Rebirth: Dancing In My Destiny -
Chapter 332: Real Expert
Chapter 332: Real Expert
Three days had passed since the graduation ceremony.
Evan was still busy monitoring his team to keep an eye on Ice Island. NONE made many moves, but Silver Phoenix did not meddle because the Black Eagle led by Sean Spencer would be handling this case. Whereas the Silver Phoenix only helped them from behind. This was a state matter. Evan couldn’t just interfere unless they were officially asked to.
While Rose was busy shooting practice with her Grandpa every morning—the training was like hell—and after her shooting training, she went straight to her office.
Meanwhile, Oliver hasn’t been out of his office for the past three days. There is a do-not-disturb sign on his door office.
Rose knew very well what Oliver was going through right now. The hackers who screwed his security firewall are real experts. Making Oliver have to fight until now.
During those three days, Rose replaced Oliver as CEO. She temporarily takes over Oliver’s pending jobs and discusses things with Randy Finley as the company’s COO.
Today, Rose had been scheduled to visit the Wilson Tower with Oliver, but the man was still busy solving his problem; she had to take Randy along.
"Boss!" Randy entered Rose’s office, "We’d better go now because before lunch I have to get back to the office, I have a meeting with Steve Adkins."
"Randy, wait a minute. Let me answer the call from Evan." Rose smiled gently at Randy, standing in front of her desk, "can you wait outside?"
"Boss, you’re still embarrassed to talk to him in front of me?" Randy chuckled as he walked to the seating area.
"Are you sure you want to stay here?" Rose smiled at Randy who was now sitting on the sofa, "Well, if you’re strong enough to see our PDA, go ahead..."
Randy immediately stood up and walked out of the room. He closed the door behind him in relief. He had heard from Oliver and Sam many times that Rose and Evan never hesitated to show their affection in front of them. He didn’t want to see that during office hours, afraid he wouldn’t be able to focus on work, thinking about his future girlfriend who hadn’t shown up until now. Damn!
"Hubby ..." Rose’s cheerful voice startled Evan on the other end.
"Wife, you sound in a good mood? What happened?" Asks Evan.
He is on the top floor of Fortune Tower. He gracefully got up from his seat and stood by the glass wall looking at the scenery outside. That morning, the sun was as bright as his wife’s voice from the other end. He felt like he wanted to go down to the twentieth floor and see her adorable face in person.
He suddenly missed her even though they had only been apart a few hours.
"I just teased Randy ..." Rose laughs and remembers how dark Randy faced before leaving her office. "Hubby, are you busy today?"
"Not really. Well, to be honest... I can’t work. Maybe because right now I miss you and want to see your pretty face?"
"Ha-ha-ha... Mr. Evan Collins, can you stop saying those sweet words? It’s office hours!"
"My beautiful wife, I’m just telling the truth..." Evan said before clearing his throat, "What about you? What are you doing now?"
"I’m going to Wilson Tower. After that, I’ll probably have lunch with Sam and Randy at C Mall."
"Didn’t you say you were going with Oliver?"
Rose took a deep breath imagining how stressed Oliver was right now. Since the graduation ceremony, he’s still locked himself in his office. His problem isn’t over. It makes her worry.
"He’s still busy..."
"Busy?"
"Well, I told you before, his security system was attacked, and until now, he still can’t fix it. It looks like, this time, he met an expert. I’m afraid the expert will interfere with my company’s security system too..." Rose sounded worried.
In the past few days, Rose had thought about that possibility. However, Oliver reassures her that this expert only attacks a program he creates for overseas clients. All of its programs in the country, including the Wilson Group, are secure.
Evan was surprised to hear his wife’s words. Why is Oliver still struggling with his system? Didn’t he already instruct Oscar to stop ’teaching’ that guy a lesson?
"Wife, do you want me to accompany you to the Wilson Tower?"
"No need. I already have Sam and Randy with me. Just finish your work so we can go home early..."
After having lunch with her friends, Rose wanted to go back home. Because training to be a sniper with her grandfather this morning was quite tiring. Her whole body felt sore. However, she didn’t want to complain in front of Evan, worried that he would stop her from continuing her training.
Evan first asked her to promise; she would stop if she were in pain.
Meanwhile, this time she wanted to do it seriously–She wants to be a sniper and also learn essential martial arts.
"Okay, I’ll pick you up at the restaurant. Just tell me the location..."
"Hmm, I will." Rose ended the call because she saw Randy had entered her office again with an impatient look on his face.
Meanwhile, in Evan’s office, Evan immediately calls Oscar after he makes sure Rose has ended her phone call.
"Oscar!! I’ve been asking you to stop attacking Oliver since yesterday. Did you do it?" Evan immediately scolded Oscar as soon as the phone connected.
"Huh!? Boss, I did as you command. But..." before Oscar could finish his sentence, Evan cut him off.
"But why is my wife still complaining? She says Oliver is still busy working on his security system?" Evan was confused. "Did anyone else attack him?"
"In this country, I can guarantee that no one can attack him but me and you. Well, Oliver is pretty powerful..." Oscar chuckled before explaining what had happened in the last 24 hours.
Evan was shocked to hear Oscar’s explanation.
"Wait, you said Oliver was your student?" Evan asked again.
"Yes!"
