"What’s the matter with you all? Why do you all look so sombre? Did someone die? Are we mourning someone or something?" She lazily slumped down onto the couch roughly glaring at them her mouth puckered upward in annoyance. They were smelling of sad vibes from a distance and she didn’t want to be infested!

With the show of her fingers, she signalled them to take a step backwards keeping distance between them before she nonchalantly crossed her legs and hands around her chest waiting for them to speak up.

The maids hurriedly served her breakfast that had been left at the dining table still with their heads bowed, they didn’t utter a single and you could tell from their faces that they were afraid.

"Let me not ask for the third time! You better know the consequences !" This time her voice was cold and threatening! Did they think she didn’t have a say in this house just because that old man looked down on her and she was grounded? She needed answers and happy news would make her morning.

"I tried calling you! Call back once you get my message! waiting for your feedback!" Several numbers had called her last night but she was off and mostly they were new numbers and others were private numbers.

She dialled a number that was very familiar to her and had tried calling her last night, after three rings, it was received, she strode over to the balcony gazing down into the garden, "Hello..."

"Hello, Miss Mo... What can I do for you?" That voice from the other end was a robotic one and no one could tell if it was a female or male who had received it. His voice had been tampered with by the voice changer machine.

"Is it true that Wang Kang is dead?" She badly wanted to know this! Her dying was one way of giving her a way for her plans to succeed. She could only rejoice seeing her path to prosperity was getting smoother.
