving towards them, that only meant they could have alerted people they shouldn’t have, or maybe they were already being watched from the moment they got there.
