Rebirth: Dancing In My Destiny
Chapter 514: Our Destiny

Chapter 514: Our Destiny

"Wife... I have to be honest here. What you’re telling me sounds nonsense. However, I believe in you. Whatever you say, I know you won’t tell lies..." He took her hand and squeezed it gently. "Tell me more so I can understand..." He said softly.

Rose looked into Evan’s eyes to see if he meant what he said. She could see his gaze and tone were sincere. It made her continue to tell him.

She took a few deep breaths before saying, "...Willard Harper died in a coma after having an accident last year. And, another soul entered his body. That soul was, unfortunately, a vile soul. And it was Dustin Moses’s soul!"

"WHAT!?" Evan can’t help but shout. He was surprised to hear that.

"Hubby, don’t faint on me yet. Let me finish first..." Rose held Evan’s hand tighter. "Dustin was reborn in Willard’s body, and since then, he has been looking for me. You still remember the Instagram incident, right?"

"Yeah, I remember. Willard Harper suddenly followed your Instagram." Evan still had difficulty understanding his wife’s words. Still, he started to believe it when he connected so many dots that had confused him all this time.

And the biggest mystery for him was why Willard would suddenly attack him. And also, why would the man suddenly like his wife, even though they had just met? Willard Harper turns out to be a jerk and vile Dustin Moses!

"That’s when he started to approach me. He also used Noah. Since he knows brother Noah so well, it made it easier to approach him." Rose bitterly smiles. "And you know what happened after that..."

After Rose told him everything, she didn’t rush to tell him about herself being reborn as well. She waited for Evan to absorb everything.

After a long silence, Evan breaks it by saying, "Since when did you know that guy was Dustin Moses?"

"I just found out that night on the island. At first, I didn’t intend to kill Willard Harper, but when I discovered that that man was Dustin, I had no choice but to end his life..." She could feel pain seep into her heart as the memories of that night appeared in her mind.

"W-Why?"

"Because of that man, hurt me twice..." She softly said as she looked down to see their entangled hands. She couldn’t bear to look Evan in the eye.

"Indeed!! That bastard hurt you twice. I still remember when we were in East City and on the island. He deserves to die!!" Evan retorted.

"I mean, in my two lives. In my previous and present life..." Rose smiled when she saw his brows knit.

Evan was confused by this. Two lives? He asked, "What do you mean?"

"I am also reborn!"

Evan opened his mouth but failed to utter a sound.

"I’m different from Dustin. I came back from my life ten years in the future. I was reborn into my own body..."

"Wait! So you’re saying... you came back from the future to your younger self?" Now Evan’s mind was fuzzy, trying to process what she was saying.

"Yes. Dustin Moses was my partner in my first life, but that man killed me. I was also confused that day because when I opened my eyes, I returned to my younger self... The day when I accompanied you in your seminar." Rose felt terrible telling him this.

Evan was speechless. Utterly speechless. How could this happen!? For real!?

"God gave me a second chance. So, I grab that opportunity to change my previous life. I chose another path because my life was like hell in my previous life, and I don’t want to repeat that..." Her voice started to shake. It was as if something heavy was squeezing her chest as memories of those days came rushing back into her mind.

"So that’s why you suddenly accepted me?" Evan’s voice shook; he was too shocked to realize the day Rose had been so friendly to him.

"Hmm... I’m sorry, Evan." Rose hung her head low, unable to see his eyes at all. She was very embarrassed to tell him this.

She tried to pull her hand away from Evan’s grip, but Evan didn’t let go. She could only let out a low sigh and continued her words,

"...Evan, I shouldn’t have changed your fate either. But, at that time... you were the only person I wanted to choose as my life partner in my second life! I’m sorry if..." She didn’t finish her sentence because she could feel Evan’s hands wrap gently around her.

"No. Don’t apologize because you did the right thing, dear... You chose me. That means my blessing, too. Because now, I feel so happy. You too, right!?" Evan asks seriously.

Although all of this felt absurd, one thing that made him happy was that this girl had chosen him. He didn’t care what happened to her in the past. What did he care about now? They were together. So, he will cherish their life together.

Rose could only cry at Evan’s words. She felt the weight on her shoulders finally lifted.

She slowly raised her head when Evan let go of his embrace. When their eyes met, she smiled at him. She said, "Hmm... I feel so happy now because of you, Evan. I know it’s selfish, but I think being selfish to have you is a precious gift to me."

"Yeah! You should..." Evan smiled back at her. "Thank you so much, Rose. You gave me a chance to be your man." He brought his head closer and gently kissed her on the lips.

Later...

Evan helped Rose sit on the couch beside him. He wrapped his arms around her waist. They sat like that momentarily until something came to Evan’s mind. He glanced at her, unsure whether to ask her or not.

After a pause, Evan eventually asked, "Wife, have we met again in your past life?" He felt worried that he might become a playboy after being rejected by Rose many times.

Rose smiled meaningfully before answering his curiosity. "Well, honestly, your life is miserable to hubby!"

"Huh!? What do you mean?" he started to worry.

"All I know is, you were single until I died!!"

"Really!?"

"Hahaha, yeah... A month before I died, we met. At that time, you said you were single. I can guess you were still waiting for me to become a widow. I thought..." Rose couldn’t help but laugh as she looked at his expression.

"Hahaha, are you serious?" he asked. Somehow, he felt happy to hear it. Because for him, he doesn’t want to love any other girl, only her.

"Yes! That’s why I chose you. I know your love for me is pure..." Rose pulled Evan’s collar and kissed his lips gently and passionately, full of genuine and sincere love.

In this life, she didn’t need anything else. All she needs is this man, knowing he will always love her.

Rose slowly released her lips from his. She said,

"Evan Collins, thank you for showing me that love is beautiful and not painful." She smiled sweetly at him before continuing, "And I want to convey that our love is our destiny that we create TOGETHER, not because of anyone else. Thank you for dancing in my destiny. I love you, Evan Collins!"
