Huo Shen noticed her tensed-up eyes, and she was getting nervous, "You don’t have to get yourself worked up, I told you, this is your day! You can be yourself and enjoy it to the fullest, no one would dare talk bad about you... I won’t allow it." All those humans who were coming were coming over to just please him and nothing much. They had to be respectful towards his woman.

This was her day and he wouldn’t allow anyone to make her sad. He chose her.

"Hehe okay ..." She softly hummed but deep down she knew when it was time to misbehave and when it meant serious business. She needed to check on her attitude, her posture, and her aura, she just wanted everything about her to be admirable even in front of Huo Shen.

Since she was gonna keep this man, then she would have to do better not to disappoint him in any way. Her embarrassment was the same as embarrassing Huo Shen. She had to do better.

"Anything else you want to add there? What kind of cake decoration do you want?" He slightly coughed because of the cold breeze that he had inhaled while carrying her back to the mansion.

"Geez! I went to great lengths to treat you, and you just carelessly rush out so early in the morning with all the cold without wearing a coat..." She placed the iPad on the table before strolling over to where he was seated and held his arm dragging him to get up.

"I’m fine...." He softly hummed not planning to get up, what if the moment he went back to his bedroom she would go back to that gym and let her eyes wander all over the place? What if she is awed by their handsomeness and she decides to leave? No way he was gonna go back to his bedroom no matter how much he trusted and believed in himself!

"You better get the fuck up! Don’t make me repeat myself..." Su Wei Wei was feeling irritated by this stubborn man. He wasn’t feeling well, and here he was running around in his pyjamas with all this cold.

"All right all right! I will listen to you..." The last thing he needed to do was to annoy her this early morning, and then, he needed to rest so that he could feel better, tomorrow was their engagement day, and he wouldn’t allow his body to let him down.

He had just gotten up and Su Wei Wei was holding his arm to support him up the stairs when a guard strode into the mansion.

"Good morning Master, Missus... Huo Dong has arrived and is at the entrance gate." He notified him as he bowed his head worriedly. He didn’t know why Huo Dong had to show up at their gate this early morning. It was just 6:30.

"He is here? What does he want? Let him in...." He instructed the guard who nodded his head and walked back to the gate to let Huo Dong in.

"Wei Wei, go back to your bedroom..." He sent her away, he didn’t want anyone to see her face not that he was ashamed but for her safety. Huo Dong wasn’t someone he would expose his woman to.

"Why should I go? I want to stay around, if it’s my face, let’s wear the same masks. Where did you put them? Mnnh? Where are they?" She suddenly thought of this idea. If he was worried then she could hide her face.

"The problem is your eyes, it doesn’t lie on your face..." Having purple eyes was the most unique thing to exist, anyone would easily mark that and with people hunting for this, he wasn’t going to risk it.

"Oooh, I will fix it..." She rushed over to her bedroom to find a hat veil. She had seen it somewhere attached to her new hanfu dresses.

Huo Shen didn’t know why she wanted to stick around, he wasn’t a weakling right? He could defend himself.

He turned his head gazing at the girl who was skipping through the stairs in a hurry and lightly wondered what she was up to.

He got up and walked over to a drawer that was under the TV stand, he opened it and got a mask before settling down on his seat wearing it.

"Brother, good morning...." Huo Dong was escorted into the mansion with Huo Shen’s guards.

"Remove your shoes there at the door before you step inside..." Huo Shen hoarsely muttered glaring at him, he didn’t want to see this guy at all any time soon but he had to bring himself around and ruin his mood.

"Brother, this should be my home too right?" Huo Dong was slightly annoyed that his brother didn’t have any courtesy to even greet him.

"No! This isn’t your house and neither is your home, it’s my house, my mother gave it to me, and it’s written under my name..." He coldly refuted his words, he didn’t have plans of sharing anything with him.

"Brother! What’s the matter with you? It’s father who gave her this mansion, shouldn’t we all live peacefully?" Huo Dong removed his shoes as he got over to the sitting area with his suitcase trying to kiss his ass but Huo Shen wasn’t having it. Huo Ting and a few of his guards escorted him.

"Don’t call me that! My mother never gave birth to two boys! What brings you over here so early in the morning?" He had just completed his sentence when Huo Dong froze for a minute before settling down on the couch to face him. Seeing his surprised look, Huo Shen immediately knew this guy already knew they were stepbrothers.

"It doesn’t matter, I will always be a Huo and the eldest son, you will never change that!" Huo Dong didn’t like the way this guy was looking down on him.
