Rebirth: Dancing In My Destiny
Chapter 499: Helpless

Chapter 499: Helpless

Rose felt her whole body ache when she woke up. It felt like she had just done so much physical exercise that all her muscles were struck.

However, the pain completely vanished when she realized she was in an unfamiliar huge luxury bedroom. She was lying on a king-size bed with white sheets.

She can see a few cabinets in the corner with a gold accent and a pretty chandelier hanging in the middle of the room.

The decoration of this room was like a Victorian interior style which looked very foreign to her because she never came to this place.

"Where is this?" Rose muttered under her breath as she woke up. Instantly her body stiffened as a memory flashed through her mind; she was on drugs shortly before losing consciousness.

"Did someone kidnap me?" Her pulse quickened as she took a quick look at her body.

She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that her clothes were still the same as she had used before; a navy blue palazzo and a white shirt. Only her shoes were no longer visible.

Rose got up from the bed and walked out of the bedroom and onto the large veranda with a large glass wall to see where she was. It is so big, it is almost like a yard. From there, Rose could see the surroundings at nearly 360 degrees. And her heart sank when she saw beaches on her right and left, her fore and aft. And beyond that, an endless sea spread out before her eyes. And she could see several men dressed in all black with firearms standing guard around the house.

"Am I on an Island? I must be. I’m on an island! How did I get here? Who brought me here?" Her voice was trembling, afraid that the person who had kidnapped her would do something heinous to her.

She tried to open the glass window in the corner but couldn’t as it was permanently locked and even if she could open it she had no chance of escaping, she was on the third floor.

Feeling helpless, she punched the glass window so hard, trying to break it with her hand, but instead, her hand felt an indescribable pain. It felt like her knuckles were crushed.

"Shit!! This is bulletproof glass? What house is this? Is this the president’s summer house!? Why is there extra security on the island!?"

After the pain in her hand slowly faded, she tried to scan her surroundings once more. She was looking for items in the room to make weapons, to protect herself.

But she found nothing. Not even a glass or sharp object. Likewise, in the bathroom, she found nothing.

She also could not find her bag. Not even all the accessories she used, such as her watch and wedding ring, were not on her body. She knew Evan had tracking devices installed on her smartwatch and cell phone.

Her knees felt weak as she realized she was losing hope! No one could find her because she was completely undetectable.

Fear enveloped her heart and mind, but she held it together by staying calm. It was the only way she could find a way to get out of this place.

Whoever kidnapped her, it was obvious this person had malicious intent towards her.

Who?

She tried to guess, but only one thing came to mind, the White Skull gang. They were the only enemies she could remember, or... Sonya Mosses!?

"No! That woman can’t hurt her... It must be the White Skull Gang!"

Rose took a deep sigh and circled around the room one more time. Later, she stopped right at a large black door.

She had tried to open the door, but obviously, she couldn’t open it. It was locked. She stood there and tried to hear any movement from behind the door.

However, she couldn’t hear anything. Not even the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks outside could be heard. The room was soundproof.

After a few minutes of standing at the door, she sat on the couch, trying to keep her head clear. She had to come up with a plan to escape from this place.

Before long...

Rose could finally hear movement from outside, her heart beating faster, curious to see who had kidnapped her.

The black door slowly opens, and a man wears a suit and glasses. He looked half a century old from the color of his gray hair.

She had never seen this man. Who was he? Upon seeing the tray in his hand, she could only guess that this man was not the kidnapper but the house’s butler.

"Good morning, miss... Here is your breakfast." The man in the suit placed the tray on the dressing table near the door.

Rose stood up from her seat and walked towards the man, but he backed away near the door as if preparing to leave.

She suddenly stopped in her tracks. Afraid that this man will do something to hurt her or lock her up again.

She needed information from this man to know what really happened to her.

They look at each other, but the man clearly doesn’t want to say anything.

"Please tell me, why am I here? Who took me here? Sir, can you give me my bag? I need to call my husband..." She said slowly. There was no hint of fear or coercion in her tone.

The man still pursed his lips, but his eyes were trying to say something, but he seemed confused to answer.

"Okay, let me ask again, where am I?"

"As you can see yourself, you are on an Island, miss."

"I know that, but what is the name of this island?" She asks, but the man remains silent.

Rose felt helpless. She wanted to know if she was still in Astington or not. Because she found it strange that the man in black outside looked like a foreigner.

"And who brought me here?" She asked again.

"He will come to see you soon..."

Rose’s heart seemed to stop hearing that. Who is that man?
