"I don’t think you still have to sit on my lap right? He is gone already..." Huo Shen hoarsely muttered eying the woman who was still on his lap not having any plans of getting off.

"You were planning to make something to eat, you can’t do that with this dress, right? Before you even boil some water, it would have burnt..." He took the stairs up. He didn’t ask her how she knew everything she said earlier on as he was trying to digest everything.

"Are you afraid that after burning you would have to replace it and it will cost you money?" With her eyes glued to the pearls, she queried thinking of why Huo Dong actually left like that without putting up a fight as he seemed to have come over prepared.

"I ran in and ran out, dressed in your room and then went down, I just picked the dress and a veil that was closest to the door and easy to pick from the wardrobe." She hurriedly mumbled what she had actually done earlier on. No one was gonna make her stay in that room.

He slightly smirked as he walked into the other bedroom and placed her on the bed. "This one isn’t haunted, wait here, I will bring some clothes over for you to change into..." He gently ruffled her hair before going back into her bedroom so that he could get some clean clothes for her to change into.

Walking into the room, it was a little bit dirty, and the French windows were left wide open, the curtains were loosely hanging maybe because of the heavy storm that rained last night since the windows and doors of the balcony were left open.

He walked over to the closet and picked up a few clean clothes before going back to the other bedroom.

"You can have these and change into that while I take care of the room..." He placed the dress on the bed gazing at her hand that was still full of the purple pearls as Huo Shen bent over to gaze at them, they began melting one by one staining her hands purple.

"They are melting?" He was surprised and stretched his hand to pick up one, and closely scrutinized it as he straightened his back.

"Can you swallow that one and tell me what you feel!" She slightly frowned, with him close by, she could turn her tears into pearls, and the same presence of this man could make her pearls melt again.

Huo Shen wasn’t bothered that they were her tears that coagulated and formed this pearl, he swallowed it melting down in his mouth.

It was lavender-scented and sugary like candy, but he felt refreshed and rejuvenated... The heaviness he was feeling suddenly vanished. He felt like he had a new body.

"Give me those pearls, I know what to do ..." He stretched his hand out and Su Wei Wei placed the pearls onto his palms and they stopped melting. She worriedly frowned wondering if it was true that their lives’ fate was intertwined.
