Rebirth: Dancing In My Destiny -
Chapter 99: Little Heaven
Chapter 99: Little Heaven
After Rose saw Sam leaving her apartment.
She immediately went into her bedroom to prepare. The excitement of meeting Evan’s parents took over her mind. She couldn’t wait to meet her future mother-in-law.
However, her thrill subsided when she opened her wardrobe. There are not many choices of clothes there. Only a few blouses, outer blazers, and pants.
What a pathetic wardrobe? How can a founder of an investment company only have a few pieces of clothing?
In fact, there are only three shoes that she brought to the capital. She really needs shopping. Lots to buy. She needs formal clothes for her to use at work. She also needs sports clothes because she will start physical training with Evan. She didn’t bring her running shoes.
After a while, she decided to wear her white blouse combined with culottes in beige color. She let her dark blonde hair down to her back. After being satisfied with her appearance, now she was confused looking at her shoes. Whether to use a stiletto or flat shoes?
Rose felt her head slightly spinning. Just for dinner, she has to rack her brains. It seems easier to choose a company to buy than to select an outfit to meet the future in-laws. Gosh!
She spends another minute just deciding which shoes she wants to use. Her choice this time is to wear her black stilettos, which has the same color as her saddlebag. After putting on her stilettos, she heard the doorbell ring.
Evan!? It must be him. She smiles while walking fast to the entrance.
"Evan?" She asks before opening the door.
"I am. Are you ready, Rose?"
Rose opens the door and looks at her boyfriend. He wears his casual clothes, ready for their dinner.
"How could we wear matching colors?" Evan looked surprised at Rose, wearing a white blouse and beige pants.
"Did you put CCTV in my bedroom, Mr. Landlord?" Rose teased him as she felt surprised. The difference is only their shoes. Evan uses his white sneakers. He’s so casual. While her? She is too formal with her stilettos. Instantly, she decided to change her shoes. She will wear her comfortable white sneakers.
"Mmm... You think it’s too extreme, Miss Wilson!" Evan laughs as he rubs Rose’s hair before continuing, "I don’t need to install CCTV. I will just move in here to stay with you. May I?"
Rose froze hearing his words. She stepped back to make a distance between them to worry this man would tease her again. She can’t buy it, or he will talk about their marriage registry again.
"Evan... Don’t ruin my hair." She makes a random excuse to hide her blushing face. She can feel how hot her cheeks are now. "Wait here, Evan. Let me take my bag first...." Rose said as she walked fast inside, leaving Evan still standing at the door.
"No need to rush, Rose. We still have a lot of time..." Evan shouted when he saw his girl running like a rabbit. His girl runs in time. She may end up in his arms because right now, he can’t resist her charm and her cuteness when her cheeks turn red like peaches.
Evan could only shake his head, trying to think clearly. His mind is in a dangerous state. He may cancel to meet his mother and stay here cuddling with his girl.
A few minutes later...
Rose came back, but she didn’t see Evan at the door. He saw him standing at the end of the corridor, looking out the street below. She quickly locked her apartment and walked over to him.
"Evan, I’m ready?" Rose saw Evan turn back and smile at her. "Where are we going?" She follows Evan as he’s holding her hand and walking toward the elevator.
"At your favorite place..."
Rose was surprised. She never told Evan anything about her favorite place to visit in this city because she had never seen this city before, in this life, or in her previous life. How could he know? Instantly she was worried that Evan would find out about her rebirth.
"I have never been to this city, Evan. How could I have a favorite place to visit?"
"Well, I was just guessing. You like the sea, right?" Evan asks. He recalls Rose ever saying she likes the beach more than the mountain.
"Yeah, you’re right. I prefer the beach...." Rose answered immediately. She was relieved. She worried about nothing.
After a thirty-minute drive from the apartment, it wasn’t long before their car entered the coastal area.
No tall buildings in the area. The place was so quiet, in contrast to the downtown location where they lived. Several buildings like shops facing the sea are used as restaurants and cafes. And behind the building, Rose can see a beautiful hill. Several luxurious but artistic private villas are standing grandeur on it. They look built in harmony with the hill’s natural surroundings.
Rose was stunned. Why did Evan bring her to this place? She knows this place. This place is called Little Heaven, where the rich people in this city reside and spend their time. Not just anyone can visit this place because Little Heaven is a private townhouse owned by the Collins group.
This is the first time Rose has come to this area. And she immediately fell in love with this place, especially when her eyes saw the sea. The previously blue sky slowly turned blackish orange as the sun gradually disappeared on the horizon. It looked so pretty. She was mesmerized. Now, she understands why this place is called Little Heaven. The sunset view is really stunning.
Just enjoying the natural beauty here has made her happy. What else to enjoy dinner at a restaurant with loved ones? It would definitely be more fun. She was delighted and couldn’t wait to know where Evan would take her to dinner.
Too happy with the beauty of Little Heaven that she forgot the worry of meeting her future mother-in-law that had enveloped her heart earlier.
