Rebirth: Dancing In My Destiny
Chapter 317: Visiting The Prison

Chapter 317: Visiting The Prison

Today was the first time Rose had set foot in a detention center. She would never set foot in a place like this if given a choice. But for peace of mind, she is forcing herself to visit the eastern city prison to meet Sonya Moses. An evil woman who attacked her mother and the source of her stress the past few weeks.

Rose was sitting alone in the small room where visitors met with the prisoner. She stared coldly at the door in front of her waiting for the evil woman to appear. Meanwhile, her husband decided to wait outside the entrance to give her some privacy. Even though Rose didn’t feel bothered if her husband wanted to be in this room, accompanying her.

After a while, the door slowly opened. Tables with bars and glass walls separate the visitor and the prisoner inside that room. Rose sees an old woman sitting with empty looks across the glass walls. How shocked Rose was when she saw the woman in front of her. Looks skinny with shortcut hair. Her face was much different from the last time she saw her. Wrinkles are clearly visible on her forehead and under her eyes. This evil woman aged in no time.

She deserved it, Rose thought.

The distance between them is so close as she could clearly see how the evil woman’s eyes were staring at her with anger.

Rose couldn’t help but laugh in her heart. For the past few days, she thought this woman would reflect on what she had done behind bars and regret all her evil deeds. But now Rose has a feeling that she was wrong. This woman is still harboring insurmountable anger toward her.

After staring at each other for a while, Rose calmly picked up the phone hanging on the side to communicate with the evil woman on the other side.

At the same time, Sonya Moses did the same. The evil woman’s sinister gaze never left her, making Rose feel like ending this meeting.

Sonya Moses said nothing but laughed. The sound of her laughter was shrill, terrifying, piercing through Rose’s eardrums.

Rose quickly pulled the receiver away from her ear in bewilderment at the strange change in Sonya Moses’ demeanor.

Has this woman lost her mind? Thought Rose.

"Bitch! Why are you only showing up now?" Sonya Moses asked, baring her yellow teeth to Rose’s disgust.

Sonya Moses continued after seeing that Rose didn’t say anything. "Do you want to vent your anger because I killed your mother? Hahahaha ... now we’re even. You caused my son’s death, and I caused your mother’s. Did you know? Even though I stay in this place, I feel in a good mood daily thinking about your suffering out there ...."

If only this evil woman had known that Rose’s mother had survived, she might have gone crazy.

Rose couldn’t help but laugh in her heart at every word this evil woman said. "Mrs. Moses! I don’t understand why you always blame me for your son’s death?" She paused to catch her breath, trying not to get emotional.

"Your son was arrested because he is a real drug dealer. And he’s been doing it since he was in college. His arrest has nothing to do with me. I have no power to put him in jail. And, just so you know, he’s not only a dealer but also a user. Do you blame me for all this? Have you lost your mind?" Rose continued her words, "Well, Mrs. Moses, I think you are wrong here. You failed to raise your son to be a good person."

"You’re lying, bitch!!!! My baby Dustin will never touch that drug. He’s a good man. He’s a cheerful man. YOU! Yes ... YOU made him do that ..." Sonya Moses hissed quietly but enough to make Rose feel chill all over her body.

She clenched her fists tightly, trying to contain her anger that was about to explode. This evil woman will never believe what she says. Her brain was full of vengeance and rage, so whatever she said at this moment would irritate her even more.

Rose is curious as to what Dustin is really saying about her. Why did his mother hate her so much!?

Her son, Dustin, almost raped her the last time they met. It confused Rose to see this woman still thinks her son is somewhat an innocent baby.

Rose took a deep breath, looking at this woman with an indistinct facial expression.

"Mrs. Moses, I can’t force you to believe what I say." Rose smiled bitterly. "What’s important is that I say what I want to say ... you want to believe it or not, that’s your business."

"I will never believe what you say, bitch!"

"As you wish. Ah, Mrs. Moses, may I suggest something to you?" Without waiting for the evil woman to reply, Rose laughingly continued, "You’d better apologize to God. I think you still have time to apologize before death picks you up."

"Bitch! I don’t care if I have to go to hell. Most importantly, I’m so satisfied right now that I’ve made you lose your mother ..." Sonya Moses bared her teeth again. Her sick words and hateful attitude make Rose unwilling to linger in that place any longer.

Rose stood up from her chair. Her smile widened before she said, "Mrs. Moses, I’m sorry if I ruined your happiness. I just wanted to say that you, ma’am, didn’t win whatsoever." Sonya Moses was confused with Rose’s words. "My mom is still well alive and not dead like you think she is. She’s safe ..." Rose continued her words.

"WHAT! WHAT!? Impossible... you must be lying, right?" Sonya Moses shouted.

But Rose didn’t care anymore. She hung up the phone and quickly left the room.

That evil woman will never change. She would stay that way, harboring hatred for her.

Now, Rose felt relieved after saying what was on her mind. She would leave everything about this family in this place. Don’t want to think about them anymore. And hope that the evil woman will stay in this hell hole until she dies.
